Chased for weeks to get my deposit returned with no meaningful response. Slow to resolve anything and completely unhelpful. It seems the only way to get a reply is to go through the deposit protection scheme.

Not an easy or helpful agency to deal with. Would not recommend.

First me and my partner met Mike when viewing a property in Egham and he was excellent. Though the house wasn't right for us he was incredibly respectful and quickly booked us in to view another. We met David there who was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and professional. We loved the house and they bent over backwards to get everything done within a very short deadline. We've had terrible experiences with all of the other main estate agents but Nevin & Wells are leagues ahead. I can't thank them enough for helping us to buy our first home. I can't recommend them highly enough.

A good experience with all the approachable and professional staff from start to finish, especially Michael Nevin who was our contact throughout.

Nevin and Wells' unique selling point in our case was that we had a very difficult buyer (who happened to be our neighbours!) who were tricky interpersonally (kept changing their minds and the goalposts, even pulling out at the last minute because their interest had cooled which meant the chain collapsed and we lost a property and wasted legal fees) but also financially because when they came back on board, as our only buyers (sadly we did not have as many viewings as we thought we might get), they required loads of financial checks which caused lots of additional delays (and nearly caused another chain to collapse). Michael Nevin dealt very tactfully and yet, quite rightly, assertively with these tricky people, always remaining aware that the buyers were our adjoining neighbours.

We got there in the end and we love our new house! Thank you.

We recently completed the sale of a house in England, while living overseas, and it was a successful and happy experience using Nevin & Wells. David Wells met us in early March on a visit near his Egham office and advised us on a price (other agents said the same), a lawyer (she was great and highly responsive), and warned us that transactions in the UK are slow and might not be completed until October (we got a buyer in mid-March and sale was completed mid-August).
The agent who sold the house was Josh Taylor and Josh was great at advising us during negotiations, calming anxieties, and checking for things at the house for us.

Our whole experience, from beginning our house search to completion, has been a great one. Mike was so helpful and genuine and took the time to understand what we were looking for in our family home. Whenever Mike was not available, the other staff were just as helpful and polite. He made regular contact and kept us updated as and when necessary and was really helpful whenever we had questions to ask. I would highly recommend Nevin and Wells and would definitely use them again in the future.

We have used this firm for years to manage our rental property. We bought through them too. The service has always been first class especially the ladies who manage properties. Quality advice, service and a sound knowledge of the surrounding area make this a quality company all round. Highly recommended.

We purchased our home through Nevin and Wells and right from the very beginning, Paul was absolutely fantastic.

He gave us brilliant advice around using a local solicitor, rather than a national company to get the sale through to beat the stamp duty (our estate agent handling the sale of our home in Portsmouth was really pushing us to use a national firm, no doubt with big commission for them). This proved to be brilliant advice and we were able to complete on 29th March, less than two months after making an offer.

Every interaction was friendly, personable and just really felt like he was as excited and passionate about us moving as we were. Even post-sale, Paul made it super clear that if we needed any recommendations or local advice (we’re new to the area) then he’ll help as much as he can.

I’d wholeheartedly recommend Nevin and Wells to anyone. We’re definitely not planning to move again any time soon but if the time ever came, I’d definitely use them again.

Dealt with Paul in Egham and tbh my purchase was on the verge of collapse but he introduced me to his mortgage broker contact who by some miracle got it all done in 6-8 weeks!

Would've given 5 stars if they were easier to get hold of as called so many times just to talk once. And a couple of times i believe they were abit rude to me which i kept calm about at the time but could've been handled better!

Legends! I just sold my flat with Paul from Nevin and Wells and he was so helpful throughout. I felt I had to write a review because I really feel he went above and beyond. Nothing was to much trouble. I felt well supported and I was always able to chat on the phone or by email.
Between exchange and completion I got a leak (you can’t make it up) I was trying to get it sorted and just mentioned it to Paul and he knew someone local who could help (the guy did a great job for a good price and it was sorted, but that’s another review) the issue was resolved intime for completion. The advantage of a local company they know local people and they know what the buyers want and where they can get it. I also viewed some good houses on with them but we have now moved out of area.

I could go on and on - but look really helpful would recommend my friends and family to use them and ultimately my flat was sold and that’s what you want.

We have just completed on a sale with NEVIN and WELLS Estate Agents in Egham, Surrey.
