Over the past few years we have ordered from this company many times for a variety of occasions. They have never disappointed. Each cake was different and some more complex than others but they were all made to the highest quality with care and to our exact wishes. This wonderful business puts the customer first and returning customers are rewarded with excellent service. New cakes in our opinion provides a gold service. Thank you to the helpful, accommodating and friendly staff. If your looking for a customised and unique cake, look no further than New Cakes.

I ordered a cake for my birthday. It was beautifully decorated and tasted amazing. Lots of options to personalise it and a good variety of flavours to choose from. I chose the lemon cake and it was an absolute hit!!!
It was easy to order, the delivery was on time and very friendly. A real personal experience.
My only complaint is that my guests loved the cake so much, they didn’t leave me with much to take home!!

It’s always a pleasure dealing with New Cakes. I generally want a bespoke cake (at short notice!) and nothing is ever too much bother and the cakes always look and taste fantastic. My family look forward to seeing what the next cake design will be!

Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. The cake was much flatter than anticipated and did not resemble the Sorting Hat, which in the reference photo appeared much taller and more detailed. I reached out to New Cakes regarding the issue but have not received a response, despite their previously prompt communication before delivery. This lack of follow-up was disappointing. Given the high cost, I cannot recommend these cakes based on my experience, as I feel they did not represent good value for money.

From first consultation to delivery Nee Cakes made the experience of ordering a cake for our special event exceptional.

I order a Dhol cake for our mendhi night for Vegan partner and Shay was excellent.

He understood what I required and how to make the make the experience seem less and easy for me.

Ordering vegan cakes before they have never really tasted great and thus I wasn’t really expecting much, but honestly this was one of the best cakes vegan cakes I’ve tasted. It was full of flavour and the design and artistry on top just set off the cake and made it perfect.

The cake was so good we actually had some kept a side for us and we actually managed to have it some more after our honeymoon which was two week later and the cake still tasted amazing.

Worth every penny to see the smile on my partners face. Even though I changed the delivery address at the twelfth hour the cake arrived in date/time as promised. I should also mention how delicious the cake was. Have no fear about ordering online, the customer service is brilliant. Thanks to all concerned 😀😀

This was our first experience with New Cakes, and unfortunately, it will also be our last. We ordered a large chicken nugget–themed cake for our son’s 21st birthday. While it arrived on time, the cake looked nothing like the picture on their website. The chicken nuggets were just blocks of yellow icing wedged beneath a thick slab of icing meant to resemble the box lid, but they were barely visible. The tomato dip was another block of icing topped with a piece of red sugar paper. Even the image on the cake was simply printed on sugar paper and stuck onto the thick icing. When we cut into it, the cake was dry, crumbly, and unappealing. Very few guests ate any. We contacted New Cakes, but they showed no interest in resolving the issue, and PayPal wasn’t helpful either. Overall, the product and service were hugely disappointing. Next time, we’ll be using a trusted local cake maker instead.

Absolutely brilliantly looking and tasting cake. We had an eggless bespoke cake. The cake looked amazing and had figures exactly like the photos I had emailed across, but not only looking great it tasted so good! It was so moist, the perfect sweetness. New cakes are my go to bakers for bespoke cakes, they work with you to figure out the best design for you.

Delivered on time and well packaged, easy to take onwards to the venue. Thank you New Cakes, your cake was centre of our function!

I’ve been using New Cakes for years, and they never fail to deliver my dream cakes. Even when I send them a mix of ideas, like the top of one cake and the bottom of another, or just a rough description by email, they somehow create a masterpiece. It honestly feels like a miracle how they bring my ideas to life.

Every cake is not only beautiful but also a true showstopper that becomes part of our family memories. The team is always easy to contact, reliable, and I completely trust them with my favourite part of any birthday celebration. They’re also really reasonable and always provide options that work for you. The cakes don't just look good, they taste great too!!

I had a 'Diamond Wedding Anniversary' cake made for my parents party. There was a problem with the DHL as they changed the delivery to the day of the lunch party! I got in touch with Shay at New Cakes and they were amazing, and managed to get the cake delivered the morning of the party. The cake was delicious and everyone enjoyed a slice at the party! I will definitely order my next cake from New Cakes.

New cakes made the most wonderful gymnastics cake for us this year. We were delighted. Last year they did a Taylor Swift one and the time before they did a climbing wall cake! They always go the extra mile. We appreciate their creativity and the fact that they do not over price. We will be using them again.

My mum ordered me a buttercream cake topped with strawberries for my 20th birthday party recently.

The cake was delivered on time and tasted delicious. The sponge was sweet but not too much and the strawberries were really fresh.

Was a hit at the party amongst family and friends and I’ll definitely be ordering again, probably a bigger cake for my 21st though ! Thanks

Second time getting a cake from them after 3 years. First one was flawless. Unfortunately, we ordered a cake for my son this time and we experienced a few issues:

1- they didn't have the desired sponge so we agree to replace with chocolate one
2-we requested the cake to arrive the day before the birthday but instead we got it 3 days before that. We had to put it in the fridge taking a huge space of it and,
3- after 4 days the cake showed signs of melting (I have pictures but I am not able to upload them)
4- the sponge was extremely dry
5- we tried to contact them but never heard back from them

The main good point, the fudge was great. The shape of the car looked amateurish but could also be due to being a long time in the fridge.

Overall, quite unhappy with it for such an expensive cake (£144) and we won't be ordering from them again.

I purchased a pearl anniversary cake which arrived on time, however when I opened the box the inscription was illegible as it was completely smudged, the cake was damaged and the bow had fallen off. I was totally devastated as I wanted the cake to take photos with on the evening of our celebration. As it was, I couldn’t even display it and had to purchase another one.

I reached out to the company to ask if I could return the cake and receive a refund to resolve the issue. They offered a discount of which I wasn’t happy with and then stopped responding to any further emails I sent to try and resolve the issue.

I have now had to take it up with my bank to try and recover my payment as I’ve not received anything off New Cakes.

Unfortunately I will never use the company again nor would I recommend them. If you have a celebration which you would like to showcase your cake, I wouldn’t risk ordering from here, as you may be left disappointed and out of pocket.

From start to finish, great experience. Online chat service was efficient and the team promptly returned a colour design for my cake. They communicated regularly with me regarding the cake specifications until delivery.

Cake was delivered on time through DHL eCommerce under Sugar Village Ltd, wrapped carefully and in very good condition. The cake looked true to form and tasted great.

I would not hesitate to buy from New Cakes again.

I am a long term customer, I (shamefully) always make my requests waaay too late but I'm always met with patience and professionalism, along with a strong shot of creativity! The cakes are always beautiful and tasty, but perhaps more importantly, the people who made them are ace! I can't recommend them enough!!!
