Free Landline blocking services that now they expect you to pay for
Used this company website free service for robo calls on my landline until probably a week ago. Kept wondering why I didn’t get the usual one ring which meant their website had caught the call. Was not until last week that I went back to their website and found out that stop it in January 2026 and now was basically charging for it but they offered a 50% discount code which didn’t work. There was no mention this on the opening page of their website and when you tried entering a phone number to be blocked and it still said the number would be reviewed by their staff. Emailed there customer support and was told they sent out an email regarding the change and it probably went to my spam folder but I never received it and questioned both the email, discount code and why the website was not updated never got a legitimate response. Really disappointed with this service. Probably thought why give a free service when you can make people pay for it.
DON’T PAY YEARLY!! YOU CAN’T STOP IT!!
I signed up through the Cox cable app. We were getting 15-20 spam calls a day on landline & 2 cells. They asked for all the phone numbers we wanted to block calls from. I listed all 3. I mistakenly paid for a years service (I did not see a subscription option.) Now all calls are being sent to a voice mail for my husbands phone. I tried to call our landline from my cell and it sends me to voice mail for husbands phone. It did not ring him, would only send to vm. My phone should have been recognized. This is just one issue. Another issue is trying to reach them. Impossible. I want to stop this service. His 98 year old mother can’t even ring our phone. She’s obviously not a scam caller. I can’t find a way to stop it. I only see directions to unsubscribe (and that wasn’t easy.) DON’T GET STUCK WITH THIS! I can’t stop this service!!
Bogus
I had to keep refreshing the app all the time AND getting them was the last time I used my credit card and shortly after my credit card was stolen and I had lots of bogus purchases ! When I called them I got a company who sells phone numbers and we all know that is where all the foreign scammers get their bogus numbers from so I believe this co actually does to you what they Say they are protesting you from!!!!
Installed nomorobo
Installed nomorobo. It has NOT WORKED, I tried to cancel, but the payment lasts till mid summer next year AND IT KEEPS GOING! It blocks calls from my contact list so much I lost several. Blocked calls do not stay blocked, there is a convoluted customer service non-access. The preschool programmers need to be fired.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

they gave me a free trial two weeks it didnt stop any calls. had until the 16th to cancel so i cancelled on the 11th early. then i contacted them said it was cancelled on the 16th but turned around and committed fraud and tried to charge my bank 129.99 didnt let them get away with it chase fraud took care of it
Said it was free and then tried to charge $60…

BEWARE… Nomorobo Max Takes your phone hostage!
BEWARE! I switched to Nomorobo max, and paid substantially more for it than Nomorobo basic. Max totally screwed up everything on my phone. Everything blocked and sent to voicemail. Now I can’t get in touch with them and demand a refund.
Works, some what.
Finally got tired of blocking calls. Installed Max - provider not supported. Removed Max, downloaded Basic ($19.99/yr). Received 7 robocalls the next day, 4 were blocked. Basic does not allow you to ADD callers (that NOMOROBO identifies as ROBOCALLS Online). So I am back to blocking callers. Not paying for an app that 'mostly' works.
I don’t get all the negative reviews
I don’t get all the negative reviews. It sounds like a lot of the issues are from not setting the app up correctly for your phone.
I tested out the MAX 7 day free trial, it worked flawlessly.
I went to cancel because I thought it was too expensive for the service provided, and they offered 25% off on a yearly subscription.
I snapped that up immediately. If you setup your phone properly, you will have no issues. I am on Mint Mobile.
Also used it on Spectrum. Again two different settings.
50% Price Increase for mundane service
I received an email notification today that the monthly cost of the Nomorobo service will be increasing from $1.99 a month to $2.99 a month. A 50% price increase? Seriously? For what?? Certainly, a dollar a month isn't going to kill me, but the gaul of them to make this increase for a service that is mundane at best is ludicrous. I cancelled the service today, effective the end of this month.

Nomorobo is not worth the headaches you have to deal with. I have been trying for several months to cancel my subscription with them. Each time I get the run around and I'm told I have to go Google to cancel. I cannot find who I need to contact to cancel my subscription. They are still taking money from my account each month even though I have told them in writing to cancel my subscription. I was hesitant to even give them one star. Their customer service is terrible, too.
worked great for a year but…
this app worked great for a year but recently (last 3 months) I'm getting spam, esp from some company that deals with automobile accident claims (ambulance chasers I assume) I have emailed the support team after reading this web page. we will see if they respond.
Nomorobo still allows the robo-calls to go through
While I've used this service for a couple of years, it did initially did a decent job at removing and blocking all of the unnecessary and spam calls that I didn't wish to continue to see appear on my phone. Now...it's almost allowing a good majority of the calls to go through and this is the basic service subscription that I signed up for and again, only worked for a while. I'm more than likely going to be asked to subscribe to their "max tier" subscription but I'm not. I'm going to be looking for alternative means. You're best bet right now would be to ask for a refund and look elsewhere.
Delete this Nomorobo MAX!
I was a Nomorobo subscriber for many years. This anti-spam app has now become my worst nightmare. It took over my calls. I wanted the old basic app but they kept pushing MAX. I just deleted the app but it still controls all incoming calls. This is terrible!

DO NOT USE! I signed up for the free trial but cancelled it after a few days because my robo calls INCREASED significantly right after signing up.

They only care about money
They only care about money, nothing else. If you have a normal question, they will ignore it and ask about which services you use or which services of nomorobo you want to set up, if the question is not about money, they ignore you instantly. And yes I am from the U.S., it says BE/Belgium for my profile because I use VPN.

NoMoRobo is a joke.
NoMoRobo is a joke.
It used to be completely functional in connection with Frontiers Communications Digital Phone service. Not anymore. Frontiers' doesn't allow for NoMoRobo to Simultaneous Ring with any numbers anymore, especially with NoMoRobo's assigned number to prevent spam calls.
In addition, their Dashboard reporting system is totally worthless. I have entered the same 3 numbers that are spam and robocalling numbers over a 2-3 month period. They do not process the requests at all...and still allow the numbers to go through.
I would recommend either NoMoRobo to shut down and close up shop or actually manage their sites and systems accordingly to provide the service they initially sought to do.
It started going downhill about 2-3 years ago and has been declining ever since.
Plus, It doesn't matter if you attempt to contact their customer service/or troubleshooting team - they never reply back.
Don't Waste Your Time with NoMoRobo !!!!!

Nomorobo worked OK and did block some…
Nomorobo worked OK and did block some spam calls. But often it didn't and I added those numbers to the blocked list. However I noticed a couple of weeks ago that my phone did not ring or show any indication of an incoming call, but the call did get sent to voicemail. I also noticed the Nomorobo icon changed. I bought a new phone and will keep two numbers for a short time. Today I uninstalled Nomorobo on my old phone and now it will ring. I don't know why but I suspect Nomorobo put an update out and I was not aware of that. So now I have two working phones. I will also uninstall it on my new phone, I don't need more problems.
