North Dayton School of Discovery Reviews 

This school has the worst communication ever!!! Last year on several occasions I had to actually drive all the way there just to speak to someone they NEVER answer the phones there the office might as well be nonexistent because they do not answer phone calls. I’ve been trying for two weeks now to get in contact with someone to withdrawal my child and I’ve left voicemails, emails did online chat and same thing no answer!!
Not to mention they lost my child last year and told me 3 different stories where he was

We've been with North Dayton School of Discovery for about 11 yrs with 6 of our kids. Our youngest child is graduating this year from there. The teachers & staff are amazing & have done a great job. We've built a relationship with most of the staff there in all grades & I would definitely refer future students to North Dayton.

Good school, great staff friendly environment especially the office staff...

Horrible school, my daughter is a type 1 diabetic insulin dependent, she was given juice by office staff for high blood sugars, she was constantly yelled at by teachers and staff due to their lack of knowledge or concern for her needs. The school was not educated as they were supposed to have taken a class and test on how to care for my daughter while at school. Academically, there is no concern, or communication among staff, the principal and other staff members, including teachers were more concerned about the matching of school uniform colors coats, and jackets to be specific, than they are about teaching, learning, safety of their students. Professionalism does not exist there. No one has been trained to answer the phones, introduce themselves, not even announce to what number you have dialed. Example.. thank you for calling North Dayton school of Discovery, Ms. Smith speaking, how can I help? Instead they answer calls as if it’s their personal line “hello” the principal, vice principal or (Dean of students) all are clueless they lie to cover themselves. I strongly advise taking notes when speaking with anyone, ask for names, record dates, and times if you decide to send your student, you WILL need them. Keep records of any and all info sent in, and or received.

School does not provide programs that boost self-esteem. Primary teachers lack the nurturing for the primary students. Minority students are being labelled as special education because their learning style has not been addressed.

I truly love North Dayton School Of Discovery. The staff is fantastic, their morals are very high, and their curriculum is superb. I just wish they would communicate better. I feel like I find out about things very last minute. Other times I find out information secondhand instead of from the school. Other then that I would highly recommend it.

Teachers don't make the learning environment bully free.

I have had four of my children attend North Dayton School of Discovery. My two youngest still attend. This schools curriculum is the best of all the schools my children have attended. I have no complaints about this school. I love it.

There are some areas that need improvement. Such as children with ADHD. There are teachers nit equipped to deal with such children.
