You will be in very good hands if you…

You will be in very good hands if you book with Karen at Naturally Morocco. I travelled on their Secrets of the South itinerary, adding a few days in Taroudant and the High Atlas. In 30 years of travelling the globe I struggle to come up with a country that offers so much spectacular variety. Everything went smoothly, but the beauty of this company is that you feel like you on a real adventure rather than your run of the mill organised tour. I cannot recommend this company highly enough for their before and after sales service.

First family holiday in Morocco

We are just back from our first holiday to Morocco, which I booked through this company after reading various reviews on Trust Pilot. I am so grateful to Karen for her expertise, and professionalism - we had the most amazing family holiday, and I would thoroughly recommend Naturally Morocco. Karen suggested various ideas, and put together an itinerary for nights in Marrakesh, Essaouaria and Asni, including flights, with a half day walk, a guided tour in a calesh and all the transfers in private taxis (all good size people carriers with air con). The whole thing went like clockwork, the people and hotels were absolutely lovely, and most of all we had a brilliant holiday which was relaxing and also interesting, and a real eye opener for our two young teenage boys, who got to see the real Morocco and meet some amazing people. Karen can cater for all budgets, and we found the country much more affordable for nights out and shopping than the Euro zone, and it all felt a world away from the crowds on the Med. Highly recommended.

Another fantastic holiday in Morocco

This was my third time enlisting the help of Naturally Morocco for a holiday, and once again all the suggestions were fantastic.

In Marrakech, Ziad el Zohar was great (for my second time), if a little quiet, but the owner was extremely helpful in terms of sightseeing recommendations and the meal that night at the hotel was perfect. We visited "The Secret Garden" and Les Jardins Majorelle, which were both stunning, and a welcome break from the liveliness of the souk!

Our four days in Essaouira were very relaxing. L'Heure Bleue was a little bit of a luxury choice for us – we were won over by the rooftop pool which was amazing. The food and staff were all fantastic and I would highly recommend the hotel, particularly if you want some relaxation time by the pool in your trip, but equally be right in the Medina and close to everything. The cooking workshop (L'Atelier Madada) was outstanding - great facilities and really well ran. In Essaouira we had some fantastic meals - the highlights being La Fromagerie, La Table Madada, Loft and Zahra’s Grill – all must visits!

We couldn't have had a better trip - all thanks to the recommendations from Karen & Naturally Morocco!

Excellent service again from naturally morocco

Fabulous holiday. We went on a 3 day trek from ouirgane, spent 3 nights in the ourika garden villa then a week in riad des palmier in Essaouira. All the connections worked like clockwork. Karen sorted out booking sleeping bags for the trek at the very last minute which we'd forgotten to book. What service. Our driver Omar was brilliant and gave us some olive oil from his land at the end ! Some lovely hotels and enjoyed the trek - i'm not very good with the basic accommodation, but the scenic walking, amazing food and informative guide/muleteer make it all worthwhile. We had the gorgeous ourika garden villa to ourselves which was wonderful. The lovely helpful manager Karim recommended a garden to visit between ourika and marrakech called Anima which only opened in April. We went on the middle saturday with Omar our driver picking us up from there. Fabulous and well worth a visit. (and i'm a garden designer, so pickier rhan most).
Had a great time in essaouira with our 19 and 21 year old sons in the beautiful and tranquil riad des palmier. kitesurfing with Essaouira Spirit went down a storm as did camel trek and sunset drinks at Taros. So glad we had somewhere to cook as the selection of fish and seafood at the port was amazing.
Thanks again Karen for sorting out a great holiday - I'm sure we'll be back.

Taroudant- A hidden gem

Hi Karen

Sorry to take so long to reply. Life has been a bit manic since I returned.

The holiday was fantastic and all went smoothy.

We were picked up as planned at the airport and taken to the Riad Mur Akush which was lovely. We didn’t spend much time there but the roof terraces were great with some funky chairs. The breakfast was lovely with a good mixture of things provided. The air conditioning was good.

The transfer to Taroudant was very comfortable and didn’t feel as long as it was. We had a comfort break on route. The driver was courteous and his driving was very relaxing.

The Palais Oumensour was a lovely Oasis close enough to the Souks etc. The public spaces were amazing - the pool area, the roof terrace, two lounges, a games room, a small gym, a hamman. Not that we used many of them - we didn’t have time. When in the hotel we were mostly around the pool staying in the shade much of the time. It was sometimes a little difficult to locate reception staff but you could usually stick your head into the kitchen and find someone and they would immediately come and help out. We got by with some French although it seemed the staff only spoke as much (little) French as we did. Not a problem we always got there in the end. The breakfast was a little “samey” for 6 days and would have benefited from some variation. They did their best to cope with a vegetarian diet and varied the menu - even asking if we had any preferences. There was no menu as such. You were asked at breakfast if you wanted dinner and what you wanted. It was then all bought and prepared fresh. As the restaurants in Taroudant had even more difficulty with a vegetarian diet we chose to eat in the Palais most evenings and just enjoyed sitting in the garden chatting and playing silly games. Very relaxing. The hotel was almost empty so we felt we had our own villa much of the time. Our room was great for 3 people and had a huge bathroom. The air conditioning was fabulous and very much needed as one day it hit 48 degrees. The wifi was reasonably robust and, as we were above reception, we were able to access from our room not just the public areas as advertised.

The Real Morocco trips and experiences were really good. All the staff at the Guest House were nice, friendly and spoke excellent English. We kept bumping into them in town - we felt like locals. The Oasis and Berber villages were great days out and felt like seeing the “Real Morocco” as advertised. Dates were changed around to find days when the weather would be cooler for the trips which was fine by us, in fact we were grateful they did this as one day a wind came from the Sahara and it was like walking inside a huge hair dryer set to its hottest level.

For experiences we did:
The Calesh ride - We were advised to do this at the start of our stay to orientate ourselves and this was good advice - although without Izzie, Carol and I would still have got lost many times.
The meal in the Berber house - the best Vegetable Tagine of the trip shared with a lovely group of other visitors staying at the Guest House. A great experience.
Carol did the hamman experience and loved it.
Izzie and I did the Arabic lesson and loved that. The rest of the staff loved us trying it out for the remaining part of the holiday.
We all added on having henna tattoos on our last full day and mine lasted a week and a half! Good value and beautiful artistry.

The Guest House had a visiting group doing work at an orphanage and Izzie went with them one morning - an experience she enjoyed. So thanks to the Guest House for accommodating this as well.

Taroudant is a nice city. A good size for a week’s visit. Very few western tourists so you really felt you were in “real” Morocco. As 3 females we never felt unsafe. When we looked lost there was always someone who asked us if we were ok. We did inherit one special friend who kept appearing so he could help us but this was funny not annoying. The souks were good fun and things were reasonably priced. The Guest House staff gave us tips on bartering and prices we should be paying for things so we felt fairly confident.

The journey back was again comfortable but no stop this time.

Flight home was fine.

So, all in all Karen, we had a fabulous holiday. Your organisation and choices for us were perfect. Thank you very much for what you did for us. It is our second trip with you and we enjoyed this one even more than the first (and we enjoyed that one so much we came back for more).

We come back time after time to Naturally Morocco

We have used this ethical company several times and always found it to be excellent. Karen and Sue have in-depth knowledge and an obvious love of Morocco. The riads are carefully selected, and all the ones that we have been to have been delightful and have given us a true taste of Moroccon hospitality and friendliness.

Itineraries are adapted to the customer’s requirements and Sue and Karen are always happy to chat through and give advice about your holiday.

The itineraries are very good value for money and I get a sense that the aim of the company is for customers to enjoy the real Morocco.

A wonderful trip

Usually an independent traveller, it was a real luxury to have everything organised so efficiently by Naturally Morocco. The accommodation at Riad Darhani in Marrakech and the Kasbah Mohayut in Merzouga was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful and the vegetarian food superb. All travel arrangements went smoothly, and I was extremely impressed when my bus was delayed by three hours, arriving at midnight, to see my taxi driver waiting by the coach and smiling at me. He had informed the Riad that I was delayed, they then met me and escorted me through the Medina to the Riad, and then served me my supper by the log fire. A truly first class experience.
If I had to offer any improvements the only one I would suggest was that the camel ride into the desert was very short and while having electric lights and running water was great, I personally would have preferred a rougher more authentic experience, but I had a great time. A highlight of my Moroccan experience was meeting so many friendly kind people, willing to help in all circumstances and to show off their wonderful country at its best. Thank you for your help and support in making it a great holiday,

Wonderful accommodation

We had a wonderful holiday organised by Naturally Morocco and everything went smoothly - from transport (Aziz met us at the airport; he was a careful driver and very amenable and pleasant; he stopped when we asked him to and ensured there were breaks on the longer days; a comfortable 4-wheel drive vehicle) to accommodation. All the places booked for us were excellent and we have done TripAdvisor write-ups on all except Dar Ayniwen.

Kasbah Bab Ourika

We arrived at Kasbah Bab Ourika straight from Marrakech Airport - just an hour's drive.
Perfect. The air was cool and fresh. A stunning location. Refreshing Moroccan tea on arrival, while our registration was completed. A super dinner in a wonderful enclosed courtyard with bougainvillea all around. A warm welcome and very good service. Then our bedroom which was huge and - best of all - with a crackling open fire! The fireplace was still warm in the morning. We only stayed one night. It would be a lovely place to stay longer and do some local walks and go on some tours. The gardens are huge with lovely views all round.

Dar Daif

On arrival you knock on a heavy wooden door to be let in to a courtyard full of plants , flowers and water features. The rooms are unusual and quirky, but very comfortable and smell fresh and scented. The beds were a little hard for our tastes. We were given dinner and breakfast by ourselves just outside our room on a terrace.. Both were delicious. Food seemed to be locally sourced and after local recipes. The date jam made in the village was to die for. So friendly. We could not recommend this guesthouse too highly.

Ksar Ighnda

A lovely secluded property in a small Berber village a few kilometres from Ait Benhaddou. We were given a warm welcome and shown to our room opening out onto a terrace with views of Ait Benhaddou and olive groves and almond trees - wonderful green below the reddish rock hills. The hotel has lovely gardens inside its walls, a small pool and comfortable sitting areas. An excellent restaurant with very good service. There was a spa and we had wonderful massages - not expensive. A peaceful spot away from the tourist hubbub of Ait Benhaddou.

Dar Ayniwen (La Palmeraie, Marrakech)

Just magical. One of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed in. And lovely to be outside the bustle of Marrakech and yet to have the possibility of a comfortable drive in to the centre whenever you wanted. Our room on the ground floor and opening onto the garden and the pool was stunning (Scheherazade). Staff and management were great and nothing was too much trouble.

On transport one small suggestion - we have travelled to hot, tropical countries with other Travel Agents. In almost all cases the local agent providing car and driver would always have a small bottle of cold water for us in the car. And perhaps a map. Not costly, but they would make a difference.

Thank you to Naturally Morocco for a very good holiday.

Naturally Morocco provided a memorable tailored holiday

We have jsut spent two and a half weeks under Naturally Morocco's tutelage and found them to be really excellent. We would recommend them unreservedly. We had several calls and exchanges to finalise an itinerary, and drew extensively on their personal knowledge. Our final route led us from Marrakech east as far as the desert, then back to the coast, spending not fewer than two nights in each place. We had a car and driver for eight days. Naturally Morocco found us some great places to stay. There were no duds at all, and we really liked the fact that most of their choices were small and family-run: really, the accommodation throughout the trip was exceptional. It was interesting that a number of the owners said how much they appreciated their relationship with Naturally Morocco: unlike many other agencies, they visited regularly and kep in touch with developments. It is worth adding that we felt completely safe throughout. Our driver/guide was excellent.

This company provides very personal service.

The delightful staff take a personal interest in each client, providing detailed, written pre-trip information and advice, running to several pages. They spend hours of time patiently answering questions and reassuring the nervous, single traveller before departure.
They have a small group of carefully-vetted small, attractively-decorated riads, and care is taken to choose only those where the host-owners will look after their guests and provide really good service.
Although not everything went without a hitch on my trip, the company listened to my feedback and acted on it afterwards.
I stayed at riad Villa El Arsa: this small, reasonably-priced, beautiful riad, is easy to find, and centrally-located, with delightful, helpful, informative, and cultivated French owners Noel and Fabrice, and friendly, kind local staff who provide impeccable service. The delicious meals prepared for me by Fabrice and served to me alone in the quiet courtyard of the riad, by candlelight, were a highlight of my stay, and their suggestions of places to visit made all the difference to my visit. I cannot recommend this riad highly enough.

They made me feel like I was family.....

I cannot really describe in words of how grateful I am for the service that the staff at Naturally Morocco provided for me and my son. They made me feel like I was family and answered ALL of my concerns and questions. I have never felt so at ease when booking a holiday.

I had some bad experiences in my previous holidays which left me a little nervous in going away with my son again but Naturally Morocco took away my fears and helped me to regain the confidence I needed to do what I always wanted to do and that is to travel.

From start to finish Naturally Morocco have been outstanding in everything. They listened to what I wanted and suggested an appropriate holiday plan for me and my son, the choice of Riad's that we stayed in were absolutely stunning along with beautiful and genuine staff. The activities were so exciting and exactly what we wanted. We both felt safe around the people that work for Naturally Morocco abroad and it is clear that Naturally Morocco have put so much thought and effort into what they are providing for their customers.

I would highly recommend anyone going to Morocco to go with Naturally Morocco as I believe it is the only natural way to see Morocco!

Thank you so very much.

A one week planned trip to Morocco

We were two 'older' women , travelling on our own from New Zealand and wanting a secure safe trip to Morocco. This company had been recommended by other friends who had used it. From the first emails, to phone conversations, to many MANY questions from us, the team at Naturally Morocco never faltered. They were quite outstanding. Then we began meeting the excellent 'on the ground' staff in Morocco, and experiencing the standards of the guides, drivers and accommodation they had arranged for us. The accommodation they recommended was beyond our expectations and There wasn't a single thing we could fault in the entire trip. A great experience. We would recommend it and do it again!!

I have just read the comments from previous customers of Naturally Morocco and agree with them completely. They were able to organise a tailor Made itinerary for us , recommending riads and trips all of which were perfect for our needs and budget. I had many conversations with Sue and Karen over the phone and nothing was too much trouble despite my indescions!

The riads were small friendly and atmospheric, the taxi drivers courteous, punctual and safe and our trek in the mountains wonderful thanks to our highly professional and friendly guide and cook!. Everything from start to finish was friendly efficient and highly professional.
What a fabulous company. I recommend them without hesitation and will definitely use them next time. Many thanks for a wonderful and stress free holiday.

Taroudant Add On

We had been in Asni as a large group and four of us wanted to travel on for 3 days. I discovered NM on web and contacted them.
everything worked like clockwork, superb 3 days, guest house exceeded expectations and the trips organised by Maison Anglaise were superb. Even the long drives that I was dreading were comfortable and breathtaking scenery. All paperwork and information first class.

What a fantastic company - a real gem.

I had been trying to sort out a holiday myself, after getting quotes well above my budget from other companies. I spotted Naturally Morocco on the Internet and sent an email with my requirements and to my surprise I received a phone call from a real live person the very next morning! I ended up with so much more than I ever thought possible........under budget.

The trip was so well planned, we stayed in two Riads which were fabulous and very different from each other. We also enjoyed camel trekking and an overnight stay in a Bedouin tent.

Our itinerary was detailed and well thought out. The Naturally Morocco staff seemed genuinely pleased to help with any queries and are obviously passionate about Morocco themselves.

I have recommended this company to all our friends. Thanks especially to Sue and Karen, who took such good care of us all.

Fantastic Holiday - Excellent Organisation

We have just completed a holiday arranged by Naturally Morocco and we are all agreed that our trip exceeded all expectations.

Their organisation and planning was exceptional right from the start, nothing was too much trouble. Lots of helpful ideas and advice followed by a detailed itinerary. Thanks to Naturally Morocco everything went smoothly and to plan. The accommodation was spot on. Every riad and hotel was different and had character. They all of a high standard and the welcome, food and hospitality was exceptional.

We travelled as two couples and had a car and driver for a 6 day tour, followed by a 3 night break in a riad in the Marrakech Medina. Our driver made the holiday come to life. He was courteous and polite and went out of his way to make us feel welcome in Morocco and show us so many interesting things. It was the little things that made a big difference. He was always on time – we did not even have his contact details! The car was spotlessly clean every day and his driving was superb. He pointed out places of interest, found us the best places to stop for coffee, take pictures, buy lunch and even find the cleanest toilets!

Morocco is a great country – we travelled south across the Atlas and into the desert – the people are extremely friendly, the scenery is breath-taking and the hotels and hospitality were memorable. We wanted to see more of Morocco than just Marrakech and this is exactly what we got.

I would thoroughly recommend Naturally Morocco. We really did not have to worry about anything – the whole nine days were busy and interesting, but totally stress free.

Excellent Service, highly recommended

We were recommended Naturally Morocco by a friend and talked to them about our wish to explore Morocco. From our first chat with their team to the end of our holiday everything was excellent - they helped us create a great tour and we loved every second of our holiday. We might have been a little annoying in the level of detail in our planning, but their team were friendly and professional throughout.

Knowledgeable, friendly & very helpful

I couldn't believe my luck in finding Naturally Morocco, a small independent company with friendly staff who were so helpful and recommended a fantastic holiday for us. As first time visitors to Morocco, searching the Internet was a minefield of various options, then we discovered Naturally Morocco who prepared our perfect holiday really quickly and answered our many questions. It took all the worry and stress out of making arrangements and always at the end of the phone for help and advice. Great to have the support and knowledge from people who have genuine experience of the country. Would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants a stress free trip to this fascinating country.

I've recommended Naturally Morocco to all my friends

I went to Morocco on holiday with my husband and was recommended Naturally Morocco - a tour company based in the UK. We wanted to stay in Moroccan riads and smaller hotels but didn't really know where to go in Morocco, how to get around or where to stay. From our first conversations with their team right through to the end of our holiday we couldn't have asked for anything more from them - their advice was excellent, the hotels we stayed in (including a kasbah in the High Atlas mountains and an amazing place in the Marrakech Palmery) were wonderful and the transfers efficient. We highly recommend this company.
