How do you build a good community off of exclusivity?

I came from the Landing to Zeen, since they shut down the Landing. I really loved the Landing and made lots of Collages on there, and I had a good amount of followers imo. I don't like Zeen because it doesn't have a friendly atmosphere the way the landing did. Zeen is exclusive, and you have to apply for creator status. You don't get updates on your application. I am not influential enough to receive creator status apparently, and this wierd exclusivity thing feels so juvenile and not at all the vibe the Landing had. Maybe I'm just butthurt, but I feel very left behind by the creators of Zeen and Landing. I felt like I was a part of a good community with the Landing, and it's gone now, and I don't even get to try the new website.
