I’m extremely disappointed

I’m extremely disappointed. I’ve purchased shoes from brands like Puma, Skechers, and Nike for many years, and none of them have ever sent me defective goods. NEW BALANCE NZ sent me a pair of shoes with dirty marks on both side of shoes and the shoes lace was torned, this experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I’m unlikely to purchase from you again.

No happy atall and not…

Not happy atall and not recommended,bought the shoes online and received last week,never worn them and found out the left side pair toe cap is defective,they should have checked before sending them over to me,email and rang them however they asked for photos.i have sent them but no respond whatsoever.NB has even 60 days free return policy even if it is not defective but not sure why they keeping silent??it supposed to be my nezt week overseas trip shoes,very disappointing.never gonna buy from them again

Not even a 1 star

Not even a 1 star! Ordered a US 5 shoes and received a US 6. Staff are not checking properly the item. Description on the box is different from the item inside. I had no choice but to return the item and since then, i havent heard any or received a refund. It’s been 3 weeks now! The shoes cost 240 dollars!

Poor customer service

Always been a fan of the shoes but the customer service is terrible. Unhelpful and boarding rude, wont be buying from there again. Sadly the store distribution in NZ is woeful too

Hi there

Hi there. Same issue as Jason below. Ordered shoes two times this month and had both my orders cancelled and money returned. My partners daughter has had the same issue. I used two different cards which I’ve had no other issues with buying on line. Their contact centre say it’s to do with their security system re their online payment system and to just reorder…..I’ve now missed out on the deal I was after. I’ve sought an explanation. No reply as yet. I won’t waste my time in future.

They sent a wrong item

They sent a wrong item, NZ post declined the free return, even using "free post " guidelines from New Balance. It takes a month for them to sort out the problem. Staffs are very helpful but my experience was unlikely.

Don’t buy from new balance nz.

Don’t buy from new balance nz.
I tried buying a pair of shoes and my money gets sent back to me a week later, I email them and they say it’s a safety issue and to buy them again. So I do, I try two more times,I also try on a different credit card, all times it gets canceled. Contacted support, of course they were useless, and for the 3rd time I’ve been told to just look out for the same pair. 1 star is generous.

Very slow on returns

Very slow on returns, bought a pair of shoes that were to narrow so I did return them. As of today I am still waiting on a refund, customer service is of no help. There policy of refunds taking 5-10 business days, is definitely not accurate!

Case Study: New Balance manufacturer with poor distribution in New Zealand

I have been using New Balance sports shoes since around 15 years now and still satisfied with the quality of their products. But recently had to deal directly to their New Zealand distribution exposed their poor quality of service.

I ordered a pair online, received different model that I ordered, now its fine, can be due ro error, contacted their support, supplied them with the details they asked for and returned through the NZ Post freepost service as per their instructions. Now this was 3 weeks ago, still waiting for the confirmation from them to recieve and money refunded. Their international support since then is replying to my emails that they are unable to get their emails probably repeated and reminders replied from the local distributors since then.

Local distributors might be a menial, unethical, unprofessional or physically non existing company but New Balance International has been reputable and should be concerned about their hard earned brand identity that they have established and maintained over years when partnering and selecting distributors and should have and exercise their control to atleast get their email replied that two in two weeks.

This demonstrates how the company value their customers and an important link of customer facing, service and local distribution they put in the hands of those who cannot reply their internal emails and that too in 3 weeks time.
