This Opticians is friendly, helpful and professional. I have been a customer for many years, and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I was extremely impressed when recently visiting by my welcome and the care and expertise I subsequently received. Everything was first class.
Unlike opticians I had previously attended, Clare said that my prescription had altered so little that she could not guarantee any sight improvement would occur by having new spectacles thus saving me considerable expense. Thank you.

I went into the options without an appointment. I had been working in the garden when something went into my eye which was so painful, I tried to rinse it but nothing worked. I saw Claire who saw me between her booked appointments. Within minutes she saw the foreign body and removed it.
I cannot praise them enough for seeing me, they are so nice and gentle I urge anyone looking for an optician to give them a call, they are all wonderful.

Totally professional service Claire found a mole on the back of my eye that no one has ever found before. Keeping an eye on it I feel totally reassured its not a big issue. Will definitely continue using Nicholso Eyecare.

Both the eye test and the fitting were carried out in a very friendly and efficient manner. In addition, my new glasses took less than a week to arrive. I was also fitted with hearing aids there shortly before my eye test and received excellent care from Alex, the audiologist.

I have been using Nicholson’s for a number of years and have aways found Clare excellent. She listens to your problems and explains everything very well and is never in a hurry, which is great. She is also professional and friendly.
Bonnie and Holly always helpful and go the extra mile and they are a credit to the practice. If I have a problem with any of my glasses they are always there to help and fix the problem. All in all it’s a great optician and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Early 2025 I visited Nicholson Eye care for my routine check, following many years of excellent service (a 30 mile round trip). On this occasion I was advised that my Cataracts had deteriorated to the point where they would need attention within the next year or two. I agreed to be referred for attention and have had both eyes sorted, a new prescription and spectacles supplied ready for 2026.

Fantastic experience with Nicholson Eyecare. Having recently felt my eyesight deteriorating and sensing it was time to upgrade to varifocals, I opted for an enhanced eye test with Clare, who was incredibly thorough and professional throughout. I’m delighted to say my first varifocal prescription has been a great success! I adjusted to the varifocals on the first wear, with none of the side effects I feared and crystal clear vision. I would highly recommend Nicholson Eyecare for a great eye care experience.
