I just want to say thank you to all the staff here at The New York Institute of Photography. I had learned so much in Professional Photography at this school. Every one here, and my own mentor has been very helpful on the feedback on my photo projects that I had done. I would defiantly recommend this school to anyone who's interested in learning more in photography. Thanks so much again.

I'm halfway through my second course with NYIP and found them both to be excellent in terms of content breadth and depth. I particularly like the course interface as it's very easy to navigate and go back and review. The tests at the end of each section are a great way to make sure the information has sunk in. The required projects can be challenging, but that is a good thing.

My ONLY criticism is that they use the American date system, which for us Brits is confusing and I almost failed to complete the first course on time as I misread the date and thought I had far more time than I actually had. Fortunately, they send out reminders and follow up with students. Silly mistake on my part but for a course that is international, perhaps something as small as the date format should be more explicit. Fortunately we were able to speed through the remainder of the course in time.

I did Intense Portrait Photography through NYIP and it was the beginning of an exciting journey because of the end to end excellence of NYIP. That includes the training methodologies, excellent mentors, solid and honest feedback, productive training materials and high standard of education.

I’ve taken two courses at NYIP and have been completely satisfied with both.
The tutorials (which you can take at your own pace and rerun as often as you like) are easy to follow and the instructors have the hands on experience needed to teach the course. All are experienced photographers so they can relate to student problems and are always available to answer individual questions. I would not hesitate to take course #3.
Also I especially like the fact that your complete lessons are available for 1 year after graduation so you can review a lesson at anytime in between (which I do often).
The projects and critiques are most helpful. I would highly recommend the school.

I really enjoy these online photography classes...they have taught me quite a bit...I have taken 2 classes so far...

I enjoyed learning New things. With my busy work life a needed to ask for an extension and they gladly gave me more time to finish. Very helpful!

I enjoy studying photography at NYIP. The materials are very helpful and easy to understand. What I like most is that I can learn at my own pace. I would highly recommend NYIP to anyone who have an interest in photography.

I like NYI, they don't pressure you on when you sign in or when you do your work, however I do wish they would have more assignments with using the camera. It would help a lot more.

Okay technical material although dated and biased. Defensive when receiving feedback.

This course is not interactive at all like the promo said. The video and the reading lack the depth, and there are not any demonstrative tutorial, for critical topics likes lightning. I found more and better information on YouTube for free; actually, I subscribed to another education site that thought me lightning technics, posing and group shot. I really that I waste my money and time on this course.

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

I loved the course and the feedback I received from my mentors. It was an all around great experience. Thank you so much for teaching me well!

I have very much enjoyed the Professional Photography Course I took with the NYIP. The course instructors were very professional. I learned many photography skills with NYIP of which I am very proud of. I already have had many compliments on my photos.

I completed the professional photography course and the landscape. I love this school and the courses and learned so much. The lessons and chapters were clear and easy to follow and then student forem was a great help

I'm taking the Fundamentals of Photography course and learning so much! Lessons are easy to understand and broken down into easy to comprehend segments with short quizzes that kind of help you make sure you're "getting it".

I love so much that I will comeback for another photography course soon . I did the wedding course .
I was skeptical about doing something like that online , but it was the best decision .the instructors are there to help . . You can contact the school for any question or concerns at any time .
And my skills jump from ok to very good . I’m confidence to start any project now at any time everything its only a click way. I’m very thankful for guidance through the whole course.
I recommend Nypi to all my friends and families.

Thanks for helping me gain knowledge in some areas that I was weak.
The only complaint I have is that the one and only time I reached out for some encouragement/motivation I was sadly disappointed with the response which was little to none 🙁
