Took my money and never received my item

I placed an order in September for my new office and have yet to receive my item. Payment was taken, but since then, communication has been extremely poor. The last response I received was in November, stating that a manager would contact me—this never happened.
Since then, I have made multiple attempts to follow up regarding either my order or a refund, but I have received no replies whatsoever. This lack of communication and failure to deliver goods or issue a refund is unacceptable.
At this point, I feel I have no choice but to escalate the matter to independent bodies. This experience has been deeply disappointing, and I am concerned about how this company treats its customers. Would not recommend PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

I had an extremely disappointing…

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. I placed an order back in January, and now, in April, I am still waiting for my item. They originally sent me a damaged product, and despite contacting them repeatedly over several months, I have received no response whatsoever. Considering the high cost of these items, this behavior is unacceptable. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this company to avoid being scammed as I was.

Over 5 months, still no product – very disappointing

I placed an order with Neons in November 2024, and nearly six months later in April 2025, I still haven't received the completed product.

While the communication from the team has been polite and friendly throughout, the experience has been incredibly frustrating. My original item was lost by the courier, which I understand was out of Neons' control. However, the follow-up and resolution process has been disappointingly slow and disorganised. I was repeatedly promised updates, replacements, and estimated timelines (like "2–3 weeks"), but those deadlines consistently came and went without action or explanation unless I followed up myself.

What started as an unfortunate delay and then shipping issue has now dragged on for months with no clear end in sight. Despite my patience and multiple confirmations by email as well as phone that the team was pushing it through urgently, I'm now at a point where I've asked for either immediate shipment or a refund (which I have yet to receive a response to) because I genuinely can't and am not willing wait any longer.

I really wanted to have a positive experience with this company, but the lack of urgency and clear communication has unfortunately made this a very disappointing one. If you're thinking of ordering, especially for a specific date or event, I'd suggest proceeding with caution.

Edit: Just an update that I had to request a chargeback from my bank in the end to get my money back.

AVOID AVOID AVOID BUYING ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE

Following on from my review this week on Trustpilot, I wanted to further help others from being put out of pocket by this so called company . My refund is now 3 weeks overdue being originally promised as a 5-7 days process ( my original payment being made on December the 7th for the item we never actually received as they were incomplete and damaged ) In addition all Communication has only ever been via WhatsApp and email and very adhoc never knowing if you would even get a reply! (They were funnily instantly responsive-when they wanted the sale and my money !) I would also get the rare call on a withheld number but all of which had ceased with no refund being made, so hence my then subsequent review. As already stated my refund was only agreed based on the provision that I take my original review down on trustpilot so my hands were tied! I desperately needed my money back to pay bills this month. So I removed it in order to get my refund back which guess what… I still don’t have!! So I posted a second or subsequent review with very true and honest feedback. It was then that they couldn’t wait to contact me via WhatsApp to tell me ….. ‘to take my review down or they will take me to court’ !! It’s laughable given that they are the ones who have not delivered to a service they promised and didn’t like it when I posted a true and accurate review! I’ve been onto my bank all week and despite Neons claiming the refund has gone to my bank and they are the ones withholding the money is totally untrue?!! - I’ve been banking with a major high street back for many years and never had a situation like this ever happened with regards to a refund, the banks fraud and disputes team have assured me that there has been no attempt of a refund form Neons. So BEWARE! These people/ so called company has taken my money and can’t be bothered to fix it. I will be sure to keep you all updated on any progress of this nightmare of a situation.

4. Our staff have been at the receiving end of vulgar abuse which will not be tolerated.

Joanna SEEKS TO WEAPONISE TrustPilot to BULLY our company in providing a DOUBLE REFUND, as demonstrated by her taking time to write multiple reviews across 3 days. Despite this, she has continued to post multiple negative reviews over several days while not taking the straightforward step of contacting your bank for a chargeback—an action ANY consumer would take under their rights if they believed they had not received a refund.

We design and manufacture customer lighting. Each piece is unique and does take time to craft. On this occasion we did deliver late and there was damage by UPS when delivered. We rarely provide refunds due to the nature of the customisation involved in bespoke neon signs. On this occasion, we offered and actioned a full refund to Joanna. This has been done on the dates agreed; but yet we still find ourselves on the end of an abusive, grandstanding customer who is fluent in trying to claim a DOUBLE REFUND.

Sadly, in e-commerce, some customers attempt to misuse review platforms to pressure small businesses into providing additional refunds or concessions beyond what is fair. However, we stand by our long-standing commitment to customer satisfaction and craftsmanship, as reflected in our five years of positive reviews.

We would also like to point out to Joanna that our oldest reviews on this platform are OVER 5 years old/
We remain dedicated to delivering high-quality custom neon lighting and will continue to light up our customers' lives for many more years to come.

Where can I start from exceptional…

Where can I start from exceptional customer service to quick, fast and efficient delivery that’s suited our needs perfectly! We came to neon with a vision for our brand and wow! Did they exceed our dreams! We are IN LOVE with our lights we purchased from them and at a fantastic price and even fitted our needs with spreading the cost. Excellent service from start to finish

Excellent service from start to finish. Neon Signs were efficient and considerate with my order and tight time frame. I was impressed with their care and passion for the occasion, which was my friends 50th. The sign looks great and would most certainly order again without question.

Terrible customer service

I bought a neon logo sign for for £599.00. Due to a refurb in my home, I tried it worked, but didn't actually put it up until 18 months later. On installation, it immediately started smoking and sparking and my electrician said it was dangerous. Obviously i knew it was out of warranty, however it had never been used so I decided to ask for help. I emailed customer service with full details of the issue and they responded saying i needed a power pack, they then tried to make me pay another £120 for parts they couldn't guarantee would work. When i questioned this and asked for discount or help I was asked for a video and pictures to show the issue which I immediately sent. I didn't hear back so I chased, but then I stopped receiving replies from them. I've chased it so many times now and had no response. This is absolutely shocking and terrible customer service. Paying such a premium price for an item like this should come with support. The problem still hasn't been resolved 10 months later. If your customer service department is reading this I'd appreciate you contacting me to resolve my issue. - Order number NE3331. You have my details.

I couldn’t recommend Neon enough. From the moment I contacted Sophie online they have been nothing but amazing! Really helpful, sending through design ideas and so friendly throughout. The customer service, both before and after the purchase have been first class. 5 stars!

Dangerous. Horrific. Avoid!

Please believe myself and every other review when we say don’t order from here. We’ve been in a battle with this company for a couple of years now and are slowly coming to terms with the fact we have to accept defeat.
The neon arrived no problem, even got a partial refund for a delay in delivery. However… 3 months into owning the sign we found our room filled with smoke and the wiring on fire. Luckily we were in the house when this happened or god knows how bad it could have been.
It started out promising with the manager offering us several phone calls to come to a solution.
Getting the sign back to them was a nightmare, they said they’d pay for a courier… never happened…. Said they’d send someone to collect it personally… apparently they broke down on the way… finally we agreed to meet one of their team half way between our house and their warehouse (out of our own pocket) who seemed genuine and decent and took the sign off us. That was over a year ago…. We have not heard a single thing since, we’ve been blocked on WhatsApp, on Instagram, the lot. We’re now out of pocket and with no sign. They’re a dangerous company who need shutting down. Trust the reviews, I wish we’d have read them first.
