Scam Warning – My Experience with Northern Advisory
I was contacted by a man calling himself Michael Ross, who claimed he could recover cryptocurrency I had previously lost. An account was created in my name before I even requested one, and I was invited to a Zoom meeting.
During the meeting, I was asked to log into my online banking account to "verify" that I was the account owner. I refused and requested another verification method. Instead of providing one, the representative became aggressive and pressured me to comply.
I ended the meeting immediately. Based on my experience, the pressure to access my online banking, the aggressive behavior after I refused, and the lack of independently verifiable information about the company are major red flags.
I strongly advise everyone to stay away until this company can clearly prove its legitimacy. Never share your banking information or access to your financial accounts with anyone under these circumstances.
