The agent we worked with was very kind and helpful. Our purchase took much longer than needed and many factors were culprits however, one of the main ones was that the previous owner didn’t have the correct Land Registry papers ready. We feel the agency should be checking if sellers are ready to sell before advertising properties and especially before advertising as quick buys. We were keen and ready to complete quickly and were told the seller was too but what weren’t told was that he wasn’t ready. Had we known, perhaps we wouldn’t have continued with this flat as ultimately, we have lost a lot of money…

Peter our adviser understood my brief well and matched the buyer in short time and achieved closed to our asking price .
He managed the transaction professionally and despite difficulties with govt bodies due to C19 the sale was achieved.

Been living for nearly 1 year at a place rented via Northside Estates.

It's been nothing but issues:
- the intercom has been broken since we moved in and has never been fixed
- they lied about the property having been professionally cleaned when we moved in, and they are expecting us to clean it to a professional standard when we move out
- we don't have ready access to electricity and gas meter readings (which are in a different flat for some reason)

On the last point, when I enquired about it in relation to not having been able to submit a reading before the price increase, they replied:

> Unfortunately, we can’t control the price increases in the country and can’t pay the bills for you.

I can't believe how rude that is. We never asked them to pay the bills for us, just to let us take meter readings.

Judge for yourselves what kind of a company this is.

I moved in a flat with my partner one week ago. When I collected the keys from the property, the agent claimed that the flat had been professionally cleaned, and then proceeded to walk around it with his shoes on!
In fact, the place was not cleaned at all - we found lots of hairs in the wardrobes and the bathroom, and even a cigarette in the kitchen!! There was lots of dust too, our vacuum cleaner quickly filled up when we started cleaning.

We also found many items which were supposed to have been removed, such as old beddings, burned kitchen pans (!), old flip flops (!!), and even some bricks (!!!).

We asked them to fix the toilet as it has very weak flush. However, even after we said that we have to use a bucket to simply flash the water, it is not enough to send a plumber. We had to make a video to show them that even small piece of paper can't be flushed.

The intercom doesn't work properly. It creates problems as we have deliveries and the couriers couldn't hear us.

Furthermore, when the BT engineer came to install broadband, Northside Estates wasn't even able to tell us where the junction box was!

Overall, it has been already a week since we moved in, and nothing has been done to fix the problems! It is not OK, your job is not only to collect rent but you actually have to manage the property. Very disappointing, shame on you!

Update: The cleaning was done after two weeks and the toilet was fixed after three weeks just because I posted this review. I was asked to put down this review which I did. However, after that we reported multiple issues and none of them were addressed. This agency only cares about their reputation, not about their tenants. I restore this review as I would like everyone else to be urged to stay away from this agency.

Denis took time to understand what was important to us as a customer and was able to apply his expertise in order to provide a positive outcome. Customer service is excellent

I have dealt with Mark Philip on several occaisions and found him to be extremely professional, totally responsive and knowledgeable about the what will work and what won't, he researches the applicants and he was able to find great tenants through his actions. He knows the market, and gives you the plain truth about value and markets. Recommended!

As a landlord and having used other letting agents locally I must say Mark Phillips and his team are extremely dedicated,hard working and honest.
From my experience with two other agents locally I rate Northside Estates 5***** and stress free.
