We paid Noodle Pros top dollar for ACT test services in New York City. The result was extremely disappointing.

The only reason I am not going public with this review is I don't want to draw attention to my child and because attaching my name would violate my employer's policies.

We paid for in-person tutoring at Noodle Pros but at the last minute the tutor switched to online only. The tutor taught each of the lessons from her bed and often had a short fuse with our child, though in the consultation (with parents) she was presentable and businesslike. The actual workload was all up to the child and the tutor was more like a homework checker than a guide. She acted as if she had better things to do and in fact had more than one other child booked at the time of supposedly private tutor sessions.
Noodle Pros cited discounts to their posted prices, which sounded at the time like something everyone is told, but we still spent (read: wasted) thousands of dollars.

The Noodle Pros strategy was pitched as a way to game the ACT, basically by eliminating wrong answers to narrow down to the correct one, which isn't really a great insight at hundreds of dollars per hour. The whole idea of gaming a test because you are perceived to be able to afford to do so is pretty ugly if you think about it, but that's the mentality and business model at work here.

It also didn't work. Our child spent many hours on the Noodle Pros strategy and the test score didn't budge one point over the course of test-taking.

In hindsight, we should have seen we were being played. College prep is stressful and Noodle Pros preys on this vulnerability. The situation was much the same as if we were at a funeral home after the death of a loved one and the director talked the grieving family into a gold plating the coffin.

With no tests, our child was admitted to their top pick for college. Noodle Pros is a sham and waste of money. Hold a stiff backbone and study on your own.

Good luck during this stressful period.

It should be noted that Noodle Pros is now known as Inspirica Pros, through a merger with Inspirica.

Everything has been going pretty well…

Everything has been going pretty well so far. My tutor has been very helpful, he is intelligent and knows how to work with others who don't understand a topic he might. Overall, I'm doing little by little better on the GMAT. I think the only piece of feedback I have would be for my tutor to slow down a bit. Walkthrough the problems slowly for me to better understand it.

Thank you

We love Noodlepros and my son’s tutor, Bill Rubin. He is exceptional and has been an incredibly, important part of our college prep- standardized test growth process. They are very organized and professional. In the past 17 months since we have been working with them , our child had grown so much as a student, test taker, and young man. Our family has received great guidance from Noodlepros and Bill. We would recommend him
In one second and sincerely appreciate everything he has done for us so far!!

I trust the Noodle Pros tutor that I…

I trust the Noodle Pros tutor that I hire to work with my children (Brendan Mernin). He has worked with 2 of my 3 kids to date. They like him. He has helped them through the testing process for the past 4 years. He is able to get my boys to complete tasks that I would not otherwise be able to! I recommend Noodle Pros to my friends.

We are beyond pleased with our tutor and the Noodle Pros

We are beyond pleased with our tutor, Dan. The results for our son have been priceless. He was struggling with the tests and even went to a class that showed no significant results. Since Dan, he has gained confidence and has increased his score by almost 300 points. The best investment we could make.

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE BILL RUBIN. HE HAS BEEN AN INCREDIBLE TUTOR AND MENTOR TO OUR SON, RYAN. HE IS PATIENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND SO PERSONABLE. MY SON TRUSTS HIM WITH HIS LIFE (WHICH IS HALF THE BATTLE). HE ENCOURAGES OUR CHILD TO DO WELL AND SEES THE PROMISE IN HIM AS WE DO AS PARENTS. HE HAS DONE AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB HELPING OUR SON . WE TRY TO CONTINUE TO SEND REFERRALS HIS/YOUR WAY AS WE MOST CERTAINLY SEE THE VALUE HE CAN ADD TO A STUDENT AND THEIR PARENT'S STANDARDIZED TEST CAREER AND LIVES. GREAT JOB!!!

Erik Kolb is fantastic!

Erik is knowledgable, helpful, fun to work with, and quick to respond to texts or e-mails. He did a fantastic job of tutoring my daughter, resulting in improving her ACT scores. He was honest about her progress and encouraged her to test earlier than originally planned, instead of doing (charging us for) more tutoring sessions. Highly recommend!
