The most VFM VPS provider I've used. Only downside is their support is literally non-existing, even for the simplest things (like changing your billing info) so keep that in mind.

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the recent action taken on my account. One of my servers received an abuse report, and instead of notifying me first or giving me time to investigate, Netcup immediately deactivated all of my servers. This approach is completely unacceptable and has made me feel insecure about continuing my services with Netcup.

Other major providers such as Hetzner and Contabo follow a much more reasonable process — they notify the customer first and provide a 24–48 hour window to resolve the issue. Netcup’s immediate suspension, especially of servers not involved in the abuse report, is highly concerning and disruptive to my business.

Do not trust and do not host any VPS with NETCUP

First of all, we'd like to point out that we certainly can understand that a situation like this is frustrating. We do have a specific process in place for the handling of abuse cases and the temporary deactivation of a server is a measure to secure not only our infrastructure, but also the infrastructure of other customers. The team responsible for the handling of abuse cases then announces a certain time frame for investigation and solving of the issue on hand.

As mentioned above, we do emphasize with the inconvenience and we nevertheless appreciate your feedback in regards of the process and make sure to pass this on internally.

Netcup tends to shut down services like…

Netcup tends to shut down services like web hosting or servers without prior warning if an abuse report or a false-flag security issue comes up. When this happens, the suspension affects the entire hosting account, not just the specific site with the issue. This is worrying for someone like me who uses Netcup to host multiple small applications for different clients. Recently, all sites under my hosting were suspended, including a notable local news website, which lost its SEO and online visibility. To make matters worse, the issue occurred on a Friday evening, and support wasn’t available until the next working day, which will be Monday the following week. I’ve been with Netcup for only six months, and this has been my worst experience so far.

While their web services are generally reliable with little to no downtime, they really need to address this problem.

If you’re considering Netcup, keep in mind that your hosting could be suspended at any time without notice on any issue.

While we can certainly emphasize with the inconvenience of an abuse case, we follow a certain procedure to guarantee the safety of not only our systems but also of other customers which may be located on the same host system. That is why in certain cases, a temporary suspension of services is being activated and the customer then has to take certain measures in order the ensure that this problem does not occur again.

Regarding our support times, our team is available during certain business hours, but we also have an emergency support in place, which operates on weekends and can also be reached via telephone. The team responsible for the handling of abuse cases also submits the operating hours when informing via Mail about an abuse case.

Nevertheless, we do appreciate your feedback regarding the handling of an abuse case and will pass this on internally.

Terrible experience. Support is a snail.

Update: After requesting a maintenance window from support at the time they require — between 10 AM and 6 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 2-hour notice — unbelievably, they still didn’t grant it. They sent me a message saying they would restore access to my server, but they never did. I waited the entire day, constantly trying to connect, and nothing. Now I can’t even cancel the service because they require it to be done 30 days in advance each year if it’s an annual plan, which is absurd. Even worse after such terrible support, which can’t even explain things properly and won’t restore access to the server even when requested exactly as they themselves specify. My server was offline for 3 days because of a single website.

I subscribed to NetCup’s service a year ago and since then we’ve had several server outages, but no other issues until today. Today, December 2nd, 2025, I am in Brazil, and when the day began here, I discovered that they had deactivated my server due to an alleged internal attack, and the support is slow. I need to get the server back online, but they won’t do it. They only keep replying to tickets instead of scheduling maintenance so I can fix the server. Unlike other providers, they are slow and take a long time to respond, and reactivation is not immediate so you can resolve the issue — it can only be done at a scheduled time and during their business hours. Terrible experience.

Our team looks individually and each case on hand and sets the next steps. We do assign a certain time frame to resolve the issues on hand, but first and foremost, we do require a statement of the affected customer regarding the status of the case.

We are always happy to cooperate with our customers, if there are any issues, however in some cases—such as this one—we also need the customer's cooperation in order the resolve the issue on hand.

I am very much satisfied. Great value in less price. Server is fast, and dedicated.
Plus they do not suspend service if payment gets delayed, I paid 25 days late and my service was never suspended.

Netcup's servers are quite stable and perform very well, offering solutions with excellent value for money. I've been using them for over a year and still find them very worthwhile. Customer service is also very responsive and capable of resolving issues, which is excellent.
