Controls didn’t connect to the Switch

Had to send my son’s Switch back to Nintendo cause the controls wasn’t connecting to the Switch. Contact Customer Support online and they arrange collection just under a week it’s back and working perfectly.
Thanks Nintendo

Do not sign up for Nintendo Online…

Do not sign up for Nintendo Online subscription.
Online services are a joke. You can purchase a subscription in 2 seconds. It has taken me 2 years to cancel Auto renewal as the option to terminate is nowhere to be seen on the online services section. Sent emails direct and they have been charged £17.99 for yearly subscription again. I informed them last year that my kids no longer have device but continue to take yearly subscription. Do not touch.

Poor service

Poor service- download code didn’t work on our switch- CD keys told me to get in touch with Nintendo. They eventually emailed back- ‘rest assured we will help’ then ‘go back to the retailer’. Completely useless.

Absolute sh#*

Absolute sh#*
I bought two switches for my kids, registered them under seperate usernames and linked them to the same email address under a family account as prompted by the device. They both changed to the same profile and only one works.
This is clearly an issue as other reviews state the same problem.
So it's Christmas day, I'm 500 pounds out of pocket and have, two kids that were so excited that now can't play with their presents. What a load of rubbish, needless to say I am fuming. This product has been on the market for 5 years and there is nothing on nintendo's site to help and to make matters worse once you've registered an email you cannot change it.
Disgraceful, awful and sums up all that is wrong with this get all your information then leave you hanging modern world.
Did I mention i was furious.....absolutely disgraceful.
Edit
Due to being unable to get any help from Nintendo I did a hard reset on one device as it didn't work anyway. As a result I have now lost the free sports game that was included with the device. So now my kids have two independent devices but one still can't play as the game has now gone....... wtf?
Finally got the one with no game setup. You have to create an adult account, then separate child accounts all online. The child account is not the username set up on the device.
To add the Just dance game I also bought the process is equally frustrating as you have to create an account with Ubisoft the game creators. Presumably so they can also sell your data. So this is one adult account followed by a child account.
Although on the switch you cannot log into the child account as there is no facility to create a password so my daughter has logged in as me so no child protection. As my sons device is logged in under my email he doesn't have any child protection either. I will change his but at this stage do not want to hard reset as I don't want to lose the sports game from his device.
All in all I would recommend a Steam deck over this Nintendo switch as Nintendo make very clear and precise instructions for getting your details but after that you are in your own when figuring out how to set up the Nintendo switch to actually use it. Poor, very poor.

Unable to link new Switch to parental control app

I recently bought my youngest daughter a Nintendo Switch, my eldest already has one with a parental control account. I cannot link the new device to the parental controls app or progress. It will only allow me to register the device to my older daughter.
No problem I thought I will go through the support offerings, unfortunately the support pages just take you around in circles becoming more frustrated with irrelevant content whilst trying to find an answer which isn’t there. The whole platform is exasperatingly poor. No support chat or email, just a phone number that is office hours only

Happy to take your money, but then you are alone

Terrible repair service

My switch stopped charging randomly so we took it back for repair as it’s still under warranty.

My husband received a call from them claiming its water damage. The thing has never been near water! Then they said it can happen just from the air, if that’s the case then that should be under warranty and THEY should fix it. We asked if they had even tried taking out the battery or anything and they said no, they’d just looked it. They was even told the joycons kept disconnecting. Now they want to charge £190 because the switch has been near AIR? AIR!! Make sure you keep your switches in the box guys, or don’t breathe on it, it might break and they might claim it to be water damaged.

Was going to get the new switch when it came out but not anymore. They just get damaged from literal air? JOKE. I absolutely loved my switch but will never get another Nintendo ever again.

Can't access order to cancel. Misleading products sold.

They sell 3rd party controllers without calling out the brand in the product name, making them look like they're official Nintendo ones.
Once you place an order as a guest, you can't cancel it, or access it in any way. There's no option anywhere on the site to access the order.
What a shady business practice, I'm not surprised but the hundreds of negative reviews. Avoid like the plague and only go via Amazon or trusted retailers.

Dreadful experience and customer…

Dreadful experience and customer outcome all round. Item showing as in stock on website. 2-4 day delivery. Email received to confirm order and delivery 2-4 days. Then nothing for 14 days. Couple of hours spent trying to contact them. To be told it’s not in stock. It’s on back order. And no we can’t tell you when it will be delivered: do you want a refund. UTTER JOKERS.

Repair service

Sent my oled switch dock to get fixed and it was done within a week and a half or 2. My dock just stopped working and it was out of warranty and I had to pay - which I fully expected and okay with. It costed £45 and as they could not repair, they sent me a replacement - I received today and it is now working fine. It was quick and I had no problems... I was abit anxious due to so many bad reviews, however I did not want to go to some random repair place. All went well and I would use again. Thank you Nintendo.

Nintendo are an appalling company in terms of customer care

In my experience Nintendo are an appalling company in terms of customer focus and customer service.

Purchase a game from their eShop for my daughter. About 10 months later the game would no longer load - saying it needs to be re-downloaded from the original account.

We've only used the sole account on the Nintedo switch, but every time we tried to redownload from the e-shop account it wouldn't allow us.

Got in contact with support a week passed. Despite the fact I pre-emptively considered what they would need by attaching the original purchase receipts

They spent a week to reply and ask for email receipts of the original purchase (also like they can't see on their own systems then?)

I replied saying these were attached to the original ticket I created, as stated in the email, but hey here you go, I've attached them AGAIN for you.

A couple weeks passed, I followed up with them due to no contact.

They eventually replied as if it was a completely new query and asked for original purchase receipts.

When I replied saying they had been supplied TWICE, please refer to either A. The original ticket, B. The previous response for my attachments they then stopped replying.

We've also been through 4x pairs of JoyCons that fail usually around the 10 to 14 month mark - which I won't even try battling with Nintendo with because my own time is too previous to waste dealing with this level of incompetency and lack of customer care.

Instead made a decision, sold my own switch a week later, and will no longer purchase any Nintendo titles. for my daughters, when her switch dies/gets obsolete etc it'll go to e-waste and will continue to boycott anything related to Nintendo.

It's a shame because Nintendo could be such a force for good in the gaming community. Instead they appear intent and heavy handed in the wrong areas of focus.

Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service. I purchased a Nintendo switch for my son and then when it went wrong not if! But when... they put every barrier in the way to be able to get the service to repair it!! Will not be fixing and will NEVER purchase a Nintendo product again!!! Literally dark ages of carrying out console maintenance in Comparison to xbox/Microsoft! Recommend buying a steam deck and sack these cowboys off!! Fuming!!!!

Do not order from the Nintendo Store EU unless you want to be frustrated

This is an unclaimed page from Nintendo store but I hope that this gets through to anyone who is thinking of ordering something from the site, I also don't doubt for a moment that the other reason you are here is because of the appalling service the Nintendo Store "provides" its customers.

I pre-ordered a game from the site as it offered an amiibo bundle and seemed like a good idea at the time. I made the mistake of ordering this through the Nintendo store and as I have ordered this along with some other items they arrived at separate times.
I received tracking for the game and it just never arrived, I contacted the site through their live chat where the advisor told me they would report it as Lost in Transit and I had to complete a form to request a replacement and ended the chat. Since then I have heard nothing I contacted them at least 2 more times and am receiving blanket responses that they are escalating it, but to God knows who.

Today I have lost my patience and asked for a refund but again God knows how long that will take as well,

I implore you NOT to order through them and go through another retailer where at least there seems to be some response. Its frankly terrible in this day and age that this is taking so long. I try not to order through Amazon if I can but sometimes this is the better option. WHY offer a pre-order if you never receive it?!

Its also a red flag that you cannot escalate or report a complaint. An advisor told me to just respond to the email as a complaint, what customer service is that!?

Again DO NOT order through the Nintendo site, as much as it seems like a great idea it really is not.

Shocking service.

Shocking service.

Sent me a faulty item and requested photographs which I sent. I subsequently got no response so followed up a day later and still nothing. I joining the online chat the next day and they requested that I send photographs again after sending them three times.

They initially indicated I just needed to return the faulty item and then requested all of the bundle.

Frankly im p@@@ed off, so I requested to return all four items I ordered and where delivered, in addition to two items still yet to come.

This is the third time ive had an issue ordering with Nintendo Store. The first time part of the bundle was out of stock I paid for and the second time they missed the delivery date by four days and missed my sons birthday. Yet again they have failed and sent a faulty item for my sons birthday.

I wont be purchasing from them again. 3 games to be returned and faulty items

I clearly clicked the physical game…

I clearly clicked the physical game order from the website for The Echoes of Wisdom game. I collect physical games so I mostly order physical games and I don't pre-order digital games because that doesn't make sense. I just realised that what I bought what a digital game. I contacted customer service through service chat. I clearly said from the get go that I want to amend the digital game to physical game. They asked for my order number then proceeded to say that unfortunately they can't do anything about it. Like why do you need to ask for the order number to say that? Just wasted my time. It's stupid! I've always bought physical games from their website but suddenly my order became digital. Stupid. I hope their next console flops. They keep delaying it, it's getting annoying. They are milking the switch bone dry.

Nintendo switch review

Not sure if this is the place too write this review but here it is. The nintendo switch is the worst console in this era period. I know the switch has its good points like it is portable and great for on the move single player games but the power of the system sometimes let's it down massively sometimes due too lag. I also think the switch has the worst graphics of any up too date console worse power and performance and absolutely terrible wifi connection capabilities worse then any current consoles. This is very disappointing as I love pokemon unite but when my phone is more capable of running this game when the switch is specifically built too play games. With a great Internet connection the switch still takes sometimes 14 hours too download games and the lag and input lag when playing competitively is driving me crazy! I genuinely think the Xbox 360 had simular wifi capabilities as the switch and that was made in 2005 (or it feels better) nintendo is a billion pound industry and I expect more. What a shame.

Use lies to void warranties

Sent a Switch Neon off for a warranty repair only to be told the 24month warranty was void because we had damaged the device and that was why it wasn't working. their evidence was that the USB-C port was damaged. several back and forth with the complaints department didnt resolve the issue. when i got the device back i saw that the "Damage" was just the joining clip that had come apart. they wanted me to pay £120 for a new main board which they were claiming was damaged beyond repair because of the damaged we had inflicted upon it. we had only had it for 5 months using both the provided power lead and the docking station.

Will never EVER use nintendo ever again. what a terrible organisation.

Everyone knows this branch is not run…

Everyone knows this branch is not run by the Japanese company themselves, but is outsourced to Zavvi.

They are destroying Nintendo's reputation in the UK with terrible customer service for many years.

Do yourself a favour and just buy from somewhere else. This isn't really Nintendo, but an imposter who does not care about you. I will never buy from them again.

Customer support are very rude

Customer support are very rude , don’t know how to have a simple conversation without becoming passive aggressive; experienced this on two different occasions when contacting regarding a repair order , not sure if it is a language barrier or because staff just genuinely have no manners.
