Excellent customer service, Maisie couldn’t have been more helpful

We wanted to visit this lounge as a large family group but wanted to book our passes through Revolut as we had rev points available. To do so and reserve access to the lounge I needed to contact No1.

They replied very quickly, within 48 hours of my initial message, and a few hours later Maisie managed to sort it all out for us and ensure we’d have access to the lounge when we fly.

First impressions of the customer service here is very good and can’t wait to visit it next month

Number one lounge T3 Heathrow

Number one lounge T3 Heathrow. Really poor experience. Admission person couldnt get boarding passes to scan for over 5 minutes. When we got in there was nowhere we could sit as a group (of 3). No toast, no cups, all coffee machines on the blink. No juices. Won't bother paying again. Really poor and not value for money.

Food choice is a rip off

Food - lack of it and limited choices. TBH you would be better off eating in the main airport. However, the lounge itself is nice, which is why the food issue is such as shame for a new lounge.

Absolutely awful customer service

Absolutely awful customer service. Staff are terribly rude. At one point all the staff were gathered around moaning and gossiping about customers rather than actually serving/helping them.
One particular staff member at the bar was aggressive, rude and nasty.

Bad experience

I have just had my visit voided at the No1 Lounge in Luton Airport. Absolutely disgusting, from dirty cutlery to cold food and to top it all no eggs or bacon and no bread. The place is a joke, don’t waste your money !!

Absolute disgrace of a lounge

Absolute disgrace of a lounge. It is so busy you cannot get a seat, so better off just sitting in the main area. service is poor due to overcrowding. In addition wine was spillt all over my wife, broken glass on the floor and no-one cleaned it up. This is not worth the money better off spending the £40 it costs to sit in one of the nice bars, cheaper and with seats too. Pointless product and strongly recommend not to book this. I work in the sector and can say without a showdow of a doubt this is not worth the money

Absolutely shocking staff and terrible compensation from after sales team

I had booked no 1 lounges 2 months in advance of travel for 7 travelers in total. When we arrived we were told by staff to wait in a queue to get in. We ended up waiting in that queue for over 45 minutes. When the staff looked at my booking she argued with me that the booking was only for 4 people and my partner had to argue with her despite showing her my reservation. By the time we got into the lounge our gate was called so that meant we only had 10-15 minutes to eat and leave the lounge.

We were travelling with a baby and a man with dementia. This experience was very distressing especially for the man with dementia. I contacted the complaints team and initially they wanted to give me 25% off a future booking, I explained I am not a frequent flyer and that this was not a acceptable amount to compensate. They wrote back and offered me 25% of my booking back which is only £45. I had paid £180 for 5 adults, a baby and a 7 year old. We were booked to enter the lounge at 4am - by the time we entered the lounge it was 5:15 and we were due to fly at 6:15am. Our flight was called at 5:30am and they had already started boarding by the time we rushed to the gate!

This is still not an acceptable compensation after the stress this caused when it was supposed to be relaxing and we did not get the enjoyment of the lounge that we should have had. The staff and complaints team have completely failed us.

Number 1 lounge Birmingham Airport- go to weatherspoons instead !

I Booked again hoping my experience on this occasion would be much improved on the last! Sadly it was worse , check in was done by someone who obviously did not want to be there as his entire look was completely miserable. I found a table eventually as it was very busy and looked as it had been over booked. ( i thought the point of a lounge was to relax and take the stress Away? )
Please forgive the description i am about to use however i believe it is warranted and Extremely apt.

The food, pasta and some kind of sausage casserole was absolutely disgusting and barely warm! There were other cold options however they all looked completely unappetising.

I will end on a positive and it is a very small positive considering the cost of this very poor below average experience, the 2 ladies serving drinks behind the bar were welcoming and always cheerful so great customer service from them - thank you.

As for the rest , suggest that you get what little act you have here together and make significant improvements as this customer feels completely ripped off !! I expect a partial refund based on the made up synopsis written by yourselves. I await your response.

If you have money to burn, then go but otherwise save it.

It’s quiet and depending on when you go you may well get a seat unless your a group of 4 or more.

Is it worth the cost? No

Is the food good? considering what you pay to enter it’s beyond basic, slim pickings and actually very poor.

Seats and tables: They lack cleaning and are tacky to touch and the material of several seats is badly stained. The floor area is nice and clean.

Food desperately needs to improve, it’s shocking.

Mice and misinformation

Review of Heathrow T5

We booked based off website saying additional menu available (at small cost) and that we could order things like a bottle of Prosecco at a cost of £13 and also having used Aspire in other airports

However upon arrival we were told the additional food menu was no longer available (why is it still on the website?!) and that the bottle of Prosecco advertised at £13 is actually £24

The normal food selection is very poor compared to Gatwick and other terminals at Heathrow and the decor is dated (written as I sit on a ripped seat)

Then to add to the poor experience there are mice running round (I have video footage)

Absolutely the worst lounge experience we have had in over 15 years

Avoid as cancel your booking

After taking out a lounge booking on 28 th Aug for 9th of December I received an email today (6th Oct)saying I had cancelled it, which was not the case. I contacted them and they said that Aspire had cancelled it . I therefore shouldn't have received an email saying I had cancelled.
They had known that the booking couldn't go ahead because my cashback had been declined on 12th Sept. They had delayed informing me and now it is too late to book as it is sold out.
They have had my money since August and am still expected to wait for its return.
I would not trust these ever and I will not book with them because they might cancel.

I found my experience at Lounge No.1 in…

I found my experience at Lounge No.1 in Terminal 3 at Heathrow quite disappointing. The food and drinks selection was very limited, with only a few peanuts and some basic biscuits on offer. For a lounge experience, I expected a wider and higher-quality choice that would justify the visit. In addition, the WiFi connection was extremely poor, which made it difficult to work or even browse comfortably. The service also fell short, as the staff did not seem well trained and did not provide the level of attention one would expect. Overall, the lounge did not meet the standard I had hoped for.

Customer service review

Hi,
This is a review about the No1 customer service. I have visited the BHX lounges many a times. However, booking this time I used my Revolut bank and ran into some difficulties. Contacting customer service, a girl called Maise got back to me pretty well straight away. She was amazing and completely helped me out. She made everything easy and I definitely will give credit where credit is due. Thanks again Maise. x

worse than a works canteen food

Having booked my lounge via TUI, food in lounge bellow recommended temperature and food uncovered, seating resembling a works canteen, informed both assistant manager and the manager, we were moved to another 1 lounge. Manager stating that the food would be better and hot, how wrong he was, Same problem, cold and uncovered food. My wife had one coffee, we left, most expensive coffee ever £72. On the way out manager approach and asked how was the food, informed him it was cold, under required temperature, he apologized. I then asked, would you eat the food in my lounge or 1 lounge, No was his reply, I use the lounge bellow, the assistant had also told me she would not eat the food ither, GOOD advert.
I contacted Holiday extras, they emailed Gatwick Lounges who investigated my complaint, surprise, surprise, manager remembered my complaint, stated that he had tested the temperature, and was within the required temperature, amazing, at no time did I or my wife witness this being carried out, he was in our full view all the time. There was no mention of the uncoved food, or why both managers would not eat the food!!!! Holiday extras then informed me they could go no further with the claim, they are booking agents, booked via TUI at no time was I informed my booking was with a booking agent. Complete waste of money. Take your money, don't bother to ring and discus the problem, take Gatwick lounges word, wonder how many complaint get a refund, completely miss one major point, staff would not eat the food or why the food is not covered. In 1 lounge they did report high turn over of food, that's a cop out, hygiene should be number one priority, covering food is a must.

AVOID!

If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid at all costs - booked Heathrow on the way out to Boston. All the cooked breakfast was gone (waited over 20 minutes to be replenished and that was after asking twice), only side plates so tiny portions, no coffee cups, dirty pots scattered all over the tables, no sauces, the most surly staff I’ve ever encountered, pathetic selection of fruit and pastries, only choice of juice was orange … I could go on …..
Emailed to get a refund - obviously got a no reply email response and directed to screen site which when clicked on doesn’t exist - @no1 - feel free to contact me to discuss but I know I’ll never hear from you.
I’ve stayed at many Airport Lounges over the years and it always enhanced my travel - sadly this lounge was way off the mark.

UPDATE after response from complaints department - their “service failures” manage to dodge any form of refund unless a customer didn’t receive any form of food, beverages or seating during the 3 hour window. It’s not the money, it’s the principle. Joke!
