As a neurofeedback therapist for over 30 years I have have used many neurofeedback and neuromodulation devices. I have been using near infrared for several years. Until I got the Neuradiant I was limited to a four diode system at 810 nm with options to pulse the light at 10 Hz or 40 Hz. What I love about the Neuradiant is the ability to create protocols specific to my patient's needs. I can differentially stimulate with an array of 256 diodes at 1070 nm each of four quadrants at my chosen pulse rate and intensity. My clients have responded very well to this addition to my clinical protocols. I highly recommend this product.

My 83 year old mother has advanced-stage dementia, which got worse after having hip surgery five months ago. She is on all kinds of devices, supplements and a strict diet, but the impact from it all seems to have plateaued. I learned about the Neuradiant last summer but didn't act on it. After the surgery, my sisters and I knew it was time to get serious and try this, if there was any chance of improvement.
Two weeks ago the Neuradiant 4Q arrived and we started her on it. Dr. Berman helped set it up for a protocol to run in the morning and one for night. Right from the start, we noticed that she slept much more soundly and longer, which really impressed her night caregiver.
The morning protocol started off running for just 4 minutes every morning. During that first week, my mom seemed more alert, and occasionally she answered "yes or no" questions instead of saying nothing. During the second week at 6 minutes, we noticed her joining more words together, using more sentences, and sometimes surprised us by asking coherent questions. To one caregiver, she asked, "Who are you?" And after hearing the name, she asked, "How old are you?" This was remarkable to us! She hasn't been commenting on her food anymore. But just this morning, after a sip of her green smoothie, she said, "Wow!! This is just lovely!" with full expression. So far these are just occasional, but it's increasing every day.
I think all the caregivers were cautiously skeptical when I said I was trying yet another thing to help improve my mom's cognition. But they have been so excited each day at all the little steps of progress these past two weeks.
One last little story... Three days ago I accidently ran the night protocol in the morning, and then ran the correct one right after. Then we all went for a walk around the block which she is used to. When we were nearly back to the house, she suddenly got so sleepy, we had to run home to grab the wheelchair while two passersby helped us keep her from falling down. She slept deeply for the next hour and a half, which put her routine her off schedule, but we laugh about it now and talk about "the ability of the helmet".

This device is very user friendly. It is easy to follow the protocol that was set up for us, and it has become part of our daily routine. We travel between two homes, and the packaging of the device with all of the parts keeps it protected and safe. We look forward to seeing good results that continued use will bring.

I am a 66 year old female with one ApoE4 gene and a family history of dementia (grandparents, aunts) and longstanding mild memory problems that didn’t interfere significantly with my work performance. I enrolled in Dr Bredesen’s RECODE program in January 2021 after my husband became alarmed with cognitive problems I was exhibiting such as asking him a question I had asked moments before and forgotten about, difficulty finding words or word substitutions, sometimes failing to complete phrases in conversation, some difficulty with executive function such as sequencing tasks correctly, impulsivity, etc.
My RECODE report revealed relatively mild deficits (primarily inflammatory and glycotoxicicity) and after 8 months on the program my Neuropsych Executive Function scores improved from 73% to 86%. After hearing Dr Berman’s FB Live discussion in July of 2021 I felt PBM would help me regain more function so I contacted him and purchased the Neuradiant 1070 helmet. I have been using it regularly now for 4 months: in the a.m. at 39 HZ for 9 minutes and before bedtime at 10 HZ for 9 minutes. What I noticed first from using the helmet after about 3 weeks was a sense of confidence and solidness in my thinking and processing that had been absent during the previous eight months.
Dr Berman convinced me early on that the PBM would be more effective if I did neurofeedback concurrently. This involved getting before and after QEEGs. His analysis of my first QEEG revealed brain wave anomalies that were contributing to slow processing, memory issues, attention deficits and sleep disturbances. Basically, my understanding of this was that my brain wasn’t able to sustain attention well enough to consistently make good short term memories.
After completing 20 sessions of neurofeedback over a couple of months my repeat QEEG now shows normal brain waves. My working memory network has gone from deregulated at 29% to 19%. My brain has overall increased in power, especially the faster frequencies of clear thought. My current Neuropsych Executive Function score is 90%. I no longer search for or substitute words and I notice more complex words have come back into my thinking and conversation. My memory appears to be back to its prior level of function, not perfect but normal for my age, and I rarely find myself acting impulsively. I switched from RECODE to the PRECODE program recently and I feel that photobiomodulation combined with neurofeedback was a big part of my recovery. I plan to continue using the helmet indefinitely for prevention and maintenance.

I am doing well and improving daily. My work with Dr. Nelson has gone very well and I know he gives you weekly reports. My headaches are much more infrequent and I am not taking Tylenol any more. My back pain is much better. My sensitivity to kitchen noises is much improved. I have taken the last two weeks off work so I havent had to focus for long periods of time but in general I would said a marked improvement since we met in person. The weeks in Palm Dessert and Sedona were great and helpful in my recovery. The helmet has given me no symptoms so let me know if i should increase it when I return in a week.

This product is awesome. Our daughter suffered a Traumatic brain injury in august of 2005. Her rehab since has had its ups and downs. Since starting with Dr. Marvin Berman her progress has picked up. In April he introduced us to this helmet and her progress has taken off. We r seeing more of her personality, she is more engaging and takes a bigger part in conversations. That’s just a few things I can list here, there are so many positive changes.
I would highly recommend it.
