Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 103 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported being charged for subscriptions they did not authorize, often after an initial low-cost payment for a test or report. These unauthorized charges, typically around £39.95 or $39.95, appeared on their bank or PayPal accounts, leading many to believe they were victims of deceptive practices. Reviewers frequently mentioned that the subscription terms were not clearly disclosed during the initial purchase, if at all, making the subsequent charges a surprise. Customers also found it difficult to cancel these subscriptions or obtain refunds, with some noting that the company's website was inaccessible or provided no clear way to manage their accounts. However, some people mentioned that after contacting support or disputing charges through PayPal or their banks, they were able to receive refunds for the unauthorized payments.

Misleading subscription trap – charged without clear consent

⭐ 1/5

This is a classic misleading subscription setup.

I paid $1.95 for what was presented as a one-time purchase for access to test materials. At no point was it made clear or prominent that this was actually an entry into a recurring subscription.

Shortly after, I was charged $49.95 CAD without clear, informed consent. The subscription terms are buried in checkout fine print and a confirmation email—this is not transparent or fair disclosure at the point of purchase.

When challenged, the company initially claimed everything was clearly disclosed, which simply does not reflect the user experience. Only after escalation and dispute pressure was a refund issued.

This feels designed to rely on users missing hidden subscription terms during checkout rather than genuinely informing them.

I would strongly caution anyone using this service to avoid it unless you are actively monitoring for recurring charges or fully expecting a subscription trap-style model.

Deceptive trial-to-subscription…

Deceptive trial-to-subscription practice

Signed up for what appeared to be a €1.95 trial. The automatic conversion to a €39.95/4-week subscription was disclosed only in small print at the bottom of the confirmation email — not in a way a reasonable person would notice.

The trial pricing exists specifically to get you invested in the service before the real charges kick in. When I contacted support, they declined a full refund and offered only 40% back as their "maximum policy" — take it or leave it.

The service is technically legal, but the business model is deliberately designed to make cancellation easy to miss. If you're considering buying something from here... just dont...

SCAM

SCAM! Ive never heard of them until i saw a $39.95 charged on my Paypal account. I have NO idea how they were able to connect my Paypal account for this. They definitely know how to get around. They also initially charged me $1.95 as a "test." I didnt catch this at first. Paypal initially took their side because the transaction was a subscription based. So make sure to call Paypal directly to resolve.

I emailed this nordiclab for a refund and proof of this so called order/subscriptio. Their "policy" is "As the subscription was not cancelled before the end of the trial period, it renewed in accordance with the agreed terms, and the charge was applied. That said, I see your subscription was already cancelled and no further charges will be taken. While we are unable to issue a full refund in this case, we would like to offer a 40% refund, which is the maximum allowed under our policy."

Do not settle for this 40% refund. Dispute this fraudulent charge through your bank or Paypal to get the full refund. Get as much proof as you can.

Nordicalab Hidden Subscription Scammers

Nordicalab is the company in charge of testlibrary.com which uses a deceptive subscription scam. The charge on my credit card is listed as "groceries" even though I was actually tricked into an online subscription for personality tests. This company uses tactics to trick people and they also use tactics to make their ratings look higher than they actually are. Do not support Nordicalab or the other shady websites it runs.

I ordered 5 tubes of Dermafix and paid over £100.00

I ordered 5 tubes of Dermafix and paid £104.80 using PayPal. This was done in two payment of£39.95 and £64.85. My bank statement shows these amounts were paid to Nordicalab. As nothing was delivered and I got no confirmation, I contacted them by email and the reply I got was that they could not find my order and would I supply the last 3 digits of my debit card. As I paid through PayPal I did not provide this. They are not replying to my emails and think I have been scammed. Also there is mention of continued regular payments on my PayPal account. The tubes of ointment turned up and for that I am relieved.

A nightmare

A nightmare

A nightmare: According to the Dutch registers everything is fake. 1 person only 4 companies and subcontractors without e-mail or phone. Emails in copied pasted to vomit because I come to tell myself that it is better to recover the €10 offered by the company by keeping the product rather than respending €14.50 of chronopost (with infallible proof of deposit) of return costs since no one has been reimbursed according to the opinions of all the sites: To cry. I will go to the end I know that Julien Courbet of M6 has been contacted given the number of complaints about these scammers
