I used Novomed for my Bariatric Surgery in Istanbul.
The service i received from the moment I contacted them in the UK was superb and everything went to plan the hospital in Istanbul BHT Clinic was amazing best hospital I have ever been to great service.

I would recommend Novemed they were absolutely brilliant. I had lots of question and they were very happy to answer and reassure me. My dietician Sema was amazing and so helpful. She helped to keep me calm and explain everything along the way. The only thing I would change is when you wake up in recovery you should be able to have pain medicine and anti sickness medicine if you need it straight away and not have to wait until your in your room that the only reason why u gave it a 4 and not a 5 as I was very sick for an hour and I feel if I had those meds straight away I would of been a lot more comfortable. That’s the only slight negative. If they changed that it would be prefect as everything was done perfectly down to the transfers and just amazing care by the nurses and doctors.

Excellent service from start to finish. Everything was handled professionally, efficiently, I felt genuinely looked after, and the quality exceeded my expectations. Communication was clear and friendly, Sema Karasu is amazing and professional and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Thank you!

Would recommend Novemed to anyone had my surgery in novemeber was really nervous but dietician Sema made me feel so much better and made sure everything ran smoothly. the nurses where brilliant constantly checking on me and giving more pain relief and came as soon as I needed them and my surgeon who also checked on me both days.

Honestly i would recommend novemed to anyone. I had my surgury on December 2nd and honestly there is not 1 part of it i can fault. Everything from transfers to my stay in the hospital was on point. The hospital staff looked after me extremely well especially the dietician Sema who met me at the door of the hospital when i arrived and stayed with me throughout making sure i was clear on everything and now i am home she is just a message away to help me with my diet. 3 weeks in im a stone and a half down. Best decision i have made for myself in a lot of years.

I had my Gastric Sleeve at Novemed last week, and it was the best decision of my life.
They were extremely professional, quick on their feet, and just overall made me feel safe.
Especially the dietitian Sema, was a breath of fresh air. She handled everything like a champ, explained everything in detail, treated us like family, and she was there every step of the way. She was a pro at the minor details, and absolutely lovely !

The hospital was modern, and clean, and the staff was insanely nice. The nurses were so kind, loving, and good at their jobs.
The surgeon was also extremely professional, and kind. He checked in w us several times, and was really caring. Even though he is a busy man.
Not to forget the drivers, that transported us back and forth. They were really nice, and so sweet.

Went with my sister, not sure what to expect but trust my sisters research and was blown away by not just a medical team but fell like family taking care of you.

I am 2 weeks out from my surgery and I can say it was efficient, supportive, pleasant and kind. Both the personal working on the Novemed team and the hospital were knowledgeable and readily available. I had hypertension that needed to be monitored and they regularly came to check in on my on top of everything else. Special shout out to Oliver who handle all my question prior to making my decision to move forward with Novemed and Dr Derici. He was readily available despite the time zone difference. The doctor is soooo kind and made me feel comfortable and came to check in multiple times. I've never gone through so many test/eval in such an efficient way before. A HUGE shoutout to Sema, she was there throughout the day from when i was dropped off at the hospital, really because my person from the handoff.

The only thing i'll say that I would have liked different would have been having the pick up time and hotel reservation prior to our arrival - however I'm an A type so I like to have all the information upfront. But if you are more go with the flow they will have everything handled from when you are identified.

This only because a concern when we were picked up at the airport and the driver mentioned the hotel name which was different from what I was originally told so I was worried and it was really late at night

I suspect things will continue to go well with my touch point throughout the next 12 months but so far so goo!

I had such an incredible experience and journey with Novemed In Istanbul. The entire experience was smooth , easy and over all incredible. I can’t recommend Novemed enough . They are caring and the communication was straight forward and very supportive from booking my gastric sleeve surgery all the way to me coming to Istanbul and having the surgery, I felt safe and at ease with Sema by my side while she guided me through the surgery . I can’t recommend her enough. The surgery was a success and I look forward to a healthier life and amazing results

The staff are amazing. We spent a total of 6 days there before flying home. The pre op tests were over quickly and the surgery went well. I can barely see the scars from the incisions and I'm only 16 days post op.

The only thing thats been difficult is the time difference since being home as receiving answers to messages takes a little longer than I'd like.

Point of advice if youre going to do the surgery, stay in Turkey for an extra week so you heal abit more before going home. 24hrs to get home 5 days post op is not fun.

i had a very good experience with them . From the pick up from the airport through to the surgery. My surgeon Doctor Derci was top notch. communicated very well and i will always recommend them . My dietitian has also been very supportive. Her name is Sema . She is ready to respond to any on my concerns . and i had a nurse called Sara and she was excellent.

My experience with Novemed was fantastic. The support from airport to hotel, then to the hospital and throughout the surgery, and back to the hotel was well thought out and smooth. I was well taken care of during my stay starting with being met by a representative at the hospital through to after surgery care. Special thanks to Sema, my dietician, who provided me with support, information, and encouragement throughout my stay. I would strongly recommend Novemed, well worth the travel from New Zealand.

The whole experience was really good — the entire team was there to help me every step of the way, and my amazing dietitian Sema helped me with my diet after the surgery.

Overall I would definitely recommend using Novamed for any medical procedures in Istanbul, as they make sure to give you premium service.

It would be weird to say that our daughter had a good time, having her bariatric revision sleeve procedure, but her treatment (before, during and after) and stay has been exceptional.
Two ladies, in particular (Nargiza and Sema) as well as the surgeon and anaesthetist, were very caring and diligent.
That care continues now we're back in the UK.

Everything went smoothly, the team is super professional and I felt well taken care of. Sema, my dietitian helped me with all the examinations, explained everything in great detail and checked up on me even after the surgery. 🥰
