I recently bought a new car from North Star Cars and had an excellent experience. Eli was absolutely amazing—he answered all my questions thoroughly and addressed any concerns I had with patience and professionalism. Went and viewed the car

Went and viewed the car, test drove (over an hour away for me) and started to make a deal. Offered way below value of my car, promised they would hold the car while my car was being sold for the value it’s worth.
Reserved the car online, to then wait for the promised call to take the deposit. Then to find out the car has been sold and cancelled my reservation.
They knew my situation of being heavily pregnant and sorting out my car ready to become a bigger family, but no communication to take the deposit on the day as promised. To say I was really upset was an understatement, wouldn’t touch this company with a barge pole after this experience.
Reply to the below: having a valuation for we buy any car for £1000 more is a lot of money to most people and you knew the car was not showing on the system correctly as a manual but it’s actually an auto which automatically ups the value. If you were listen to the last phone call from Monday you would have heard the conversation on agreeing a call for Tuesday to take the deposit which I was ready for and had the money moved over to complete.

I am very sorry you are disappointed, but your details are not exactly accurate. The valuation of your part exchange is subjective and we offered our true valuation. We do not offer to keep vehicles without our terms of business being met, I have recordings of you being offered to deposit our required amount on two occasions, and you declined, preferring to sell your vehicle elsewhere first. Subsequently, the vehicle sold to another purchaser. I hope you find a suitable vehicle for your need.

Northstar sold me a faulty car and refuse to fix it

Northstar sold me a faulty car. Engine light come on after 2 weeks of ownership. I've taken it back twice and they refuse to fix my car let alone acknowledge it's faulty, copy of fault codes from the diagnostics (twice I paid for independent diagnostics) My turbo has an intermittent fault, code shown to them, goes off so no a fault no fix. Also fault from ownership with the aircon, stop/start & DAB radio all codes given to them and they refuse to fix them. Now in the hands of West Sussex Trading standards, while I will have to pay for the fixes myself. I only wanted a fault free car, not much to ask. Paid £8250 for the privilege. Do yourself a favour and purchase elsewhere. 0% after sales care. Shocking that they can get away with it.
