While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

FYI this company is currently in a lawsuit against LinkedIn for I believe computer fraud, amongst other things . In the lawsuit linkedin says they created hundreds of thousands of fake accounts to scrape data. Who knows the result of their damages…
For instance I think that before the HiQ lawsuit they marketed their US profiles database as having like 170ish million, then in 2024 they suddenly had like 250 million US profiles in their data base….. now suddenly it is around 70 million I believe. You should probably think for yourselves what this means!!!!!!!!!
Also the CEO is likely a terrible person. Do your research on him , including his reputation with Singapore government. He also seems to hire and fire employees , lying to them during the entire process, which makes sense given his character.
The pricing is fake. They claim that you can spend one credit per page, but they don’t tell you when they cache the content - so ultimately you need to spend 2 credits per search. When asked about this, they said “it’s a business decision” very dryly.
THEY ARE SCAMMERS !!!! Stay Clear !!! Be warned !!!!
They offered to pay me 350$ for a Technical Writer Article that took me 1 week to write for them, now they have refused to pay me my money. I reported to the Singapore Police Department . I reported to Interpol and the FBI. They are currently under investigation. So beware of this fake company. They are wicked and heartless and scammers. Beware of Joseph from Proxycurl. They are all scammers!!!! Runaway !!!!

Their data is up to 29 days old / stale. You don't see this on any of their front pages, it's hidden in some API doc. Plus, the pricing they advertise (1 credit to get a LinkedIn Profile) isn't accurate. That's only for *cached* data. To get the *29 day stale* data they charge you two (2) credits. Be ready for a bunch of unpleasant surprises when dealign with this service.

STAY AWAY - Dishonest billing practices.
Company should be shut down.
They say you are in a 1 year contract when you sign up for month-month billing and won't let you cancel.

Reply from Proxycurl
This company employs misleading tactics in its subscription model. Here's what to watch out for:
1. Bait and Switch: They lure you in with a monthly plan option, but there's a catch.
2. Hidden Consent: After opting for the monthly plan, you're presented with an unavoidable "consent" form.
3. Unfair Cancellation Policy: The form states that if you cancel, you'll be charged for the entire year upfront.
4. No Way Out: This consent can't be skipped, essentially trapping you into either continuing the subscription or paying a large sum to cancel.
5. Yearly Plan Trap: They also try to trick users into signing up for a yearly plan from the start, making cancellation even more difficult.
In summary, be extremely cautious when considering this service. Read all terms carefully, and be prepared for hidden clauses that may lock you into unwanted financial commitments. It's advisable to seek services with more transparent and fair subscription practices.

Be aware of their NOT REALLY monthly plan. Crazy!
> By ticking this checkbox, I agree to a 12-month service contract with Proxycurl as detailed in the sales agreement. I understand that this contract will automatically renew every 12 months unless I cancel it before the renewal date. If I cancel early before the end of the 12-month period, I acknowledge my obligation to pay the remaining balance of the contract term, and I agree that Proxycurl may bill me for this amount. I have read and understood these terms.

They're monthly plan is not monthly. It's an annual plan paid monthly. If you cancel they won't give you credits either. Stay away!!
