The people and the overall experience is great

becky is the best TA and helps a lot and coming to the college has helped my confidence by making new friends and talking to new people

What nova does well is it provides you lots of information and help on the course itself as well as provides very good coaches to help guide and structure your learning. The websites they use such as onefile are good resources as well and keeps all your information and tasks together so that you're not overrun with loads of different sites and can keep track of what you've done and what else needs to be done. Furthermore, you get plenty of check ins with you're coaches so that you can ask any questions or just any assistance to stay up to date which helps to balance your workload.

My coach Steve Elks taught me a lot of what i now know today so big thanks and credit to him for my experience with nova training couldnt have asked for a better coach

I started in August since starting I have passed my functional skills English level 2 now I am working towards math level 2. Alongside I have also joined construction.i am really enjoying it

The monthly sessions with coach are beneficial to my knowledge and skills the communication is clear and affective the guidance is good on the work towards the end point assessment.

I'm an anti knife crime trainer and I have been invited to do talks at Nova Training on multiple occasions. The staff have always been friendly and professional. I have observed there is a good relationship between staff and students.

I could not recommend Nova training at Colchester to anyone. My son started here in November 2024 with a view to doing his GCSE Maths and their study programme.
Come January he'd done no maths so I rang and spoke to someone who LIED saying he had, but then the next day he was surprisingly given some maths work, well if you call watching a computer screen which he couldn't listen to as they didn't have enough headphones.
NO teacher teaching. No support or guidance.
There was hardly any staff at the facility, they left the students to it most of the time.
They knew when my son started that he had some mental issues but not once did they check in on him. They had to ask me if he had a statement for special needs (he didnt) and they should know that by their records.
The final straw came when my son was in a classroom with a load of students (17/18 year olds who should know better) who verbally abused my son and wrote awful comments about him on the whiteboard. He left in tears. NO SUPERVISION !
This facility is supposed to be hot on safeguarding but I wouldn't send any child there.
I put in an official complaint, they investigated and expelled 3 students, as well as saying they would look at their procedures.
I do hope they do because this training facility is a danger to students who do actually want to learn and move forward, not just use it as a social meet up, to talk about their drugs or vapes, and because the system doesn't know what to do with them.
My son has had an apology but that doesn't take away what he's had to go through. I just hope this review will hope another family to avoid somewhere that is well below standard in safeguarding and individual support.

This collage is ridiculous they are so petty and are full of cs if u seen the state of nova training in Stechford u will know what goes on there as a student all I hear is Shelly is a b word or something every time this collage is ridiculous and are full of shit they try to say ur wrong every time I will be file a lawsuit on this company they even tried telling me at one point that I didn’t come in for 3 weeks and they said they would check the cameras manually but ofc that’s bs and the recipients sam is so lost guy doesn’t know what planet he’s on please do not go to this collage as you will be going there to learn nothing collage is an absolute shit hole and all the teachers there don’t know how to properly teach students just sit there and do nothing for such a long time its ridiculous they try to accuse me of things this place is absolutely disgusting behaviour from the teachers I will shut this company down if it’s the last thing I do of and they treat and talk to some parents absolutely say lies upon lies these teachers do not know what they are on about this collage is absolutely by most the worst collage to go to it’s disgusting on a whole another level even have proof of them saying lies upon lies wouldn’t recommend anyone going to this collage also they talk shit behind ur back the teachers and the manager and the receptionist need to be dealt with properly absolutely disgusted no words for this place they don’t know what’s coming for them they have messed with the wrong person also this is a continuous problem for many people that have been here

This college is a very toxic place disclaimer I do not go there anymore but from my “experience there is staff that do there job properly but in my last review I didn't specifically say that the class b drug that has been smoked has been inside of the college but it’s outside of it I meant like at there homes and I know this cuz the staff from my experience to influence and egg on people that do it and say they do it them selves that’s how I know a lot of the students do
But they don’t need to egg on class b drug now. on SEN sort of thing now there is a high needs student there that is being bulled and not knowing it becuse as soon as this he or she leaves the room they say some nasty stuff the staff said they can’t reach his needs why is he there then they should of look at his case before agreeing to take him in poor he/or she she is sitting there crying cuz he can’t get the extra help that they can’t provide effectively I expressed this an review but they KIKED ME OUT with little notice and it messed with my income cuz some of my income was from a company that gives money only if your at college and looking to work full time or looking for work so that screwed me up lucky I was able to go another route
So yeah thank you for that really helped my financial side of things : being sarcastic, apparently it’s because i did not attend lessons and kept walking out but would u blame me for it if all im getting is homophobic abuse and threats of violence (disclaimer. has been reported to
police) and I only left if I felt like I was in danger or I needed to find away to calm down from all the build up of the incovince this has coursed me and the college did not really do much to help cuz they still continued the homophobia and I’m not the only one that homophobia has happened to in there and they have done nothing to help there case but made it worse ( disclaimer the date at the bottom will be incorrect cuz I did not look at the date I kiked out

Nova Trainning in Dereham is an awful joke. They make fake promises all the time. Please do not bother doing an apprenticeship through this company. They have such a bad reputation in Dereham, Swaffham and Watton that many local businesses who have had dealing with them refuse to take on apprentices. Nova Training also have a habit of pushing vulnerable students with additional needs into some exploitative work experience such working in Poundland. They’ll also push you to complete online courses with them but then fail to mark the assignments them on time leading to you paying in excess of two hundred pounds on a course you completed.

this collage is a disgrace didnt give me chance to even find myself they just kicked me out no warning nothing for not showing up for something i wasn't told about the teachers that go there are the same age as most students 19.. all they talk about is getting drunk amongs the other students also the receptionist is rude and has no clue wtf hes doing the place is a shit hole dont go xoxoxoxo

Tutors Jamie and Sukhy was very kind and supportive Helen the office lady very welcoming and kind as well all staff overall where very nice I recommend

What I like in Nova Training, is the staff, they're friendly and offer you great support. The work provided may seem difficult at first, but as you continously work on this you'll, get better each time to improve. My experience here is great.

I would not recommend anyone go to this college. This college is absolutely a disgrace and the learning is absolutely poor. They say you’re going to do construction next minute you’re not the staff members are poor as well and do not let them manipulate you. They say that we will give you the money back for the bus But they don’t they use it in vouchers. this place is absolutely horrendous
