I have a 6 month CD that came due 12/5/25, and immediately requested the CD be closed and the funds deposited to my local bank. They said it takes up to four business days, yet we are on day six and I still don't have my money, nor does the bank have any answers.

Went on the online banking website, waited a few minutes, then got an immediate call as I selected. Within a few minutes, by providing all relevant info, the customer responder transferred the full amount from my matured CD into my designated external bank. They are really helpful, highly recommend Newtek Bank due to fast service, immediate results, and willing to listen to questions from customers.

I'll admit that the User Interface at Newtek isn't ideal - unlike with other CD servicers I've used, it isn't clear within my account how I might review renewal rates applicable to my CD or where (or how) I might switch CD terms or even cash out.
That said, when I went to chat with an agent, it immediately connected me not with an AI chatbot, but with a real human. Ja'Kira was a pleasure to chat with and quickly answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. The UI might fall a bit short, but the customer service certainly does not.
