I stayed at Nobu Los Cabos from April…

I stayed at Nobu Los Cabos from April 4th to April 6th. During my stay, I brought a jewelry box containing several valuable pieces, which I placed in the wardrobe cabinets along with my other belongings.
On the evening of April 4th, I went out wearing some of the jewelry. This was the last time I used any of the items and the last time I recall seeing the jewelry box.
After returning home, I unpacked my luggage on April 10th and realized that the jewelry box was missing. As nothing had been unpacked prior to that, I immediately contacted the hotel. I was informed it could take up to two business days to receive a response. I made it clear that the missing item contained valuable jewelry; however, there did not appear to be any urgency in addressing the matter.
I followed up on Sunday and was told that the two-business-day timeframe had not yet passed. When I called again on Tuesday, having received no update, I was informed that nothing had been found in the lost and found and that no further action could be taken.
I also reached out to the butler assigned to me during my stay and provided photos of the missing jewelry box. Unfortunately, I received the same response, that no further assistance could be offered. When I requested that the room be rechecked, I was told that staff thoroughly clean rooms after each guest, implying the item could not be there, without any effort to verify. I also asked for CCTV footage to be reviewed, as the last confirmed sighting of the box was on the evening of April 4th. I have not received any response to that request til date.
I am extremely disappointed that, at a property of this reputation, an item of such value could go missing, and that the situation has been handled with such a lack of urgency, diligence, and empathy. This has been a deeply frustrating and upsetting experience.

Nobu hotel Atlanta

Nobu hotel Atlanta
For a 5 star hotel this location really fell short. It started with the outrageous incidental charges per day which really should have been discussed before running my card. I’ve travel often and have never experienced this kind of service. I booked a staycation for my birthday after having a very stressful last few months. After checking in and making my way to my room on the 7th floor executive King room I was denied access to my floor. It appeared the elevator keycard for that floor was inoperable. I addressed this issue immediately and was told there was nothing that could be done and that I had to go to the front desk to be let onto my floor or any other part of the hotel. I can’t even explain how frustrating and inconvenient this was. So now I’ve decided to grab a cocktail and just stay in the room for the evening as to not get even more frustrated. I turn on the TV only to find out it was also inoperable. I called down to the front desk and was told maintenance would be up to fix the TV and I also requested some tea since the room had a lovely tea set and at this point i just wanted to relax. 30 mins went by so I finally called down again to see if they had forgotten about my request and was told since it was now 9:30 that there was no more tea in house and no maintenance available. So needless to say my evening of relaxing was a wash. I was offered a complimentary upgrade for my troubles so I packed my belongings back up at 10 pm and went down to pick up the key for my new. Room because there was no one available to bring the key to me. I immediately notice the new room was 2 floors below my original room so I’m thinking this was more of a down grade than and upgrade. Once I got to the room I noticed this new room had a few more square feet but it definitely didn’t feel like an upgrade. I of course voiced my concerns with front seat during check out and was told she can give me a $15 credit. Now by this time I was just tired. Tired of being treated as if I just walked into a motel 6. This is a beautiful hotel and I absolutely love the concept of spa resort yet nothing during my stay made me feel pampered or spa like. To top things off the $15 credit I was offered (which was a joke in itself) after all I had to deal with did not show up as a credit on my final bill. I wanted to share this so if you’re interested in 5 star luxury for a special occasion go elsewhere or you’ll ruin your special day.
