Not what I ordered

I ordered nivie tanning drops after seeing some really good reviews, checked the website was legit and thought everything was good. I've received my order this morning and instead of Nivie Drops I've received Milano drops, made in China. Certainly not what I paid for or ordered. I've emailed the company but I'm not holding my breath

Customer Service - just an AI Bot??? Beware!

Boy, wish I had checked Trustpilot before placing an order!
I placed my original order on May 4th and unfortunately the secured payment method I used pulled an old address, which I caught immediately. I reached out ASAP to their support (hi#nivie.co) and provided the correct address and asked for confirmation. Got a quick reply that was clearly a bot asking if I wanted to change my shipping address and if so, provide the right one. Soooo, I replied again to that email and gave the corrected address again (along with my order number to confirm). Received no further follow-up and eventually received a shipping confirmation. When I received an update that the order was delivered (when in fact it wasn't), I followed up with the shipping carrier who confirmed that the address for that package was incorrect. Followed up yet again with "Katie" from Nivie to explain and once again got a canned response. Despite giving "Katie" my corrected address at least 3 times after the wrong order shipped out, she kept asking me to confirm the address a replacement should be going to (hmmmm, either Katie has short term memory loss or the Bot was stuck in a loop). I was assured that my file had been flagged as "urgent" and they would be getting to the bottom of it ASAP. 4 days and 2 follow-ups later and I have heard nothing back on my "urgent" order. I've given them one last opportunity and a deadline of tomorrow to reply with legitimate order info and tracking or else I'll be reporting this fraud to my credit card.
Seriously, beware before you even think of buying from this company. Clearly there are many of us that are experiencing similar issues, so "Katie" you may want to consider improving your customer service and transparency if you are in fact a real person with a "small team of 4 of you in the warehouse".

I ordered almost a month ago and have never received anything and nobody will return my repeated attempts to contact anyone at this apparently fake company. Guess I’ll go file claims with credit card and better business bureau.

Hey, I'm genuinely sorry this happened to you.

Reading this honestly made my stomach drop because this is exactly what we've been trying to fix.

We had this fulfillment partner that completely screwed us over - they were supposed to handle shipping but just stopped responding to us AND customers.

We literally didn't know orders weren't going out until reviews like yours started coming in. I spent three weeks personally driving to their warehouse trying to get answers.

We've since moved everything in-house and I personally oversee every single shipment now.

I know this doesn't fix what happened to you, but please email me directly at admin@nivie.co with your order number - I'll personally overnight you a replacement plus a full refund for the trouble.

We're just four people trying to build something real, and seeing reviews like this reminds me how much trust you put in us that we completely failed to honor.

Fraudulent Company

I did my research into this company and found multiple indicators of fraud.
I would not trust Nivie.

NIVIE - Tan Drops - FAKE

*update 2 June*
The items has now been refunded and the original still has not arrived'

*update 28 May*
Not only have I not received my order, or a refund. I have received a fake delivery note which the post office know nothing about.
They are now refusing to respond to my emails.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!
I do not believe one word of their reply below! Do not be taken in!

The US address is fake and unconnected to the company or product. It is impossible to contact the company, other than via the email they provide is hi@nivieco*

I believe the product is fake, and not the product I was trying to order.
For this reason I have asked for a refund as I do not feel it will be safe to take.
I ordered the product 5 May and it is the 13 May and it has still not arrived.
Tracking says 'from China'
I have asked for a refund via email.
I will keep you updated.

I can see why our setup looks sketchy and honestly, your research was probably smart.
About the China shipping - I get it, I really do.

But here's the thing most people don't realize: even the big brands like Nature Made and Garden of Life manufacture overseas.

Our ingredients actually come from all over the world with careful sourcing which we take very seriously.

What happens is all these ingredients get shipped to our FDA-approved facility in China where everything gets assembled under really strict quality controls.

Like, our facility manager sends me photos of every batch before it ships.

I know saying "but the big guys do it too" sounds like an excuse, but the reality is if we manufactured here in the US, we'd have to charge like $120 per bottle instead of $34.

When you're a tiny company trying to compete with brands that have billion-dollar marketing budgets, you make choices that end up looking really shady from the outside.

We should've been way more upfront about our supply chain from day one.

If you decide to give us another chance, I'd love to send you our updated transparency report that breaks down our entire process.

These are fake

These are fake

They arrived in packaging that is clearly fake

They say ‘Milano drops’ and ‘made in china’ on the cheap plastic wrap mass produced bottles.

I emailed and complained and they said they are a small 4 person company

I told them I could see right through this and know they are fake.

They did eventually refund me

This one really hurt to read, and honestly, I completely understand why you thought they were fake.

We probably should have seen this reaction coming.

So here's what actually happened - those Milano bottles you got, that's intentional on our part.

We have thousands of leftover Milano packaging from our previous branding, and instead of just throwing them all in a landfill, we decided to use them up with our new updated formula inside.

It's part of our whole sustainability thing, but I realize now how sketchy that must look when you're expecting one thing and get something completely different.

The formula inside those Milano bottles is actually our newest, highest quality version - we literally just updated it three months ago with better absorption rates and purity levels.

But getting a Milano-labeled bottle when you ordered from Nivie would make anyone think they got scammed.

That's totally on us for not explaining this anywhere on our site or in emails.

When I told you we're a "small 4 person company," I wasn't trying to make excuses - I was just flustered because this was the first time someone called us out on the packaging thing and I didn't handle it well.

We should have led with the sustainability explanation and shown you our lab reports proving it's the real formula.

We've now added a whole section on our site explaining our packaging reuse program.

The fact that we eventually refunded you doesn't undo the stress and confusion we caused.

That's completely on us.

I wish I had seen this site before…

I wish I had seen this site before ordering. They claim to be made in the US or EU but package came from China and was Milano brand not Zivie as per ad/claims. I am going to try to get a refund and return these as i dont feel safe taking something that's a lie.

Hey Suzen, I hear you and I’m really glad you brought this up so we can clear the air.

So here’s the deal: we recently rebranded from our previous name (Milano) to Nivie but same team, same mission, completely upgraded formula.

But to avoid wasting hundreds of perfectly good bottles (and adding more trash to the planet), we’ve been using up our old packaging while we roll out the new one.

What you got is exactly the new Nivie formula we talk about in our ads which is made in an FDA-registered facility, 100% safe, and way more effective than our older blends.

We're just not the type to throw away good stock and pretend to be “eco” but we’re actually doing it.

If you're still unsure or want help with a refund, just shoot us an email at hi@nivie.co.

We're real people here and Katie (our founder) takes this kind of thing personally.

Appreciate you giving us the chance to explain 💛

Can confirm it's a scam

Can confirm it's a scam. Received knock-off Milano Drops (Not Nivie) and I asked Milano via their chat and they confirm only them and avayaglow.com sell the real product.

Hey Lina, I get why this looks confusing at first, so let me explain exactly what’s going on.

Nivie used to be called Milano.

We rebranded a few months ago to reflect our new formula, our mission, and our visual identity.

But to avoid creating unnecessary waste, we are still using some of our old Milano packaging while rolling out the new Nivie branding.

So if you received a bottle labeled Milano, yes, that’s with a new upgraded formula inside anyways.

As for the “only avayaglow.com is real” claim, that’s just not true.

We’ve had people try to copy us in the past, so we get the concern, but hi@nivie.co is our only official email, and nivie.co is the only website we sell through right now.

If you have any doubts or want help confirming your order, just shoot us a message. We’re happy to help.

Thanks for calling it out. We’d rather have the chance to clear things up than let anyone walk away confused.

Scam

Scam. Delivered items from Temu with a different label to advertised. Basically buying and reselling for 10x the price and not safe items. Customer service is non-existent.

Hey Lauren-Rose, I totally get why you'd be frustrated if it looked like the product came from somewhere random.

But just to clear things up, we don’t buy from Temu, we don’t dropship, We actually have our own stock and we definitely don’t resell cheap knock-offs.

We manufacture everything ourselves in certified facilities and ship using different fulfillment partners, so depending on where you’re based, the tracking label or packaging may look a bit unfamiliar. That doesn’t mean the product isn’t real. It’s ours, and it’s safe.

Also, our customer service is very much alive. If you haven’t heard back yet, please email us at hi@nivie.co and we’ll get you sorted. We reply to every single message.

We care about every order, and every person behind it. If anything ever feels off, talk to us. We’ll fix it.

Kira, this one really stings because you didn't give us any details about what went wrong. Like, did you not receive your order? Was there a problem with the product? Did our customer service mess something up?
I'm not trying to be defensive here, but calling us a "scam" without explaining what happened makes it really hard for us to fix whatever we did wrong. We're literally just four people working out of a small office trying to build something real. When I see reviews like this, I spend hours going through our records trying to figure out if we missed an email or if there was a shipping issue.
If you actually ordered from us and had a bad experience, I genuinely want to make it right. I personally respond to everything. But if you didn't order and you're just warning people based on other reviews or something, I get it - there's a lot of sketchy supplement companies out there and it's smart to be cautious.
Either way, if you want to tell me specifically what made you feel like we're a scam, I'm here to listen and learn from it.
