Painful online process and expensive fees

Even though I am computer litterate and used to this kind of process, it took me over 90 minutes to complete my son's registration. I had to get a livechat help to override the upload of documents. Then he had to input bogus addresses in the USA because my valid Canada addresses that were on the Google list, were being refused. I was made to jump through the hoops of the 6 steps process many, many times before it actually works. Meanwhile, the helpful tech support on the chat has no idea his messages are being sent twice in a row every time and the chat window goes blank unless I send him a message, adding to the already frustrated process. Then came the fees on top of the basic fee, on top of the admin fee... and the fine print that the yearly subscription will renew automatically. The entire thing feels like a scam: pay to use a third party to virtually verify my son's identity for an event we've already paid to attend and could bring all these documents to verify him in person if need be.

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company, even if it’s a requirement for your son or daughter to play sports. Unless, you are paying with a Credit Card that you purchase from a store that requires reloading. DO NOT use your personal credit card. This company will bill you annually even after you cancel. It actually stopped for five years and resumed billing. I paid for my son’s teammate registration fee, so he could participate in an Out of State Football tournament nine years ago, yes, NINE years ago, and I’m still being billed. I canceled this account before the next billing date after the first transaction. I contacted the bank and disputed the charge. National Sports stopped billing for 5 years and started back billing. Back to disputing the charge with the bank AGAIN. Stay away from this company, or pay with a VISA/ Mastercard gift card that you purchase from a store and never reload it again.

I will never sign my daughter up…

I will never sign my daughter up through national sports ID again. It is extremely hard to cancel your subscription. Even if you don’t renew, they will still charge your card. I reached out to them by email. They stated if I do not renew, it will NOT renew on its own. That was a lie. It’s no representatives to speak with or a phone number to call. Something is fishy about this company. I will be reporting them to BBB so they can answer to them. I blocked this company email and canceled my credit card. SMH

The platform is junk. This has been a horrible online experience.

This has been a horrible online experience. The fool of a president in the tri county east Texas area forced this for football year 24. This has been a horrible experience. I hope National ID goes out of business and the Tri-county president that shoved this down our throats smashes his toes on every coffee table he finds. This platform is horrible.

This organization is a criminal scam!

This organization is a criminal scam. We were required by one of our daughter's sports teams to verify through NSID and then NSID REQUIRED as part of this process to charge a recurring fee to your credit card every year, even though there are no recurring services being provided. Then you have to go through a long process to request a refund in the out-years in which no services are being rendered. I hope they get sued!!

Customer service not customer care

I have been emailing back and forth for two weeks. Customer service has sent repeated emails stating my player is verified then is not, then is then isnt. I told them I was unhappy because I paid twice within 6 months with a response that I was at fault for making two accounts although they claimed to have deleted one. Then a threat made towards my child due to my frustration in them taking money multipletimes with still no resolution or verification. The threat was to ban him and not to email again when all it took would have been a response in how to get the situation resolved. They also claimed not to deal with my sons sports league although there are over 1000 kids using it this year. So instead of help I have gotten threats to ban my child from sports requiring this verification. It’s confusing when I have proof (several forms) stating he is verified only to be told later he isn’t. Very unprofessional and could have been resolved if someone knew what they were doing to give proper guidance instead of threatening a child via email.

Terrible company and process

This is a very complicated process they have developed to sell data and make money off of youth sports. Their website is horribly complicated and the only customer service they have is online. I get the need for a birth certificate and a picture. However, all the other information is not needed. Why do they require a boatload of personal information on children and their families? Just another money stop along the conveyer belt that has become youth sports. All this is hidden beneath the stated goal of "keeping things fair".

Terrible store.

Terrible store.
Their website always has some issues.
I've had experiences where I would add an item to my cart about to make a purchase, and all of a sudden, the price increases.
Many of the items in the store are also incorrectly labelled or described.
A waste of time and horrible customer service.
I don't purchase from them anymore.

Ordered a pair of Skechers

Ordered a pair of Skechers, the price was great, and fast free shipping. However, when I opened the package the box the shoes were in was mangled. There's no way this happened in shipping because the bag the box was in was VERY strong and had no tears. This box was torn on 2 sides as if it came out of someone's closet. The shoes had scuffs on both toes. I complained and got the usual we'll refund 30% of your order OR you can send them back. I asked why they were sent out in obviously used condition and they did not respond. Still waiting for this 30% refund that I'll never see I'm sure. My days with them are DONE
