At first I was confused about Direct DSD and DSD on PCM.

My 4-star rating is solely because the music offered in pure DSD is limited to classical, jazz, and a minimal amount of blues. In native DSD, I miss the ability to enjoy other genres of music, such as rock, blues, world music, etc. This is a common problem with many SACDs as well.
Otherwise, everything is fine, and I recommend this service to anyone who finds something they like in the available selection and doesn’t mind the prices—which are nearly on par with those of physical SACDs—and feels that the cost is justified.

The tagging was incomplete; the digital files were very good.
The digital files themselves are excellent. However, I was disappointed by the tagging during my first purchase. A Lindberg Lyd download I bought lacked a composer, track number, and album artist. Many fields were not filled in.
It felt like the files had just been dumped there without any care. Even if the label provides them that way, the sales platform ought to check and complete the metadata.
I was able to fix it quickly using mp3tag, but—after all—when you buy a CD, you don't have to print out the cover art yourself.
Thanks for the fair response. I’m a customer on four different platforms, and the tagging is very incomplete across the board. Some don’t even provide the PDF booklet—even for downloads costing over €15.00.
In the rock/pop genre, a PDF booklet is actually the rare exception. I intend to criticize this everywhere. No one would buy a CD wrapped in cling film without the case and booklet. At some point, we need to start selling downloads as complete packages.
I have improved my feedback by one star, and I will send the item information to support.

You're right about the metadata, and the CD comparison is fair. We receive files directly from the labels, and the tagging varies a lot between them, but that is an explanation rather than an excuse. Checking and completing the metadata before a release goes live is our responsibility, not something a customer should have to do in mp3tag after paying.
We are working through the catalogue to standardise the core fields (composer, track number, album artist, performers) and are tightening the checks on new releases so gaps get caught before publication. If you send us the album title via support@nativedsd.com, we will correct that release and make a properly tagged version available to you at no cost.
