Beware of substandard food content
An hour after having a late lunch (comprising starters, juice, beer, mains, coffee and desert costing £61.35 in total) with my wife at Newton Court, Leominster and returning home not far away on Saturday 26 July 2025, we experienced severe indigestion. About 3-4 hours later I suffered from several bouts of chronic diarrhea that lasted until early the following morning. After comparing what we ordered, ate and drank, some of which we shared, and given that apart from a regular breakfast cereal that morning I had consumed nothing else, it became clear that the cause of my problem must have been the Macaroni and Cheese main dish (@ £13.00). On reflection, I recalled that when served, the heat and taste of this dish suggested mildly that it must have been microwaved but nevertheless it did appear to be edible at the time. While we did enjoy the outdoor environment under a bamboo-roofed pergola with pleasant views, overall what should have been a pleasant experience was ruined. Especially given the attractiveness of the site and the amount of money we paid, we would never have expected for one moment that such a thing could possibly happen in such an establishment.
