Customer service exceeded my expectations

Nebula is not unlike many of these companies that offer a limited free [thing] then after a certain amount of time charge you a subscription.

In the past, I've fallen for a couple of these & had no recourse for charges, despite being armed with screen-shots, etc.

With Nebula, I found how to unsubscribe* [see end] but couldn't prevent the money leaving my account. As soon as I found that there was a pending credit card payment for a months' subscription, I contacted Nebula via their chat bot, which inevitably took me round in circles.

With the chat bot, if the option to speak with an advidor doesn't appear, just type, "Please connect me with an advisor", or something to that effect, and the chat bot will inform you that an advisor will contact you by email.

To my sceptical suprise, an advisor replied within ~5minutes with the message below, so I wanted to be share the experience.

I think it's sensible to be cautious with this type of internet product, but I'm genuinely suprised & very pleased with the support & professionalism shown by this company.

I will be taking this complaint…

I will be taking this complaint further.

It was notified by my paypal that a further €29.99 was taken out of my PayPal account within minutes of me paying the one off €1 payment for a one off insight. I did not have any readings, I did not click on any further links for detailed reports/insights etc.

There was no email contact. I am unable to afford this unauthorised payment and the worse thing is this was done without my knowledge, agreement or consent. I reported this to Nebula straight away and also to PayPal as its an unauthorised transaction. I did not download the APP i viewed it from their website.

I have just been informed by PayPal that nebula have stated "Your claim was refused because you didn't cancel the billing agreement before the transaction took place. See your billing agreement for Terms and Conditions" I cancelled the subscription which was unknowingly set up by Nebula as soon as I was charged €29.99. I cancelled the subscription within the hour.

Just to highlight i received no push notification and no emails about this extra payment. There was nothing in my emails even after checking my spam folder.

Nebula is processing recurring payments and hiding subscription management inside the UI

Nebula is using dishonest tactics to charge users without proper consent. I was unaware that a further payment/subscription until I saw the charge. They make it difficult to notice the costs upfront, which feels intentionally misleading.

I haven't been back on the website. I haven't viewed or clicked on any further emails from Nebula since I reported this to you, reported to paypal and cancelled the subscription I unknowingly had. This was all completed on the same date and within the hour that I paid the €1.

I couldn’t find any clear information about this being a recurring payment before I made the purchase, which was only €1

I would like a full refund of the €29.99 I have been charged.

I have also notified by bank

This is appalling and I will be taking this further.

Watch out for this

Watch out for this - they are out for your money - you get into it and they offer you something for a dollar and then they get your info and you end up with charge of $29+ and it seems to also be a monthly charge.
Still arguing about it - hoping PayPal will fix it - I should have just used my credit card but for a dollar I went the easy way with PayPal the easy way - Still arguing with the Nebula jerks over it.
At least my credit card company would stand behind me!😡

Beware of This Scam!

I purchased a service for 1 euro on this site. Despite not accepting any subscription terms, I was charged for a subscription. This is a deceptive scam.

Avoid this site at all costs!

Automatic charges weekly and no refund

Like other unfortunate customers I get automatic charges every week. I’ve been charged 10 times.
When I requested a refund they said they would refund me but only refunded 2 transactions. I lost count of the emails sent to them. They appear all kind and nice but they haven’t sent the full refund yet. I had requested to end any outstanding subscription and delete my details built they keep using them to charge me.
This is illegal. Now liaising with my solicitor to address the issue.

SCAM!

It is not possible to cancel the membership, only the bot responds. I will have to deal with the cancellation of the membership through my bank. SCAM!!!
