Had building cover on my property in SA and contents cover on my personals in QLD. Called NRMA to move my contents insurance to SA. They were trying to force me to complete their calculator as they deemed my contents to be $52k when its a little less than that. I explained I will carry the risk and no I did not want to increase my sum insured. They wouldn't go any further - they refused to move on unless I increased my sum insured. If I want to carry the risk that is my prerogative. Have been a customer since the late 90s (originally with CGU and then when NRMA took over moved across) but yet NRMA are perfectly okay to lose Building, Contents and Car Insurance with a client cos they wouldn't complete an online calculator. You know what their response was "The system won't allow us". NRMA keep satisfying your system and not your customer! You are a joke!!

Warning don't just keep rolling over policies i checked my green slip roll over renewal was $1100 I did a new application it ended up being $780 for the same policy makes me question the 7 other policies I have been a member and customer for 30 + years seems loyalty doesn't matter.

I went hunting the internet for good priced insurance and found NRMA this year to be the most competitive. I was worried when hearing media reports that insurance may be getting out of reach for many but luckily for our home we are ok.

I recently added another vehicle to my policy with NRMA Insurance and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The whole process was smooth, straightforward, and handled with genuine professionalism.
The customer service was excellent — friendly, efficient, and more than happy to answer all my questions. It made what can sometimes be a tedious process feel easy and stress free.
I was also really impressed with the pricing. As a multi-policy holder, the discount offered was fantastic value and made the decision to insure my additional vehicle with NRMA an easy one.
Overall, a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend NRMA for anyone looking for reliable cover, competitive pricing, and outstanding service.

Long time NRMA Customer currently have 5 policies with them spanning over personal and business with a mix of car insurances and home insurances
Currently going through a claim for ride-off hail damage and appalled at how NRMA has handled it.
My policy auto renewed 18th March and incident occurred on the 21st March. I was merely 3 days from the automatic yearly policy renewal till the hail damage incident occurred.
For a 3 day window I am getting charge the total year of policy being approx $1,400 and potentially a drop in agreed value from the previous policy.
When speaking to a senior escalation manager I was told NRMA has see this from a business perspective and their is nothing they can do, it’s good to know they value their business over their long term customers.
My vehicle also got towed away and due to the escalation and then taking their time I have been without this car for weeks since it has been towed, costing me hundreds of dollars in Ubers and transport.
Terrible resolution and I am unhappy with the resolution and customer support. I will be cancelling all 5 policies I have with the company and moving insurance companies.
I would say STAY AWAY they value their business more than their customers

Went to renew my CTP Greenslip. The website couldn't process my quote so had to call, 2 hours 3 calls and multiple forms later still had no policy and also cancelled my comprehensive policy with NRMA. Worst customer service, couldn't imagine what the process would be like if I ever had to make a claim.
*UPDATE* I've now noticed my payment went through when I used the initial NRMA quote link provided that ended up in an error that started this whole mess. I now don't have the funds to pay for my CTP with another provider until I get my money back, spoke with someone on chat they told me to send an email which I have, I am now vehicle-less until this is sorted...
Also went to the link below that lead me to an error page (might have been me but if it's not, that checks) but I found the chat through FB and was given (pretty sure) a bot, another few questions, which then lead them to send me another link with more forms. Not wasting my time anymore, it genuinely feels like they are doing this on purpose at this stage AVOID NRMA AT ALL COSTS!

I have all my policies with NRMA; great service and confidence they are there if something goes wrong. I also recently bought travel insurance for the family through them, the lady in Perth was so lovely and had so much patience working through the options. Great company, lots of trust ✨

I have been a member of the NRMA for 40 years. I trust that when I need roadside assistance or to claim on my insurance that I will receive quality service. I find that when I have needed customer service over the phone, my call is answered quickly and I am speaking to someone who lives here. I do agree with some of the other comments, that the cost of insurance has risen by hundreds/thousands of dollars and for most of us is a huge expense in our lives that causes much anxiety.

This is the most expensive insurance that I can not afford anymore. I have compared multiple car insurance companies (AAMI, Budget Direct etc), and they offer a much better price for my comprehensive car insurance. I will drive under 5,000 km and be locked in the garage all the time, as I have purchased my second car. I chat with the salesperson from NRMA to review the price. It still cost me a high price. Even if I change to market value, it will cost more. The service and claims are quite good, but they stay firm in their price. So I can only change to another company.
