I am posting this formal review to warn fellow travelers and ensure the safety of the tourist community. My experience with this agency involved unethical business practices and significant financial exploitation:
Deceptive Location: Contrary to their advertisement, this agency is not located at the airport. This misrepresentation creates a high-pressure situation for travelers who arrive expecting immediate transportation, only to find themselves stranded at an off-site location.
Coercive Pricing Tactics: Upon arrival, staff claimed my credit card could not be processed. This appeared to be a deliberate tactic to force an immediate $200 surcharge. Because I was in a vulnerable position and required a vehicle, I was left with no choice but to comply with this unauthorized fee.
Exorbitant Damage Claims: Following the rental, I was charged 400 Euros (approximately $435 USD) for a minor surface scratch on the door. To provide context, the standard market rate for such a cosmetic repair in Morocco is approximately $60.
Conclusion: This agency appears to utilize "bait-and-switch" tactics and predatory billing to extract inflated fees from tourists. Their business model relies on exploiting travelers who have limited options in a foreign country.
Recommendation: For your financial safety and peace of mind, I strongly advise booking with a transparent, internationally recognized rental provider instead. Do not risk your travel budget with this establishment

I rented a car in Istanbul, Turkey. When returning the vehicle, the staff confirmed everything was fine.
However, 6 hours later my credit card was charged.
When I contacted them, they could not verify whether the damage was from my rental vehicle, and after March 1st they became unreachable.
No evidence or photos were provided.
Please be cautious when renting from this company in Istanbul.

Avoid! Booked a car in Marrakesh but was asked to pay an extra 100 euros at the desk for out of hours pick up and drop off. This charge was not disclosed in advance. I declined and did not rent the car. Very disappointing lack of transparency.

I rented a car from Noktauto on 9…
I rented a car from Noktauto on 9 November through CarJet.
I paid FULL INSURANCE at the rental office, returned the car with no damage, and paid all additional charges at return (highway service charge and tolls). Despite this, Noktauto took a deposit of €411.28 from my card (not just blocked).
When I contacted Noktauto, they told me the refund would take 45–60 days.
This period has already passed, and no refund has been made.
CarJet later confirmed in writing that the deposit would be refunded by 19 January.
Today is 20 January, and I have still received nothing.
What makes this worse:
The deposit was taken, not blocked
There were no damages, no fines, no issues
Noktauto stopped responding completely
Keeping a customer’s money for over two months with no explanation is not normal and not professional.
I strongly do not recommend Noktauto, and I am extremely disappointed that this happened through a booking platform like CarJet.
Stay away
They charged me a 500 euro deposit and I returned the car in perfect condition. Now they're telling me it takes 40-70 working days to get my deposit back. It's a total fraud

I want to share my experience with Nokta Car Rental to help future customers make an informed decision.
Firstly, despite advertising as an airport car rental company, they are not actually located at the airport. Instead, they drop off and pick up the car at a meeting point, which caused serious inconvenience. When I arrived at the arranged location for vehicle return, the staff member was not there, and I was left waiting — almost missing my flight as a result.
At the time of pickup, the staff member who helped with the contract strongly persuaded me to purchase full insurance, even though it was extremely expensive. I eventually agreed, hoping for a smooth and worry-free experience.
Unfortunately, that was not the case.
The car itself had a serious safety issue — it would roll backwards on hills when switching from brake to gas. In a city like Istanbul, which has many steep roads and hills, this was incredibly dangerous and unacceptable. It made driving especially stressful, especially since my mother was unwell and I needed a reliable vehicle to get around.
Despite driving minimally and having full insurance, the company still made complaints during the return process. They sent me several photos of supposed damages that were no different from the video I had taken at the start of the rental. In the end, they pointed out a flat tire, which felt like an excuse to find fault.
They also took a €350 deposit, which I’m still waiting to see how they will handle. I will update my experience once I have more clarity on that.
In summary, I would not recommend this company, especially to those who value professionalism, peace of mind, and respectful communication. Their lack of punctuality, aggressive upselling, poor vehicle maintenance, and questionable return process were all deeply disappointing.
I hope this feedback helps improve their service and prevents other customers from facing the same difficulties.

I rented a car from Nokta Rent a Car in Turkey and had a very bad experience.
They asked for a large deposit when I picked up the car — much higher than what was shown online.
When I returned the car in perfect condition, they promised to refund the deposit within a few days, but weeks have passed and no refund was made.
I contacted them many times through phone and email, but they either ignored my messages or kept saying “the refund is processing.”
It seems that many other people are having the same problem — they hold people’s money and don’t return it.
Be very careful before renting from them.
Take pictures of the car, read the contract, and never pay in cash.
There are many better and more honest companies in Turkey that don’t do this to their customers.
I hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake.
Absolutely unprofessional experience…
Absolutely unprofessional experience with this rental company. I had a confirmed reservation, and on the very same day of pick-up, they canceled it without offering any proper solution. This left me stranded and forced to book another car last minute at a much higher price.
This is not acceptable. I made a valid booking, and it was their responsibility to provide me with a vehicle at the agreed price. Any serious rental company would have arranged an alternative car, even through a partner, instead of leaving the customer with no options.
If I could, I would give them zero stars. They don’t deserve even one. Strongly advise others to stay away from this company.
3 months and deposit of 20,000TL still…
3 months and deposit of 22,000TL still not returned.
14th October update
After more than 3 months, they returned the deposit and deducted 2,000 TL, they said this is service fee of 20 euros for gates.
10 years renting in Turkey, no one charged me a service fee.
Bandits disguised as rental business
This is not a rental company, this is an orchistrated gang of scam artists. I was involved in minor accident in which there were no my fault. In this situation the company was not communicative (they did not pick up the phone), so i was not able to get any papers from police, because they just left the scene.
Those bandits demanded €3000 (!) for 2 scratched doors ($300 max damage). After, they dropped the sum to €1150, i left them my deposit 24K TL, gave them $200 extra cash just to leave me alone. I booked this travesty via EconomyBookings. They don’t have an actual office in Istanbul, i had to drive for 1.5 hour to speak to some shady freelancer.
Never ever consider Nokta. This is pure scam. They earn money by extortion, not by giving out cars.

We dealt directly with Mr. Emin Bozan and Mrs. Yelda, who repeatedly promised the refund would be processed. They gave excuse after excuse, also she completely stopped responding. This isn’t bad service — it’s fraud.
This company is dishonest, unethical, and not to be trusted. They are holding our money hostage, and we’re now pursuing legal action. Save yourself the stress, the frustration, and the financial loss.
DO NOT RENT FROM NOKTA. You may never see your deposit again.

I rent a car from this very badcompany when I receive the car they take all the cost of rent and they take from me also $1200 as a refundable insurance until now they didn’t return me the money .
Worst company ever AVOID
This rental car company held my deposit for over two months, longer than the 25 working days stated in my original contract. When I inquired, they claimed it was 45 working days and then sent an "updated" contract. They also tried to charge me for over mileage despite my "limitless" mileage agreement through VIPcars, bringing it up multiple times. VIPcars offered little help, stating they are just a broker. I found their practices unethical and their customer service poor.
