I needed two 1960's Omega watches to be cleaned and regulated, the North West Horology site appeared on Facebook and , after checking the reviews I contacted them about carrying out the work . The system is very slick . After making contact i was sent a prepaid envelope to send the watches off . Garry replied immediately the watches were received , which was very reassuring .After an initial inspection it was found that both watches had not received the best treatment previously . Garry sent photos an pictures explaining the first findings. There followed a number of emails explaining what was happening.

The first watch a constellation was returned , securely packed , and the result is excellent , timing is very near to perfect . For a mechanical watch I would say it is a good as anything you could get . It is far better than my Patel . The second watch sea master was in the poorest condition and has been returned to a very serviceable state.

Were there any downsides , not really . They are obviously very busy and on occasion I had to jog their memory to give me an update. However whenever I did this the response was virtually immediate . The time scale is much as I expected and have received in the past 3/4 months . I think Garry could explain that to those who are not familiar with horologists.

I would happily refer North West Horology to anyone who needs a watch servicing or repaired. The cost is very reasonable and at no time was additional money requested because of what was found during the work

The team serviced and repaired my Granddad's Smiths Deluxe 17 Jewel watch. Which is 70 years old.

I had an old trench watch from the 1940's. Not particularly valuable but held lots of sentimental value to me. Unfortunately it wasn't wearable or working for at least 4 decades. I was recommended North West Horology by a friend who'd used them a few years ago and they did a wonderful job. The watch case was sterling silver, very battered, and had fixed strap lugs (one of which was missing completely). They were able to repair the case to a wearable condition and get the movement running to the point where it's a wearable daily timepiece and I can't thank them enough. The process of getting the watch to them was easy too. I offered to mail it in but Garry from the team drove to pick the watch up from me and delivered it back the same way with it being a delicate vintage piece.

I've taken several watches to these guys including a vintage 1950's Wittnauer and a few slightly more modern Seiko's and all have been treated with the utmost respect and come back running like new.
