This site is FAKE!

I made a transaction there last night thinking i was getting a good deal. Turned out to be a fake website. Reported it to my card and since the charge is pending they told me to wait 10 days to see if the merchant claims it - if so, then we file a dispute.

In the meantime, i am making this report so this happens to no one else. The site is newbikerbits.com and is FAKE - they pass themselves off as Biker Bits LTD (which this company does exist but they’re on ebay and in England). The site i went to is not legit nor affiliated with that other brand in any way. I know because i asked them.

When you make a transaction on the site, it says you’ll pay by paypal but instead you actually end up paying by stripe.

Though it says it uses SSL (which is secure) I’m not sure if it actually does b/c when you make a transaction, it jumps through a lot of different sites before it brings you back to newbikerbits.com and the sites it jumps through has nothing to do with motorcycle gear. It’s def strange. The transaction i made was $206.25 but they charged my card $199. The address on their website if it’s even real is:

4321 Khale St.
Highland, OH 45132

The page displays opening hours but there is no phone number listed.

However, the transaction got billed on my card as coming from www akece dot com - (not allowed to post links) - i have no clue what this is so i visited it just to see. This site does not sell motorcycle gear at all. It’s like clothes you’d find at Zara or something. The address for akece is different from newbikerbits. Akece’s address on their website (again if it’s even real) is listed as:

11260 Paris St.
Henderson, CO 80640
(970)-568-3082 <—they list a phone # and this number was also listed when i checked the charge on my card. Funny though, this site doesn’t list their opening hours.

At this point, i just hope my card disputes the charge and gives me my $ back.
