I continue receive multiple fines and violations for a portable basketball goal that is taken down when not in use. The HOA just wants to collect money, they wont even help with illegal activity within the community that I have brought to their attention multiple times, they deffer to each resident to take care of everything themselves with no help from them at all.
I am very disappointed with the way Creekside at Preston HOA handled a recent situation. I received a $50 fine for a trailer that does not belong to me, even after I explained the circumstances in detail.
Here is what actually happened:
The owner of the trailer (not me) was out of town for a family emergency and drove over 30 hours from Massachusetts, stopping in Virginia, before finally arriving in Frisco, TX in a Penske truck.
On September 3, 2025, after that exhausting drive, he discovered that his enclosed trailer had been towed by the City of Frisco. He had to pay about $500 to get it back, which he did after 1:00 a.m. on September 4, 2025.
Because he was exhausted, he borrowed my truck to retrieve the trailer. The trailer was then parked temporarily next to the Penske truck for less than 8 hours so he could move items from offsite storage and prepare to relocate.
Despite the fact that the trailer was never mine and was only on the street for a short time, the HOA chose to fine me $50. I was simply helping someone in a difficult situation, and instead of showing understanding, the HOA penalized me.
This feels unfair, overly punitive, and discouraging of neighbors helping each other. If this is how Creekside at Preston HOA treats homeowners, I am very concerned about how they will continue handling future matters
