Enjoyed my stay
I stayed in several properties in Ramsgate after my home was lost to a flood. Staff were all very understanding and helpful arranging properties at short notice, in particular Beth and Dean.

I stayed in several properties in Ramsgate after my home was lost to a flood. Staff were all very understanding and helpful arranging properties at short notice, in particular Beth and Dean.
Lovely property right on the beach, great views and check in was easy. Apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we needed.
I have used MSL for a number of years and have always found them to be professional and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble
Recently stayed in a 2 bed seafront apartment in the heart of Ramsgate, close to beach, shops and restaurants. The apartment was clean, quiet and immaculately presented. Highly recommend.
We turned up to the property and it was not clean. The man in charge was incredibly rude and had no answer to where we were going to stay that night. We rang another agent locally who had a property in the same road and it was ready, they met us on site showed us round and it was a completely different experience.
We will not use My Seaside Luxury again.
.
We checked in to the property on the 03 June 2019. The first thing to strike us was the sand, stones and seagull excrement on
the indoor communal stairs up to the property. We met a long term renter from the property below ours that informed us that the stairs had been left covered in dirt since the previous occupants who's children had lured seagulls into the communal area with food.
We were informed by the Australian (?) lady that the family had vacated on the 30th May. Obviously no one from the management
of the property had attended the building to check it was ready for new occupants arriving on the 03 June.
Once inside the property we gave it a quick check over. Was disappointed to find the toilet which is attached to the lounge had
been used, and the toilet and excrement had not been flushed away.
Later in the evening we discovered some of the light bulbs did not work and we had to swap around bulbs and buy extras.
The welcome catalogue stated there was washing-up liquid and scouring sponges in the kitchen. There was neither. We had to buy our own.
The oven also did not work. Though I managed to set it so it could be used. Very surprised there was no oven gloves which
would have been incredibly useful.
We had been given the wrong WIFI code. Despite contacting the management within office hours we did not receive the correct WIFI code until 18 hours later.
Despite the above issues we had a pleasant evening, and looked forward to a good nights sleep with only the sound of the sea.
Alas, we were woken just after 07.00am by diggers, generators and trucks delivering large rocks to repair a sea wall that was crumbling
outside the property.
I contacted My Seaside Luxury on the 04 June to inform them that we were not happy about being woken so early, and we were considering
moving to a hotel. I also asked what our position would be regards a refund for the nights we did not stay? I was informed in writing by the management that no refunds would be given, and that if we moved to a hotel we should make a claim on our travel insurance. We disagree with this. Travel insurance is not taken out for such issues.
The management further informed us that noise by workmen outside the building was outside her control. I agree, such noise is outside her control. However, the works that are being done outside the building did not coincidentally start the day we arrived. This is work that's been going on for weeks. And I believe management of any
property have a Duty of Care, and a moral and legal obligation, to inform potential renters of such issues so that the onus is on the renter to decide if they wish to go ahead with the booking. If we had been told the facts we would not have gone ahead with this booking.
We were on the coast for a break from the noise and pace of our home in London. Yet we had gone to a property on the coast that was noisy and detrimental to ones health. Further, I have taken
photos of the workmen and their machines as evidence.
The management did state she would contact the council about this noise issue. So we agree to stay another night.
Alas, we were woken again the following morning just after 07.00am.
I contacted the management again. And she stated in writing such matters may take over 24 hours to get through to the correct department. So we agreed to stay an extra night. However, yet again, we were woken the next day just after 07.00am.
As we only had 1 night left of our so-called Seaside Luxury break, we decided to stay. Mistake. This time we were woken the next morning on the 07 June at just after 06.00am.
We are angry and sad at being put through this experience. Our peace totally destroyed from 6.00 am or 7.00 am right through to early afternoon. The only escape was to leave the property and go elsewhere. We gained no pleasure from staying at this property at all. It's been a complete waste of money and has made me lose faith
in wanting to rent a property again.
I last wrote to the management on Friday 07- June to inform her that we had been woken on our last day at 06.00am, but I have been completely ignored. No further communication from her has been received.
When I requested to book this property I noted that there was a strict Check-Out at 10.00am. I asked for a small extension and stated I would be out before 12.00. The management agreed to this.
However, the cleaners arrived at 10.30am and were surprised to find us at the property. They stated no one had informed them. They then left the property. Though I find it bizarre that while they were at the building they did not deem it worthy to at least sweep the communal
stairs of the sand and stones, and wash away the seagull excrement.
The management of My Seaside Luxury have constantly lied or ignored emails. The woman running this operation cannot be trusted. Yet another case of "once we have your money we don't care about your experience"
MySeasideLuxury advertise their properties on other forums such as HomeAway. So please be very cautious about booking through either of them. Neither will help you when things go wrong. They only care about having your money.
For them to call their business My Seaside Luxury is an utter joke !
