Ncf sofa shopping

Went to look for a sofa in both DFS and NCF, Brian at the ncf highgate store was very helpful and knowleageable about product, he went through info thoroughly and in details. We end up buying a good and stylish sofa set. Thank you Brian, you made it easy to come to a decision.

Awful company

Awful company! Very unreliable! What a waste of time!

When I placed my order on 29 November 2025, I was advised it would arrive within six weeks. It is now nearly four months later, and I have still not received it.

To make matters worse, the order was at one point marked as delivered when nothing had arrived. I had to visit your office in person to confirm that the item was still sitting in your warehouse.

Throughout this entire period, I have received no communication from your company — no call, no email and no update of any kind.

I have attempted to contact your customer service team by both phone and email, and on neither occasion did I receive a response. This level of service is entirely unacceptable.

I will not be using your services again and I will not be recommending you to others. Totally disgraceful

Purchased 2 x Arm chairs on 22nd of March. All good, no problems or concerns.

Delivery made Tuesday 7th April by Furdeco.

1 x Armchair & 1 x Foot stall was deliverd, 1 x foot stall returned with delivery driver. 1 x armchair that was delivered clearly sun bleached down 1 side.

Visited highgate store within 2 hours of the delivery to my home.

Told in-store by the duty manager to email pictures and any concerns to customer service. Email and pics sent straight away. Also advised by the duty manager only 4 chairs were left in stock.

Contacted by telephone from Natalie within customer services on the 8th April. I Advised Natalie this needs to be quickly resolved as only 4 chairs were left in stock.

Emailed back by customer services Stacey. Conflicting information, awful spelling and grammar within the communications. 8th April. Emailed my concern to Stacey that only 4 were left in stock.

Agreed with Natalie we would receive 2 new chairs and 1 chair returned. Advised Natalie this problem needs to be acted upon quickly due to stock levels at 4.

Stacey informed me that their upholsterer will have to visit the house to inspect defected chair.

Natalie confirmed that this was not the case and it will be a straight swap, 2 chairs delivered and 1 chair returned.

13th April I Called the delivery company ‘Furdeco’ to find out if any order was with them for the expected re-delivery. No record of re-delivery and their system saying the order was full filled and no further action to be taken.

Called and emailed NCF multiple times with no answer on the phone line and no reply to my emails.

Called NCF on the 14th to see if there was any progress, Aran advised that the relevant paperwork had still not been authorised.

Emailed 15th April asking if any news or progress. No reply.

Called 20th April, Spoke to Aran again and he informed me that the relevant paperwork was authorised on the 14th, but now the item is no longer in stock. I Was then told I could pick another item, nothing available at that price point and even if there was the arm chairs would in fact now be mismatched. Advised Aran to return to the powers that royally messed up and come back with another offer or solution to this total nonsense.

No chance I was going to give anymore money to this company.

20th April… Checked stock on-line and 5 could be placed into my Basket to purchase…..

20th April… Now awaiting re- offer as they have royally messed up…

21st April... Email sent, 'Again' Awaiting response.

21st April… I Called Customer Services… Absolutely aweful attitude and total incompetence. Now awaiting a call back regarding my offer of delivering the defected chair back to the store ‘free of charge’ and receiving a full refund….

21st April.. Called Back.. Full Refund offered and collection of said defected chair… awaiting email to confirm this agreement. I've been Told collection can only be made Monday to Friday but that’s not possible as I work Monday to Friday… I’ve requested weekend collection due to this being their incompetence or I return the chair myself again with the offer of ‘free of charge’ and place it within the store doors of the highgate branch with video evidence of me doing so.... 'Karen' advised collection & refund could take 10-20days.

28-4-26.... Still awaiting any form of contact regarding the collection of the defected item.

6-5-26... Today is collection day of the defunct armchair... let's see how that goes...

Defected chair collected as agree today, after a call to customer services I am now awaiting a call back to process the ‘full’ refund as agreed….

7-5-26... Called 9.30am.. Now Awaiting another phone call back as they have to confirm that the defected chair is not still in my house.... and in fact in their warehouse...

Starting to feel like a 7 week episode of Fawlty Towers..

Finally a FULL REFUND RECEIVED.....If it Clears...

On the bright side of all this nonsense with 'NCF LIVING' I purchased 2 new armchairs from 'Furniture Choice' and the delivery was smooth within 5 days of purchase, the chairs are perfect, much much better quality and a great customer service with top delivery guys. So I can 100% recommend them...

***PLEASE STAY WELL AWAY FROM NCF LIVING 'NIGHTMARE' ***

Please also remember that a huge percentage of these 5star reviews are submitted when the item was purchased and reflect the store customer service and not the final outcome of the delivery of goods.

Initially

Initially, I left a positive review, hoping our issues would be resolved. Unfortunately, after months of constant follow-ups and repeated chasing, I deeply regret that decision — I wish I could change it to a negative review.

Our experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing from the very beginning.

The first issue was with the sofa, which was delivered without any screws. We had to repeatedly chase your team for weeks before the correct screws were finally provided and the issue resolved.

We then faced further delays with our dining set delivery, again requiring constant follow-ups. When it finally arrived, the situation was even worse. During our housewarming, one of the chairs nearly collapsed while a guest was seated — an incredibly embarrassing and potentially dangerous incident.

Upon inspection, multiple chairs had missing or loose screws. Only 2 out of the 6 chairs are usable. After reporting this, we were sent incorrect screws, which did not resolve the issue.

Now, months later, the dining set is still completely unusable.

This ongoing pattern — defective products, incorrect parts, and the need to constantly chase for resolution — has made this a frustrating and traumatic experience.

Given the amount paid, this level of quality and service is unacceptable.

My advice to anyone considering buying from this company: please think twice, or be prepared to receive damaged or incomplete goods and spend months chasing for a resolution.(NGOM9999)
