An absolute joke of a company, they had technical issues, and could not process the tests, we ended up having to use an alternative company at the last minute!!!

Do not use this company they gave no support.

Nearly missed my flight, DO NOT TRUST FOR COVID TEST TO TRAVEL

Nearly missed my flight because of this service. I used this as a back up option as my first covid test-to-fly kit failed. I decided to pay the extra money at the airport to buy an antigen covid test. Although the test was easy to do- I did the self test, the certificate and app were malfunctioning. It produced an invalid result certificate- despite me having a negative test. I tried to sort it with the staff at the airport test site and they said they were just receptionists/admin and couldn't do anything.
They gave me a helpline to speak to and the person on the phone said they could not change the result and there was no way of changing it- no IT helpline, I had to email. 2 hours before my flight. The email response time is 24 hours. I emailed them anyway and got a reply over 24hrs later! Of which then I would have missed my flight.
The reception staff advised me to buy another kit and I would have it refunded. I did that and the test finally worked, but then when I emailed NPH about my refund they refused and said I should have spoke to someone in the company and they would have refunded it for me- which no one was able to!

So I have now spent £34 on antigen tests by a service that nearly caused me to miss my flight, had no IT help desk available or customer care to resolve the situation and refused to even refund the extra test kit I bought. DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY TO TRAVEL.

Next day results slower than most

Posted to help people decide whether this is the service you want. This relates to the PCR pre-flight test.

Tested at 10am one morning, results at 1520 following day. This is the slowest 'next day' service I've used (I've done lots of pre-flight PCRs this past year, travelling for work reasons) and the ONLY one which wasn't available before mid-morning the following day.
If you're flying short haul or to a country with a 72 hour limit on PCR tests this might be enough as you can test a day earlier. If you're flying long-haul or with a 48 hour limit, you might be better looking elsewhere.

Testing itself was quick and efficient.

Daylight robbery

I booked a PCR test at 10pm because I had an issue with my Covid passport data (it hadn't updated and I needed it to travel abroad). At 5am (7 hours later) I noticed that my covid passport was working so I promptly cancelled my PCR test.
I then wrote to NPH to explain and ask for a refund, to which they replied and said no because they had already incurred costs. All they did is take a £195 online booking, held it for 7 hours overnight and keep my money.
NPH's terms are unfair, and they have taken money for nothing.
The directors of this business should be embarrassed.

Happy from Newcastle

I am a returning customer and have always found the staff and clinicians both helpful and knowledgeable. Having has tests done at other airports, this is by far the simplest from start to finish.

No stars at all. I tried to book tests for my daughter and I, and once I booked her test, there were no slots available for me. 39 pounds spent. Then I tried again doing my slot first - in case they didn't like minors having slots on their own - and bingo - another 39 pounds spent and now no slots available for my daughter. I cancelled both within 10 minutes of the booking and the company does not reimburse if you cancel within 48 hours. An expensive lesson for me. Watch out! There is no existing legistation that forbids companies from making these harsh(my opinion) terms and conditions and the company has refused to offer any goodwill payment or refund.

Fit to Fly PCR Service @ NCL

Excellent service at Newcastle Airport for fit to fly PCR.
Test booked for 12:10, process took a matter of minutes, had the results at 18:25 same day.
This is the second time I’ve used NPH and the service was as good each time.

Lateral flow self test for departure

Lateral flow self test worked for one of us and did for the other. At all. Followed all instructions and submitted all the data and photos. No explanation from the support team.

The app on which their LFT testing process relies didn't work

We used NPH Group's lateral flow self-testing kits for the mandatory 'inbound to UK' testing. We purchased kits for 2 people and (thankfully) decided to shell out an extra £15 for 1 spare kit.
Their testing process relies on an app, which is not fit for purpose. The app requires the user to take "clear photos" of their test strip at multiple points as evidence of the result, but it is impossible to focus the camera when using the app. (My partner and I, using different devices, both had this issue. We tried all kinds of angles, distances and lighting conditions to no avail. Outside of the app, our cameras were working fine.) The test and evidence capture is highly time-sensitive, so this caused us a lot of stress.
After we decided to take the plunge and submit our blurry photos, I received a message within a few seconds advising that my negative result had been confirmed. For my partner, nothing. He never received any communication of any kind about whether that test submission was successful, unsuccessful, result pending or to otherwise acknowledge that anything had been submitted. After about 7 hours, he tried again using the spare test kit - encountering the exact same blurry photo issue but thankfully this time he got an immediate confirmation that his negative result had been confirmed.
My husband emailed customer services about the issue who in fairness, replied very quickly to say that they would follow up. However we had received no further communication when we flew back to the UK 2 days later. Without the spare test kit, we would have had to frantically make other testing arrangements at our departure airport.

Need to wait outside in the cold

Disappointing.
Be warned if testing in Newcastle Airport you have to wait outside in the cold until it is your exact turn to go in and be tested. There were delays too so not seen for at least 25 mins after appointment time all the time standing outside. Not what you need after flying for 20 hours and paying £95 (more than double the prices of doing at Heathrow) staff couldn't care less.... 'not my problem'
Results took 34 hours to be returned.

DO NOT USE THE SELF TEST KITS AND APP. THEY ARE USELESS.

I paid for tests for a group travelling to Europe - Fit to Fly and Day 2 tests. A week after we took the test we are still waiting for the result for one of the group. We had to pay for a test at the airport to enable her to fly. Two of us are trying to take the day 2 test and the app won't recognise the reference numbers. Phoned the NPH Call centre...they can't do anything other than give an email address with a 24 hour response time. Customer service is diabolical. Seems to me that they have no idea how to deal with any technical issue with the app.

I am still waiting to do the UK return…

I am still waiting to do the UK return Lateral app test. I have been at this since Saturday, now Tuesday! My phone was not happy about their app, and I am unable to load the Code they gave me. Received another email 11.05pm, telling me my booking and app entry details must be wrong. They are not, perhaps they should have offered to mail me another test, won't hold my breath!

Face to face covid testing experience at Newcastle Airport

Booked face to face, 24h turnaround PCR tests at Newcastle Airport for an elderly relative who cannot do self-tests. I found the service to be professional, communication was prompt and calls / emails were answered by real people who could help on each occasion. I had to give them a call on one occasion to check about the ETA for the test result and got reassurance and a timely result; they also changed a necessary detail on the test certificate very quickly. The second time I booked the wrong test by mistake and they provided a kind refund promptly. My relative found the test centre easily and had only good things to say about the staff, who even booked her taxi home. Would recommend this airport testing service.

Hard to find testing center , its not in Leeds Bradford airport, its located long walk or you need taxi when raining or you have luggage, no any signs, i have asked airport workers and nobody know where it is, it shouldnt be called leeds bradford airport test center ,its missleading.More expensive than other airports.

Overstressing experience

I had to plan a flight abroad at the very last moment and a "fit-to-fly" PCR Test for Covid was mandatory.
I booked a test with results within 48 hours with NPH Group (testing at Leeds-Bradford Airport). No feedback from NPH, the time was running. I sent an email and the answer was "I have checked the system and the results are not back yet. I cannot speed up the process". I called the very same day of the flight and the answer was the same. I couldn't miss the flight so I had to take another "fit-to-fly" test with results within 3 hours with Randox at Manchester Airport. Randox results arrived within the promised time and I was able to fly.
NPH results arrived late (after the 48 hours) and if I waited for them I would have lost my flight.
I asked for a reimbursement, and I got an answer stating that by their T&C results could be late and that was the case.
It is not about the money, but about leaving a customer stressing without informing him of any delay so he can organise himself differently.
Very BAD, BAD experience. Never again.
