Having had the toughest, most exasperating and most drawn out property sale I've ever gone through, I cannot recommend Carvers highly enough as an excellent agency who supported me and my family through a really difficult time. If it hadn’t been for the Carvers team – James, Amy, Sharon & Karen – and all their hard work, expertise and an unfailing ability to stay calm in the face of every possible headwind you could dream up in residential sales (and boy did we face them), then quite frankly it would never have got over the line. If you want to work with someone you can trust, someone who will listen to what you need and act on it with sincerity, and someone who will always try to help and support you to the best of their ability, then pick Carvers.

Arranged a viewing, made appointments around it, next day they phoned to ask when I wanted to view the property so I said forget it. Disorganised and unprofessional.

Excellent service

I have now used Carvers twice for selling properties, and I am most impressed with the service, professionalism when dealing with them. Communication was speedy when needed.

All staff I dealt with were friendly and very approachable. Sonia Walton, who did the appraisal, is lovely and a pleasure to deal with.

Would definitely recommend this company.

I came here to research whether this company was worth using, but what I found instead was deeply concerning. Their disregard for customer data privacy is alarming—publicly sharing users' registration dates in response to reviews is completely unacceptable.

For instance, they disclosed that Dean Watson registered on June 28th–assumingly without their consent. This is a serious privacy violation and a blatant breach of trust.

Their responses to reviews also come across as disrespectful, which speaks volumes about their work ethic. I won’t be using them.

We have just completed on our first home and Carver have been fantastic throughout. We really need to give a massive shoutout to Bev who was simply amazing. She was a pleasure to deal with, always a constant professional, kept us informed, always kept her promises. She really did make our first home buying process seem easier. We are now enjoying our new home. Thank you Carver and a massive thank you Bev.

Recently tried to arrange viewings for 3 houses in the Newton Aycliffe and darlington area haven't heard a thing back useless

We were due to view an empty flat in Darlington, the representative from Nick Carvers agency didn’t turn up so I rang the office. The representative rang me back and said he was delayed for another half hour which was inconvenient for us. If I had not contacted the office I am sure we would still have been waiting, we were not offered an apology or the chance to rebook an appointment.
Very bad customer service. I certainly would not put my property up with them.

The Aycliffe team were amazing, very polite and helpful especially Hilary. Always quick to reply and gave advice and support every step of the way.
Would definitely recommend.

I spoke to David Tinkler about getting a valuation for my house and he sounded keen. I was a little bit baffled that he found it so difficult to co-ordinate with my property manager to get the keys but told myself not to worry.... Anyway, after he'd (presumably) been to the house I never heard from him again, despite trying him repeatedly via email, mobile and the office number. I find this astonishingly unprofessional - if you don't want to handle a house sale, a simple phone call or email will solve the problem! I was so convinced that he must just be a little slow in replying that I wasted precious time in selling my house. Really shockingly bad behaviour from this company.

A big thank you to Laura Robinson and the team at Carvers for the help in purchasing our first home. Everyone has been fantastic from day one and were there for any queries throughout the process - even after the purchase had completed! Thank you again. We'll be likely to use Carvers again in the future!

Tried to arrange valuation with a view to selling, never heard back from them three attempts made.
Please do not use there are other good agents available

Tried contacting Carver Estate Agent Group in Richmond twice about a current property that's listed on their website as available for sale, never heard anything from them. They're doing a disservice to their customers by not responding to interested buyers.

Absolute rubbish - in communication despite emails, etc.
Clearly not bothered to actually do any work - just rely on a poor website which does not help a prospect buyer.
Recommend putting your property with any other Estate Agents other than these arrogant wasters!

I agree worst estate agent in Darlington, wouldn’t trust them to sell my dog kennel never mind my house! , Val Cheesebrough messed up my sale and the manager Henry couldn’t lie straight in bed never mind tell the truth!

I would have given them no stars ! , I instructed carvers to sell my house after reading the reviews, this was the worst mistake I had ever made , from accepting an offer the sales negotiator Val C was caught out on numerous occasions deceiving us ! And holding back vital information, she was stalling the sale and our solicitor was baffled as to what was going on, hence no sale !! Be we now have a competent agent and cheaper !

Really impressed. We recently sold our house with Carvers, and they were great. They were quick to react and helpful throughout. In particular Emma and Magda did their absolute best for us throughout.

We can’t recommend this estate agents enough. From marketing our property to finding our perfect home, they were with us all the way. Sonia was amazing and talked us through everything that we needed to do to sell our house. She went above and beyond to help us at, what was, a very stressful time. The agents knew the kinds of property we were looking for and informed us as soon as they had anything on the market. We sold our house and bought one with Carvers too which was a great experience from start to finish. We are now in our beautiful new home and love it. We can’t thank Sonia and the team enough. There were times we were going to give up but she talked us through it and encouraged us to keep looking. She was right. Thanks again Sonia.

We have nothing but praise for the excellent work and service we received from Carvers Darlington. Having fallen in love with a property that we knew would be in demand we needed to sell our property quickly to secure it. Sonia in the Darlington team went above and beyond to ensure that our property went on the market as soon as possible and within a week of viewing the new house we had secured an asking price offer on our existing property. It went on the market on Friday and had sold by Monday morning. We are delighted to have recently moved in to our new house and can't thank Sonia and Val enough for the work that they did to make this happen. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them again.

We were interested in a property in Darlington and Carvers did everything they could to facilitate us .

I have moved house more times than I care to remember, so have had experience with multiple agents in multiple locations. Carvers sold my last property so I used them for my sale again this time, and was not disappointed. Having fallen in love with a property we wanted to purchase I needed to secure a quick sale on mine. James dropped everything to come value quickly and discuss a sales strategy. The house was marketed immediately and with Dwyn organising viewings daily, with Vicky assisting too, Carvers had secured a buyer within weeks at a price I was delighted with. Daily updates throughout, followed by sterling work from Val keeping things progressing and the sale completed without problem. Thanks again Carvers for the great work, when I move next time it will be yourselves I appoint again without hesitation!
