Consistent, knowledgeable support

We’ve worked with NetResult for several years, mainly supporting us with Microsoft and related services. They’re knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with, and whenever we’ve needed help they’ve been responsive and supportive. It’s been a solid and reliable working relationship, and we’re happy to continue working with them going forward.

Netresult gave me my money back

I am obliquely mentioned in another hugely negative review, I note that Netresult declares my experience to have been ‘completely untrue’. I think the record needs to be set straight. I considered Nick Bell an IT expert and, more than that, a friend for 20 years. I had no hesitation in recommending him to another friend, whose experience has since also netted Netresult a 1-star. I’d selected Netresult to replace my ageing server, and we agreed on a new high-spec DELL. It was paid upfront, eventually arrived, and was duly set up, but it kept crashing. On close examination, we found that while the server box was new, someone had swapped out the CPU and installed a 4-year old alternative. Someone had installed the wrong RAM; this was 5-years old and too slow for the motherboard. It turns out my requested (and paid for) Enterprise discs weren’t Enterprise at all; they are sold off the shelf at PC-world. I complained. On the day I complained, someone installed unlicensed spyware on my server. Netresult afterwards declared they did this, and it was their common practice so they could ‘keep an eye on things’. They offered to give me a new storage carousel to make up for the Enterprise disc ‘confusion’. But I got my money back, sent them the server back to Mould, heaven knows who got it now. Since Nick Bell relocated this business to Mould, he was clearly happy to sell out a 20-year relationship just to quick buck on aged components. I was stunned. We bought a replacement directly from DELL, it came with the specified CPU, plus the correct RAM, and yes, my Enterprise discs too, and it was still £940 cheaper than Netresult had charged us. As a customer, the problem you have, is that unless you are an IT expert, you will never know. Like me, you will think you can trust your 20-year friendship. And then you find you cannot. I regret recommending Netresult. I wouldn’t have bothered posting my experience, I got my money back, should that incorrect statement not have been made to the other 1-star review. I thought I was a friend, I thought I could trust them, I was shown to be wrong.

Asked my local facebook community for a website designer and netresult was tagged a few times. I can see why now - from start to finish, they were highly responsive, listened to my needs in terms of functionality and created a website that surpassed all of my expectations. Great work guys!

Avoid this company like the plague …

Unfortunately, my experience of net result has been awful. Having ALREADY paid them £2k for installing a WIFI network, they came back to connect it to a new broadband provider. They were unable to do this - for a reason that was never adequately explained - and we ended up paying a different company to do it. At the same time they insisted that they should be paid as if they had completed it and have subsequently pursued this aggressively threatening court action despite never presenting a credible invoice (and also claiming for invoices that they previously admitted were generated in error and would be waived).

I was introduced to Nick Bell by a client who has subsequently sacked them over a dispute about a “new” server, only to discover it was 4 years old despite thinking they were ordering the latest technology. If only I had known before using them myself.

Incompetence and dishonesty are not attractive characteristics in any business.

I subsequently note Nick Bell’s reply. It’s amazing how reasonable he now seems having been asked repeatedly to produce an invoice for 1. Work his company has done which 2. He hasn’t already been paid for. No such invoices have been provided. We are still waiting Nick. Can you present us with a valid invoice ? Or is that not how net result work?

When instead of engaging you threatened to take us to court, we welcomed this on the basis of the opportunity to expose your claim which was based on invoices which Bell already said were either raised by accident or already written off. Somehow - I suspect through widespread experience of disputes with clients - he has managed to get an initial ruling (which will now be professionally contested with a counter claim for costs) without the defendant (who was in any case incorrectly named) being informed of proceedings or being allowed to present a defence, which hardly invalidates the review but is something any prospective net result client should consider if they ever query a net result invoice.

As for the former net result client who introduced us, do you deny they are now a former client and that you fell out over a dispute about a new server ? I even gave you the benefit of the doubt when I learned of this. More fool me.

Reply from NetResult

Hello Barry,

We're disappointed to hear you were less than satisfied with our work, as we pride ourselves on delivering a high quality service.

NetResult successfully undertook the complex task of installing a wireless network at your large property, and at your request completed further cabling work to connect the staff quarters. As you took the decision to not pay us for this extensive work, we took out a County Court judgement which was awarded in our favour.

The remark about a four year old server being supplied is simply untrue, proven by our supplier providing both us and the customer in question with supporting evidence.

If you wish to discuss this further, please email us at info@netresult.uk.com. We’d greatly appreciate the opportunity to work toward resolving your frustrations.
