DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
The driver was incompetent and wouldn't follow instructions on where to drive and unload my new car. He made me drive the car off of the lorry, because he said he had to control the lorry and was unable to do both. I knew this was not the case, due to working in the car industry, but felt pressured to do so. After following the drivers instructions, he ended damaging the car during the unloading process. He denied he had damaged the car, even though I had photographic evidence. He quickly drove off with no apology. After making a complaint, the driver said 'I insisted on driving the car off the lorry myself', which I obviously didn't! He knew what he was doing and was playing the game and turned all the blame onto me, resulting in me having to pay extra to repair the vehicle and not gaining any apology or compensation.

Wrong address and aggressive behaviour!

I had this company turn up at my address with a vehicle that had been in an accident and he began to offload it on our drive ....not our vehicle. We weren't in at the time. My neighbour was trying to be helpful by explaining that there is another road of the same name in a different postcode 6 miles away and that the vehicle he was trying to deliver wasn't at this address. The driver got aggressive with my neighbour , to the extent they got scared. He was also aggressive to my neighbours wife too. They then called me distressed that I should come home as otherwise I will have a Vehicle that doesn't belong to me on my drive. They explained how aggressive the man was being too.
We headed home, the driver eventually left- presumably to the right postcode. Let's hope the driver got their vehicle. Unprofessional service and inappropriate behaviour!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. "Mechanic" they sent out didn't have a clue. He pretended to jump start the car but I learned when I got another company out he wasn't anywhere near the battery. (The second company I got restarted the car in seconds because they knew what they were doing). Discovered after he had damaged the front hood. Charged me £180 claiming if I left it plugged in it would work in an hour. When I called up to complain, company just kept hanging up on me.

Deceitful, Extortionate and Rip-Off

North London Recovery, registered under Grips Tyres Ltd, using unfair, extortionate and deceitful practice with their customers.
My car battery discharged and I contacted this company today finding them on google search at around 11:00. They demanded £50.00 deposit, which I provided over the phone, and they told me that they will be in my place in 30 minutes. When I asked them twice about what the final amount will be, they avoided the question, saying that they will charge me in the end of the job. I asked them again why they unable to provide the final price when all other company can, they said, they will charge me in the end of the job, because they don't know how long the job takes or how complicated it would be. Despite me saying, that I simply need taking my car from the postcode E14 9DZ to N18 1SW to the Mechanic Garage to fix battery or replace it.
Anyway, their technician came and started my car with his charger in 15 minutes, and showed me the mobile phone where they are going to charge me £250.00. I contacted their head office, asking why they are charging me £250.00 for 15 minutes job, while any other company I used before charged around £100.00- £120.00. They said it is a normal price these days and after a short explanation that they didn't even took my car to the garage, they reduced the price to £195.00. It is still extortionate price, however, I paid the technician £200.00 and asked for £5.00 change. The technician said that he didn't have any change at all, and that the company will adjust my invoice for £200.00 instead of £195.00.
As of now, 11-04-2023, 20:17, I received an invoice from the company for only £195.00. Despite sending 2 emails within last 3 hours, they haven't responded.
This is the truly Extortionate, Deceitful and Unfair Business Practice, I believe. I reported that business to Trustpilot, Yell, Trading Standards, Gov.uk, citizen advice, FSA and Ombudsman. And I am urging everyone who came with such Rip-Off business companies, to report them and take action against them. Injustice must be eradicated with such greedy and deceitful companies like this one. Please do not believe that £250.00 is the normal price to bring a car to the garage. 9 out of 10 companies charge £100.00- £120.00, which is sensible, I believe.
If someone from Trustpilot administration or anyone else want to get the documentary confirmation of everything I explained here, I am gladly to provide everything from Bank Statement, Cash Deduction Receipt to Phone Voice Recording with this company.
Kind Regards

Hi Leo, I have transcribed the call recordings from your telephone number ending 0560 at 12:13 on the 11th April 2023, along with the subsequent calls at 12:55 and 13:13.

The first call you asked for your Ford to be recovered from E14 to N18. We requested a 50 deposit to dispatch a recovery truck. You didn't request a quote at any time during the conversation.

When the recovery truck arrived, he was able to fix your car at the roadside without you needing to be towed to the garage. The problem was a completely flat battery.

If you had informed the operator that the car wouldn't start we would have sent out an appropriate vehicle.

You were charged our standard call out rate for a recovery truck at that time of day.

You mentioned the website says 60 pounds. We explained that , yes some call out rates are 60 pounds, and hence why the website says "from" 60 pounds.

we are sorry you felt there was miscommunication. But you asked for a recovery, not a jump start, and so the appropriate Recovery Vehicle was dispatched. Also note that the charge included VAT.
