Awful moderation

Awful moderation
The BBC must have the most censorious moderation (Have Your Say etc.) going.
It's unbelievable the prissy attitude that prevails.
They must have a long list of prohibited words that might upset some really sensitive customers.
It includes commonplace words that have been highjacked by minority groups.
My fear is that moderation is by badly designed bots that add 2 and 2 and get 5.
Poor old BBC. In a changing world, stuck in the days of Reith and Mary Whitehouse.
The same BBC that regularly broadcasts episodes of shows like HIGNFY full of foul mouthed comedians and their potty humour.
Trying to think what BBC could stand for. Biased, Bigots?
I'll have to think about C.

Unresearched misguidance in BBC news.

News concerning Junior/Resident doctors strike scheduled for 7th April was entirely under researched, giving misguided advice concerning urgent consultant appointments in major Hospitals. A quick call to Homerton Hospital bookings dept last week would have enabled reporters to discover that ALL bookings had been cancelled not just those involving Junior doctors. A call any time today would connect to a recorded mess saying. "NOW CLOSED please ring back 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday". These are ADMIN STAFF NOT JUNIOR DOCTORS. Taking Prof Ramani Moonesinghe, (NHS national clinical director) advice to patients at facevalue, without simply checking its veracity is BAD! Publishing said advice on principle BBC news channel is considerably worse! Emergency services will be swamped by patients heeding this misguided advice. Not surprising therefore that younger members of our society no longer trust or even take notice of major news networks. They now contain similar quantities of "essentially fake news content" to the social networks they seem addicted to.

Strong bias

Following BBC News for my area of expertise, medicine, there is very strong bias. Professors and doctors are ignored and instead a single view is pushed by BBC news as if it is undisputed fact. People are being given a false impression.

It's No Wonder That The BBC Is Losing Discerning Listeners

This is a 'review' of Radio 4's You And Yours in the form of an email narrative - and speaks for itself. (The BBC has long had ineffective 'listener' forums (namely 'Over to You' and 'Feedback' among them) resulting in unbalanced responses in the consideration of their valid points - I've never had a response to any of my many contacts either. So TrustPilot it is.)

Dear Winifred

Today you had somebody - named Becca - described as a food analyser and 'influencer'.

You were discussing ready meals.

I can't forgive you for using dodgy information peddlers that 'influencers' represent.

It is just such an information source that encourages people to trust so-called 'white-teeth' fraudsters - and endows BBC integrity on such vendors. As was demonstrated by your item on the same subject. It's normally possible to judge the veracity of BBC information because it's either a trusted and known BBC reporter - or from the expert credentials presented just before they speak

No information about 'Becca's' qualifications was provided except those I've quoted here.

You use this source at your peril - and you will lose even more knowledgeable and discerning listeners from the BBC's universe if it continues - as it seems to becoming more prevalent across your whole media platform.

If we want such lacking-in-integrity information - it's all around us on demand. You will lose many loyal listeners in the swamp of dodgy influencers, many promoting hidden agendas with undeclared sponsorships.

You very cleverly unstitched her when it came to additives in ready meals - and it was clear she hadn't considered it too much - regardless of what she said. She claimed being 'expert' for six years. I'm afraid it devalues the BBCs integrity.

I really can't believe that you will contaminate the BBC brand by insinuating (dodgy) information from such a source - it really does threaten the fidelity of your long-earned well-respected reputation.

And I repeat - you'll lose even more listeners - including me.

Regards

It isn't even 4K..

It isn't even 4K..

Legacy is ancient and has no real world application unless you are a woman or a feminine gossiper needing to watch legacy rubbish..

The technology is so far behind there is no use for it any more..

The bandwidth is so low that the pixelation issues are showing.

Everyone has 50- 80 inch TVs..

It isn't even 4K..

This technology is rubbish and of no interest to anyone with a free thinking mind!

It might be interesting to someone who is trapped inside the matrix and unable to save themselves!

Upgrade your equipment, speak with O2 and increase to 4K.

Competitiveness in the market place? How is this company remaining competitive with such ancient technology.

Why do they continually need to clarify that I do not watch this rubbish..

Only the uneducated or polluted mind of a teenager or gossiping feminine masculine could be interested in this rubbish..

Brain washing and fake news and subliminal programming in order to control the masses and bring them into some kind of colosseum of miseducation..

Three cheers for the BBC..

Far left biased propaganda not news

The bbc news is unashamedly biased towards a far left agenda and the mouth piece of the Marxist government, spreading propaganda not delivering news.

Unless it starts to deliver unbiased news and not propaganda its days are numbered and so is the license fee.

Why are we paying for a BBC TV licence…

Why are we paying for a BBC TV licence when in our house we never or very rarely watch BBC TV? It is so unfair. It's too expensive. Also why is Wimbledon ruined every year with Andrew Castle and Tracey Austin who's voice is like nails on a chalk board? Same dull people rolled out for Wimbledon, boring commentary and also they suddenly go off on a tangent, calling players nicknames, just who are they talking about? God knows how Children follow this, & I loved watching Wimbledon as a Kid.
In 2025 can we not do any better than this?

I rely on the BBC website for it's broad reach and coverage. Increasingly, however, my standard Mac browser, Safari, encounters broken links or >10 second response times. It is now, virtually, unusable and reporting issue to the BBC techies elicits ZERO reaction...NOT very Reithian...

DISGUSTING MENTAL TORTURE!

DISGUSTING MENTAL TORTURE!
READ READ READ
These S-bags have rated a kids film 11 rated and any under five year olds must have an adult with them.
The film in question is the new Halloween film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, we walked (two parents and four children 14/ 11, 9 and 5 years of age )out within 15 minutes for the reasons I’m about to list you will be absolutely gobsmacked and if your kids want to see this film do not let them. This is an absolute disgrace to the film industry. This film with either be banned completely or made an over 21 film.

The first thing we noticed is an adult that couldn’t cope through the day so they were swallowing pills, these pills were large red and white and showed a few times, reason 2 why we walked out was a serious plane crash where the engine caught on fire, reason 3 a man being eaten by a shark with blood spattering, reason 4!!!!! A woman stapling her face together!
God knows what else happened in this film, but I grabbed the kids grab my Mrs and we left. I screamed at the manager of the film should be banned. I’m surprised the whole cinemat didn’t follow us.
(Maybe they did)

This film I was put on the same rating as the hostel if any adults have seen it it is along them lines. It is terrifying detrimental and definitely traumatising especially to any under 18-year-old. I was gobsmacked!

The manager of the complex told me that BBC have rated this film. I can’t believe that the BBC have rated the film that involves drugs, death torture and explosions including aeroplane crashes and shark deaths at 12 honestly they need to be closed down.
I didn’t stick around with my family to watch any more. I’m sure there are loads more terrifying things but for me I was worried about my children’s mental state. My 14-year-old looked at me and said that what is this film and that’s a child telling his father before I already made up my decision to go.
STAY AWAY i’ll be traumatised. I am sure for the rest of your life.
This is not a family or children’s film this is full-blown horror poltergeist Freddy Krueger hostel chainsaw massacre type film.
It’s right up there with the ones that you will never forget and the last thing you want is to let your children experience this at especially at such a young age whoever made this film needs to be x in the head.

The BBC used to be the gold standard…

The BBC used to be the gold standard for high quality independent and balanced journalism. I never thought I would see the day that it would sink to such a low level. These days the coverage of the news is partisan and commentary sought from only one side - the "right side" in the views of the BBC. Nobody wants your opinion. We want facts and balanced expert commentary.
The service provided is not worthy of it's historic reputation and not worth the compulsary licence fee.

Big Bullsh*t Company

The BBC are a bunch of Bias Liars who are a prime example of why you cannot trust Journalists. They have less credibility that Putin. Even on their "have your say" sections of their website they will censor any opposition and refuse to delete spam or misinformation as long as it follows their agenda.

Go Hard or Go Home

I want to say a Big Thank You to The BBC. Just watched Go Hard or Go Home on BBC iplayer and was amazed. To watch these Young Adults from different walks of life open up and share their lives with me really touched my soul. To me they are all warriors. The Coach and His Warriors who trained and supported these Young People were so supportive and caring that I really think that they have not only taught them to accept themselves but changed their lives for them. Just this programme alone was worth my licence fee this year. Thank you for teaching me humility for younger people. They get such a bad rap these days, that it is truly heart warming to see that this process truly changed their lives xxx
