Really supportive and immersive way of learning, which is important in an industry that you probably haven't studied at school! It was always made clear, and always felt like, if any help was needed it was there.

This was the first NTI Insolvency Conference that I have attended and it has more than met my expectations. All the speakers were very informative and they packed a lot of relevant and important information into a short space of time. There were lots of opportunities to ask questions and I found it very useful to hear the views of other professionals within the insolvency industry. Quality training delivered despite COVID restrictions playing havoc with the schedule. NTI ensured that Students had access to superb electronic materials through lockdown and tailored the course with a mix of webcast and live lectures to deliver the syllabus. A webcast option was offered in lieu of live courses for those unable to travel.

An incredible team, who really care about your learning and go the extra mile to prove it! I would fully recommend that anyone looking to learn about insolvency use NTI.

I highly recommend NTI to any person aiming for Insolvency qualifications. For starters, this is their niche area as opposed to other training providers that cover many subject areas. Secondly, the methods used, in particular for training the brain to remember subject area are superb and really helped me to prepare for my exam. My tutor from NTI was Richard and I have nothing but praise for his professional yet imaginative approach to training. Furthermore, his commitment to his students is second to none.

Pass or fail, the JIEB course and tutoring from NTI really was first class and I certainly couldn’t have asked for more.

Richard and Neil are exceptional tutors, they really enliven the topics and their enthusiasm is infectious. A dedicated learning mentor is available at all times (day or night!) to answer any queries and it really does feel like they are willing to go the extra mile to get you through this tough exam.

The course is very well structured with a detailed learning guide and work plan breaking down the full course into a daily task list, if required.

Also, the app is fantastic and a great resource, with quick access to all online lecture recordings, mini tests, presentations on current issues and online versions of all course materials. Invaluable.

I've just sat my JIEB exams and was really pleased with the service offered by all of the lecturers and admin staff. They really want you to succeed and will go above any beyond in order to help you. The materials are really innovative and the modular webcasts are amazing, it gives you the opportunity to really solidify your understanding.

Although NTI provide a wealth of materials, emails and a snazzy app, the people based learning was often lacking.

In their defense, this has been a tough year for all of us and it wasn't possible to hold the face to face training sessions that many of us signed up for.

However, quite often the alternative online learning was little more than a read through of a PowerPoint presentation and had little opportunity for discussion other than a chat box.

A proper interactive Zoom/Skype based approach would have been far better.

I also found the mentor to be very slow to respond to queries and marking which just added to the sense of panic leading up to the exams. They were not very hands on and only provided support if prompted - i had hoped for more.

I also found several errors in the answers to the question/mock papers or date inconsistencies that created confusion.

In the end, me and some of the other students arranged our own training sessions which proved to be invaluable - this kind of interaction should be encouraged as the additional feedback and ability to share ideas made a huge difference.

I took the CII Course and passed my exam first time. It was about a 250 hour time commitment. As someone new to insolvency, I spent about half my study time using NTI materials and found them useful for general introduction. I agree with the test-taking and memorisation advice they give. Still, memorising the vast majority of the info in the course materials left me guessing half of the questions on exam day. I wouldn’t have passed the exam if I hadn’t spent the other half of my time reading IA 1986 and IR 2016 directly. NTI fell short of its advertising claims that I could benefit from the course content whenever I choose to sit my exam. By the end of July when I sat my exam, neither of the 2 mock exams was ready. The only practice I had access to at the level of depth and difficulty of the exam was the ICAEW’s own free sample exam. When I discussed these questions with my learning mentor, she said these are very tricky. While actual exam questions require you to put together multiple facts, ascertain which ones are most relevant and use professional judgment, the NTI question bank tests memorisation of a single fact at a time. I got the benefit of one of the two review days, and it was postponed by 15 days from the date that was on the website when I signed up - thus the week before my exam.

I found that the course content was very informative and delivered at the right pace to enable attendees to learn the different modules covered in the day.

I have had many lectures throughout my life, most lasting around an hour or two and resulting in me half asleep twenty minutes in. Neil kept me engaged for a terrific 5 hours. An interesting and in depth insight into corporate insolvency and a real entertainer!

Thanks again Neil. I hope to use NTI again very soon!

It was a super helpful, succinct, clear and informative. It was engaging and interesting and definitely makes you feel like you want to learn more. Although being face to face would have been good, the web seminar was still a straight forward and smooth operation and I was still able to ask questions and have them answered quickly and easily. Really good! Thank you.
