A con!!

Typical example of a company that puts important disclaimers in small print to get more money out of you... I signed up for a trial and was under the impression that I could cancel, I later discovered in small print there was a line about a year minimum term meaning I have to pay every month for a year... i complained and escalated with their team 5 times and no compensation so I am now stuck paying for a year.

This is quite literally a con service, if it was clear I could pay a few extra pounds to cancel after a month I would? Why hide it?

Disgraceful! Anyone reading this should avoid, just use Netflix and Paramount, they are far better!

Falsely leading offer

Price stated as £9.99 a month or £4.99 a month when trialled with the HBO max boost. Stated as cancel anytime.

I went with the offer. On cancellation only the boost part could be cancelled but not the main membership, meaning I now have to pay £4.99 for a year.

Under the membership it still says cancel anytime, if you then look further down the page at the fine print it says in brackets contracted till next year.

This is false advertising and misleading stating of the offer. I know other people who have been caught out too.

On raising this to now tv they refused to cancel the membership or transfer to a different package eg movies.

They were completely unhelpful and further replies were all autogenerated.

Will never use again.

SCAM

Completely unclear on pricing, and billing. Lies when contacting the customer service saying that it was a fixed term which was NOT apparent on sign up

Poor User Experience

I subscribed to this service hoping to watch F1 races on catch-up. However at 8pm on a Sunday night, the race which took place more than 12hrs earlier isn't yet available to watch. Given the cost of a Now TV subscription, this isn't acceptable.

They are greedy for money don’t care about your pet

I’m got a very sick dog that’s fitting bad and he going to the hospital on Monday and it’s Sunday today. The hospital said phone the vets that get more meds to stop him fitting. I did go down to my vet when they were open and I did not need to bring a very sick pet down to the vets as they got his full history of his illness but when I phoned vets now and I am disable and it’s hard for me to bring a dog that’s out cold down to the vets I said you got history the hospital said you only need to go down and get the meds that help him stop fitting and they refused to give me the meds to stop the fits unless I bring a very sick pet out in the cold to get the meds. They just greedy for money as I know they would charge 300 pounds just to walk in the door the god know how much to see the vet and then pay for the meds. They don’t care about pets the just want money. I never use them. They got no care in them just wanting money don’t care the pet is suffering with many fits. I can’t believe what sort of vets are they.

Having difficulties with streaming…

Having had difficulties with streaming the service and therefore attempting to cancel the two remaining months at £3.99 a month, now we’re not interested in resolving the issue and simply demanded I continue to pay for a somewhat poor service,ie unable to stream at all times. They simply closed the complaint without communication or attempts to resolve the issues.
I would not recommend joining now, if you don’t receive a good service you’re expected to pay regardless.

Disgusted

Disgusted that companies like this can operate. 1 week free trial turned into a years minimum subscription and absolutely no way to contact anyone, live chat system would not escalate or get to a human. Formal complaint filed on Jan 1st, no response. Currently taking them through CEDR (Commercial Mediation and Conflict Resolution).

Update: NOWTV have agreed to settle (cancel, refund and compensation). I highly suggest you take them through CEDR for mis-sell of a product if you have issued a formal complaint and final notice with no response.

The worst experience ever

The worst experience ever. You can't speak to them, they won't give out contact names or emails for customer service managers - clearly those managers know how appalling the service is and hide behind a team of people on their chat system. They've been taking payments for various TV services over the last four years from my seriously ill father who was incapable of using the service. Now they can't explain the payments that are so varied each month for services that were never used. Then they cut you off the chat or promise to escalate the complaint but nothing happens. They really are the worst of the worst.

Absolute rubbish

I was using Now TV and Boost/Ultraboost (for no ads) to watch The Sopranos. Everything was going ok until today, as Sopranos is now under the HBO Max Basic membership, which includes ads. On top of this, the subtitles are suddenly way out of sync.

Other issues include:
- Where you were in the series rarely syncs between two devices.
- Logging in seems to clear my watchlist.
- You are CONSTANTLY pushed to upgrade your package with irrelevant shows and movies on the home screen instead of just showing a simple "Continue Watching" section.

Terrible experience. I've now cancelled my membership and will be finding another way to watch this series.

SUBSCRITION AND CONSTANT ADVERTS

i pay 30 quid a month for the footy and to watch 3 mins of highlights of other games I have to sit through a mandatory 1 minute of adverts. Their are more adverts than football. I ave to pay 30 quid with TNT or discovery plus because they because they have games on. Thats 60 quid for what used to be free. Until the BBC realised that they dont have to pay for elite sports because we have to pay them anyway . Its a joke a rip off and needs changing

I have been trying to contact NOW…

I have been trying to contact NOW Broadband for several weeks regarding the cancellation of my broadband contract, but have received no meaningful response. I have sent multiple emails (Case ID: 15629006), yet I am now not even receiving acknowledgements.

I was initially advised via email to contact them by phone or chat. However, after numerous attempts, their phone line repeatedly disconnects due to issues with their IVR system. When I tried the chat service, I was informed that it is not available for broadband customers. This leaves me with no viable way to contact them, which is extremely frustrating.

My service was suspended from 13 February for around three weeks, and since then I have been attempting to cancel. Despite this, I am still being charged £44.50 per month, which is already quite high for a standard broadband service — particularly given that no service has been provided during this period.

I was previously advised to cancel the contract immediately, but since following that instruction I have received no confirmation or further communication.

I am currently outside the UK, which makes this situation even more difficult to manage. I am now seeking confirmation that my notice period started on 6 March, along with a resolution to the charges applied despite the lack of service.

Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience, and not the level of customer service anyone would expect.

Waited weeks for activation and never came. So many hours wasted for the engineer to come. Kept taking money out in the meantime. Worst customer service and telephone answering system ever.

Anyone who uses or thinks of using now…

Anyone who uses or thinks of using now tv please do not.

I tried back on the 25th of feb this year only to watch a series i couldnt find. And afterwards i cancelled my subscription.

As of earlier today ( 25th march 2026 ) i got charged money for a cancelled subscription. I went to their support team and questioned this and they lie and claim they cant cancel it or deleted accounts. They have instead illegally added an extention on my cancelled subscription to keep trying to take money until 25/02/2027. I contacted my bank. My bank gave them an order to cancel it and they still are trying to get money without concent

Do not use now tv ever

Sneaky cash grabbers

It looked as if I was signing up for a membership I could cancel at any time but it turns out I was locked in for a whole year subscription that I didn't want. Very disingenuous and misleading.

Good price offered, lousy product

Good price offered, but won't allow me to watch on the device of my choice (my tablet).
Have cancelled, but have to pay for another 11 months, even though I've only had the service for 5 days.
The product isn't good for use.
