Travelling with Grandchildren
Booked 4 rail tickets for travel in August 2026 for my wife and I and 2 grandchildren 7 and 10 years. One of the allocated seats is in a different coach. TrainPal unwilling to change this and telling me to negotiate with fellow passengers and / or speak with guard. The safety of our grandchildren is paramount. TrainPal attitude not helpful or distress this situation for the us.

Train was cancelled from Stanstead…
Train was cancelled from Stanstead airport to peterborough. Rail replacement was only up to Cambridge. I had to make my own way to peterborough. I put a claim and and told them about no trains. My claim was still rejected

Yesterday travelling out of Birmingham…
Yesterday travelling out of Birmingham were announced as delayed but were inevitably cancelled with no explanation.
Had to wait over 2 hours for a train that is usually every 30 minutes.
Train pal live data was always significantly wrong

My train was canceled
My train was canceled, and I saw the information in the app, and I even took a photo of the board at the station. Despite this, my complaint was rejected and I wasn't refunded. I will never use this service again.

Do not trust this booking platform
Do not trust this booking platform. I booked a ticket to Bristol, got an email today saying my train had been cancelled and to ask for a refund through the app. After buying bus ticket instead to make sure I got to the airport, I requested the refund through the app. A little later got a message back saying my refund request had been cancelled due to the trains running again, so I could take the train I had booked. Too late, already booked a bus ticket. But nowhere to contest this cancellation or explain the situation. I will be reporting them to the ombudsman to sort my refund. Poor service.

Scammers
The trains were canceled because a fire started, it was even reported on the news. They were canceled from 7:00 AM until 1:30 PM. They refused to refund my money. DO NOT TRUST THIS APP, THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICES. THIS COMPANY SOLD ME A TICKET FROM SOUTHEND VICTORIA TO LONDON LIVERPOOL STREET STATION DEPARTURE AT 23:43 BUT THE LAST TRAIN ALWAYS LEAVE AT 23:00. I had to pay extra money to be able to get to London.
When I talked to the bot from customer services said i made the request for the refund on the 27th of June at 6 am. While I am writting this review, is 00:35 27th of June.
I am waiting for an answer on my refund and the bot was trying to wash their hands saying "is the issue of the train operator, not the app".
Be careful.

Confidence in train travel
The app is easy to use.
When booking will give me the cheapest way to travel giving a selection of times .
Tells me any delays what platform I need to be on and what times the train is due to leave.
I have already recommended this app to several friends who were struggling with other apps and they agree it’s so easy to use.
I feel confident at travelling alone changing any various stations knowing I’m going to the correct platform.
Made me want to travel more on the trains than before .

Expect Zero Customer Service...
Absolutely appalling company for Customer Service. They have no phone support. Youngsters hide behind their keyboards sending multiple messages via their App with hours of time being wasted for the most simplistic of questions still NOT being answered on the basis of incompetence or the fact that English is clearly not their first language. They refuse to send you any terms and conditions for there £1.99 Cancel for any reason insurance policy. And when trying to obtain a refund, they keep sending you round in circles by either referring you to their terms and conditions that can NOT be found anywhere on their app or by sending you a copy and paste blurred ineligible screenshot of terms and conditions that you can NOT read. Their sales practices are at best amateurish and at best downright underhand and dodgy.
My learn is do NOT deal with this Company that is registered in the Netherlands, operating under Hong Kong law with a serviced office building in Edinburgh! You have been warned.

Booking trip was fine as usual
Booking trip was fine as usual. However, due to high temperature weather warning, I cancelled the trip and requested a full refund (as per advice of train companies). Let’s see how that goes!
Also, journey tracker showed the train that I had intended to take as running (and showed its “progress”) when it was cancelled. If I had been travelling this information was incorrect and unhelpful.

I have only recently got the app
I have only recently got the app, and have had mixed experiences. The booking process is easy, but it doesn't always seem to be possible to get an e ticket, which makes it difficult to get a ticket from Heathrow terminal 5 to another station as there is no machine to retrieve the ticket.
I was prompted to review my experience but not given an incentive.

Horrendous company with a really shoddy…
Horrendous company with a really shoddy website. Under the flexi ticket, they will not send you a copy of the unique barcode for the ticket used on the specific day. This is needed to submit a delay claim and therefore you will be unable to do so. Use Trainline instead.
