Trying to get through the f kin…
Trying to get through the f kin automated system to even speak to am agent is an absolute joke.
I'm seriously p!$$ed off waiting over an hour then finally get through for the guy to say the next person will help with my issue putting me straight back into another queue.
Honestly the worst experience I've ever had and am going to leave natwest now they don't even help with scammers instead telling me to go through trading standards and police then giving me a lecture on buying meds on line to get a doctor.
I'm 57 years old and you're a bank it's none of your business for a start.
Shocking experience still in a queue as we speak been a complete waste of over an hour and by the time you get through your fuming and they wonder why.
They demand respect from you but aren't to good at practising what they preach. Not happy.
A Masterclass in Inefficiency …
A Masterclass in Inefficiency and Disrespect – NatWest’s Business Onboarding Team Should Be Ashamed
If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with NatWest’s Business Account onboarding team was nothing short of a disgrace—an infuriating exercise in inefficiency, incompetence, and outright rudeness.
After being passed around various departments for over an hour, enduring repetitive questions and empty reassurances, I was finally connected to an agent who managed to turn an already frustrating ordeal into an outright insult. Instead of providing the assistance I had patiently waited for, this individual was dismissive, unhelpful, and, in a shocking display of unprofessionalism, hung up on me mid-conversation. This wasn’t a dropped call—it was a deliberate act of disregard.
Let’s be clear: customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience for merely expecting a basic level of service. The fact that I was required to wait indefinitely but the agent couldn’t spare a few extra minutes to resolve the issue is a testament to the utter lack of respect NatWest has for its customers.
For a bank that claims to support businesses, the onboarding experience is an absolute embarrassment. If this is how they treat prospective account holders, I shudder to think how existing customers are handled. I strongly advise anyone considering NatWest for business banking to look elsewhere unless you enjoy being treated with indifference and contempt.
NatWest, do better. Or at the very least, train your staff to meet the bare minimum standard of human decency.
Terrible banking experience
Tried to.open an account online and it was a waste of time. The processes was far from straight forward. Contacted the agent. Was passed from one agent to other agents 3 times. When I thought I got to the bottom of the problem, the verification failed and the application was rejected. I was advised to go to the local bank to seek assistance. This was also a waste of time. No one know how to problem solve. Conflicting advice was given by the agents. Cora the AI provided automated messages, then i was connecedt to the agent who then advised me to contact a number. From there, I was asked to use Cora. In which I explained I had done so. So I ended up in a circle or a wild goose chase. In frustration that no one can help, I gave up. I was going to invest in Natwest with a huge lump sum but they are not interested to help in providing the resolution The local bank agent who could not help, advised me to invest in other bank. What an irony!! So good bye Natwest I will never bank with you ever again.
20 years with this bank
20 years with this bank, Over £2000 missing and they don’t have a clue, trying to deal with complaint to find my money, Told to wait up to 3 weeks. Arrogant customer complaints Manager on phone, How’s that meant to help, They lost my money and until they find it, I’ve to do without.
Nat West the disappearing bank
Just received a letter off Nat West closing another branch for good, Aintree Black Bull Branch this company won't be happy until they have shut them all down. Poor show im'e afraid don't give a dam about there staff the public who use them and they are contributing to the demise of the high street.
Support is awful
I've been a customer for over 10 years. I miss when we could get support via a phonecall. Natwest's chatbot is absolutely useless and can not respond to what I'm asking. Wait times are ridiculous on the chat, and it recently took over two weeks to get a response back about questions on interest rates for a savings account.
Script reading robotic response without…
Script reading robotic response without empathy. Been aa customer since 1984. Don’t think they want real customers anymore. Driving the service down while making more profit. Turned an easily dealt with issue into a huge issue for me and my family. To think the uk tax payer bailed them out, will be changing to nationwide I think. Be good to actually deal with humans rather than robots.
Absolutely appalling service
Absolutely appalling service. The telephone system is laughable, they never answer and if they do they don't resolve issues. The online banking system is equally useless, they have no customer services and are unresponsive.
We have banked with them for 50 years, I will be moving all our business accounts to a branch that understands customer service.
Phoned on a Saturday morning and got…
Phoned on a Saturday morning and got Adele who was brilliant and could not have been more helpful and professional. I have struggled with online banking and am going back to talking to a human being if NW have people like this to assist.
Just a poor service
When they stop stupid kids sorting out there website
I may go back to them, been with them 44 years and the service is just shocking! while there keep of the funds may be ok, there system are just useless!
Unable to access my matured ISA funds…
Unable to access my matured ISA funds despite several communications with NatWest Customer Service team. Unable to speak to anyone whio can actually resolve my problem.
Poor feedback and general services
Poor feedback and general services has left me overdrawn by being overcharged from a simple transaction, charged many times without notifying me or prompting me. They don't care to fix this either. Awful bank. Incredibly frustrated.

Heartless bank avoid
Having lost my job and having to sign for benefit I went into branch and asked them to remove the overdraft facility on my account, which I had never used, as I did not want to go into an overdraft I couldn't pay.... The process for benefits was tortuous and there was a delay in payment so approaching a bank holiday weekend with no funds I went into the branch, who know me, and asked for £5 to be advanced, by overdraft or
whatever. I was there ages and they said no unless I signed up to a credit scheme they were running at extortionate rates for far more than I needed. I was soon back at work and
transferred my account to Lloyds.
Stay far away from this bank.
Stay far away from this bank.. caused alot of issues regrading holding on to my legitimate funds. This was supposed to be paid to my solicitors to move into a new house before Christmas. Completed all relevant information how legitimate proof of where the funds originate from my savings and also where it is going. I've been blocked treated like an absolute criminal and aren't able to withdraw any of my funds. From a simple transfer. Don't keep your money with Natwest stay away!
Christmas warning NatWest Credit Card.
Travel Rewards Credit Card.
Warning as we approach Christmas.
We recently took out one of these Nat West Credit Cards and made the mistake of using it to buy a £40 gift card and got charged £1.20 for doing so.
Unlike many many other credit cards providers Nat West Bank charge 3% for purchasing gift cards as they say it is a cash transaction!
After spending ages looking for the T and Cs online, and failing, I remembered I downloaded when I took the card out, and there it was in the small print.
Just shocking
Just shocking, 5 straight days of rejecting the information I supplied via mitek.natwest to verify my income - 16 different pension, tax and savings income documents and still every day - we need more information from you. I have an excellent credit rating and have never had such an ordeal when applying for a credit card. Take my advice - Look elsewhere. I did and got an excellent offer from Lloyds straight away, no issues, no fuss, no dramas. Not surprised to see such a poor trustpilot rating.
Poor service
Spoke to someone on chat that didn’t understand what I was trying to relay due to a refund being given on an expired card. I then rang which was only 15 minutes or so but the customer service advisor couldn’t help, so now I’ve been withing nearly an hour to get through to someone in the disputes team.
I’ve got to say this appalling and to think I’ve been with NatWest for nearly a decade or if not longer. I feel sorry for older generations having to go through this.
