A little gem of a shop!!!
I needed a variety of fabrics this week, for work purposes.
I’m not a regular fabric buyer and so visited the usual big name retailers and couldn’t find anything remotely as I needed or staff that could offer sensible advice.
I found Neil’s Fabrics on an internet search and visited today, what an amazing shop and staff!! They had all that I needed, were really so helpful in advising particular choices/sizes and the pricing was phenomenal!
A real throw back to specialist independent retailing!!
What a little gem of a shop, I couldn’t recommend it more highly!!

Poor customer service
Absolutely appalled at the way this company treat their customers, by making accusations.
The lady in the store needs to improve her customer service skills. Not the first time she’s been rude. She has been very rude on a number of PREVIOUS occasions.
It’s a shame that no one has reached out to apologise.
Check out the tone of their reply to this review, and then ask yourself the question about the standard of their customer service.
They also cancelled an online order because of their vindictiveness and appalling customer service.

No goodwill to customers
Shop had two prices on fabric, difference less than a pound ! Would not sell at lower price despite already cut bearing in mind I had spent £10 online and a further £5 in shop that day, gesture if goodwill would have been nice to keep customer satisfaction . Lady behind me also queried a price she was charged ! UPDATE - In response to the company reply - your label did actually fall off onto the floor as wasn’t attached properly , rather than leaving on the floor I picked the label and put it on the shelf . Maybe be more vigilant when you leave old labels on your fabrics Will not use you again all for 60p and certainly won’t recommend you again. Customer service apppalling !!!

We are sorry that you feel dissatisfied with the service at the shop today. The calico you selected came from our shelf stating £3.50 per metre(after reviewing our cctv, you dropped our £3.50 calico price tag on the floor and placed it back on the shelf), but unfortunately on the one board you picked, we had missed a small hanging paper price tag from a different business that is completely different to our price tags(we bought stock from a business that closed down), and the hanging price that said £2.90 was their sale price. That was absolutely our mistake and we apologise. It was explained that our calico price is £3.50 and the reason why the tag was on it, and the lady serving you even said she would need to check with management as she thought the tag was wrong. You then decided to leave it, which was fine.
We are unsure what you mean about the customer after you. We have reviewed our CCTV footage and the customer after you thought all the pieces they had picked were 5m, but infact they were all 5.5m pieces once measured. The containers state it’s £1 pm, no cutting, so we measure and then confirm the price at the till.
