Nextbase now offers a professional fitting service conducted by our partner and their trained engineers. This standalone service is for customers that have already purchased a Nextbase Dash Cam. Fitting can be at a place of your choosing, including your home or workplace (within UK mainland), to offer the ultimate convenience. The team of trained fitters can hardwire your Nextbase dash cam into a range of vehicles including cars, lorries, trucks, and vans. They will mount dash cam to your windscreen, ensuring it gets the optimum viewing angle, and connect it your fuse box meaning no wires are on show. The skilled engineers can hardwire in any of the current dash cam range, including rear camera modules when purchased direct from our site. Sold out

How it works? The Professional Home Fitting includes the Nextbase Hardwire Kit (RRP £25) in the cost of purchase. This will be delivered to you prior to the installation with the team. The RS Connect team of fitters will be in touch via text message shortly after the order is placed to arrange a suitable date and time for installation. Our partners, RS Connect also offer a home fitting service when ordering a Dash Cam via our website. This 'standalone' service is primarily for those that have already purchased a Dash Cam and would like it professionally installed.
Disclaimer The fitters will only fit brand new Nextbase Dash Cams purchased either directly via the Nextbase website, or via an approved retailer. Please be aware that spare adhesive mounting pads are provided inside the box in case of any change of vehicle or failure. We are happy to offer a replacement adhesive plate in accordance with our 12-month warranty policy should it be needed. The RS Connect installation service does not cover revisits for the purpose of reapplying a new adhesive to your windscreen. Home fitting appointment times vary, but normally fall within 1-2 weeks. During the busy seasons (Black Friday and Christmas) these times will be affected. (No Rear Window Camera Cable supplied) Installation Questions + Why should I get my Dash Cam professionally fitted? It gives you a neat and tidy connection in your vehicle as no wires are on sight. Recommended for use with the Intelligent Parking Mode feature on all models, particularly when using a Rear Camera model too. The hardwire kit ensures you always stay connected and you never need to worry about knocking the cigarette lighter socket out of place. It frees up your 12V power supply to use with other devices – e.g. charging your phone.

Really impressive bit of kit and hopefully works well when needed. Especially with parking mode! Only downside is the fear of this draining battery, didn't realize it had to be removed after 1 night of inactivity which isn't really ideal but overall happy with quality and service

Unfortunately not able to give a review, we have had technician cancelled twice without much notice. Re-booked 3rd appointment hopefully won’t be let down again. If so, will be sending 622 Dashcam back to nexbase

Jason turned up early, he was quick,efficient, very knowledgeable and patient as I hung around to watch. He did an excellent job and I couldn't believe how quick he was compared to the last time I had a dash cam fitted by the manufacturer of the car who nearly dismantled the interior to fit the camera. Jason just had a good look first and ran the wires, the camera is installed, working and hopefully will do exactly what it says on the box if required

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received. I was given an installation date at the time of purchase, only for the appointment to be missed without any proper explanation. When I contacted you, the only dates offered were more than four weeks later, which is completely unacceptable. What makes this worse is that if I go through the purchase process again as a new customer, earlier installation dates suddenly appear — dates that are not actually available once the order is placed. This gives the impression that the system is designed to secure the sale by showing misleading availability, only for customers to be told later that everything is fully booked. This experience feels dishonest and has caused significant inconvenience. I expect this to be investigated and resolved, along with appropriate compensation for the delay and the failed appointment.

I had the cameras front and rear fitted I sat in the car with the fitter after installation, it was raining at the time he fitted it outside the wiper arc so all you could see was a blurred picture when I complained he said all you need to see is a number plate .They came out after I raised a complaint refitted in the correct position, used the spare sticker,finger dents in the headlining .appalling service.

I purchased the Nextbase 522GW Dash Cam with the Rear Window Camera Module, which was professionally hardwired to my car's battery. Unfortunately, both the main unit and its power systems proved to be fundamentally faulty. The primary issue was intermittent charging while driving when hardwired, meaning the camera could not reliably perform its core function. The hardwiring did partially enable the parking mode features, when the internal battery had charge, the G-Sensor correctly activated the recording upon impact (like opening the boot), and it would record for the full parking duration after the engine was turned off. Seeking a fix, I switched to the cigarette lighter power cable. This revealed a complete secondary fault. The camera only received basic ignition-switched power, turning on and off with the engine. The intelligent parking mode, including the crucial G-Sensor activation feature, did not function at all with this method and the battery did not charge at all. This indicates a fault with the camera's power management system, battery and the provided cables.
