I made no mistake!
As a foreigner, I needed to "try" this kind of education, so I did choosed Fundamentals of Digital Photography course - as it was cheaper than "Pro" course.
I made no mistake!
It was 2014 year, they had printed materials back then. Aside from being motivational, I gained skills from finishing the Projects, Tips, and Confidence!
Thank you, New York Institute of Photography!
This is the best course in professional photography out there
I recommend the complete course of professional photography to anyone interested in this art, pros or amateurs will learn new skills through easy to understand lessons and fun photo projects at the end of each module. In my case, as an amateur photographer this course helped me to gain confidence. In addition, you can study anywhere in the world, I live in Mississauga, Ontario in Canada, and for me was more convenient and cheaper to take this course online with the NYIP than taking a similar program in my own city.
Amazing photography course!!
Amazing!
One of the best things i never did, little high on cost but it was money well spent! I graduated may 22nd 2018 best thing I ever did with my money. Teachers were very helpfu, counselors were always answering my questions.
I loved the experience I got from the Professional Photography Course.
I loved the experience I got from taking this class. They made it easy to communicate and really understood when life got in the way. I think a live class would be beneficial, like maybe one a month offered so we get real time teaching instead of just videos.

Snapshots to art
Since enrolling with NYIP, I have learned how to capture beautiful images that tell a story. When I first started, I would take my camera, set it in full auto, press the shutter and be content. I now currently own a photography business, and of course use manual camera settings in order to create beautiful and meaningful images. I no longer capture snapshots, I create art.
Highly recommend NYIP
Anybody interested in photography should use NYIP for their education in photography. The Professional Photographers course is outstanding and extremely informative.
I have finished a 2 years photo course…
I have finished a 2 years photo course already, which was very useful, from a bad amateur photographer I became a good photographer making professional photos. I am very satisfied and very happy that I choose NYIP to learn photography.
Now I am doing my second course with NYIP the photoshop course.
The best online course of photography
NYIP - A Temple of Learning
I started this Professional Photography Course with a lot of apprehension. Would this be like the other multitude of on-line photography courses that grow like mushrooms after a rain? Very soon, I was convinced that this was the right choice for a very professional photography course.
Though I started photographing from 1985, it was a lot of self learning and learning by mistakes. Though my friends used to tell me that my pictures were great, I had no idea if I was really right or wrong in my approach.
The transition from "Doing And Knowing" to "Knowing And Doing" was possible only through NYIP. My mentor was very helpful in holding my hand and leading me in the right path. As the saying goes - unlearning is more difficult than learning! I had to literally unlearn a lot of my approach to photography and learn the right way of doing things through this course and with the advice from my mentor. The way my mentor drove home some of my mistakes, I would never ever make those mistakes again in my life!
In our Indian tradition - "Maatha, Pitha, Guru, Daivam"- Translated word for word, it is, “Mother Father Teacher God”. The meaning of this adage is the greatest truth, and is the order in which one should offer reverence. My mentor is my Guru (teacher) and I pay my respects to him for all his teaching. It is also said that one should treat the palace of learning equal to a temple. For me NYIP has become a temple of knowledge, a place of worship.
I take this opportunity to thank all the teaching and non-teaching staff of this institute.
Thank you.
Great lessons but lousy communications
You rarely get to actually speak to anyone at NYIP. From day 1, I was told I have a counselor or someone assigned to me but I have no idea who that mystery person is. I did once speak with someone named Charles who I learned was actually an administrator, he was going to get to the bottom of the problem but I never heard back. Beyond lesson 1, I could never get my photos posted (Charles said it was a problem on my end).
Otherwise, the program is great.

I was doing really good for awhile then my laptop messed up and been having trouble with it but imma try to get back online again
Very good experience
Very organized learning sequence, many links to explore but some of them weren't working. Very detailed explanation in every topic.
I love everything
I love everything! It's at your own pace, you can redo quizzes and tests, you learn a nice amount of everything and it's a great price!
I feel like NYIP gets to the point
I feel like NYIP gets to the point, plus the tips are great! I couldn't wait to get to the assignments after the lessons.

I really learned a lot.
I really learned a lot, especially through the feedback we received on our photos at the end of each unit.
I haven't had a tiny bit of attention…
I haven't had a tiny bit of attention out this institute, I haven't been able to advance due to the lack of information in the course am taking, i had to buy other classes from other sites, look throughout tutorials on internet to fulfill the requested information I need to collect in order to continue with tasks, and the one thing I now know about this course, is that this cannot be taken by yourself, you most study this thing with someone who could help you and understand the same purpose. I'll keep studying and will finish it because that's what I really want, but I am decently disappointed at the lack of attention from this institute.
