Feels pretty scammy...

Like many here, I got 🌟influenced🌟 and started the 30 day free trial.
I never received any kind of sign up email, never got a subscription reminder, I am not on Apple so I didn't download the app, I didn't know which email I used to "sign up" because it doesn't even create an account for you when they take your payment details. I just sent them an email today asking for a refund for a platform that I've never accessed, we'll see if someone actually replies. I they do I'll update my review, but regardless their lack of communication and transparency is concerning.

They charged my card for 150.00, but luckily, my bank declined it. I haven't received any comms, and they aren't listed as an active subscription on my end. There is no number, and I've checked my email with nothing to be found. This is definitely a scam.

refused a refund and were difficult...

They charged me for a month after the trial, but I never got the email they claimed they sent out to warn me (no, it wasn't in the spam folder either), then they gave me a lot of run around and never refunded my money. better apps are out there for free, and higher quality companies prompt to cancel when I delete an app or understand mistakes happen when free trials get converted to paid accounts the person doesn't want and have a helpful relaxed policy. This company does not.

SCAM meditating app

SCAM meditating app, I cancelled within 1 week in the trial, The status showed cancelling for a few days (they coded their app to delay the cancellation to charge you) then charged 206 CAD and finally showed it cancelled my subscription after dragging it for days. The company is not doing anything about their faulty business model getting revenue from charging cancelled clients with thousands of reviewers complaining. My Bank even recognize this seller as a SCAM/Fraud, had a call from them saying this company is known for SCAM in our algorithm and they cancelled my card, with my new card, they charged me again since Mastercard sent them the new card info. Disputing the charge! This is a SHAME

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. Once they have your credit card information they will not allow you to cancel your subscription, will try to charge you every few days, and the pricing listed is deceptive. Use Calm instead. So sad when people exploit people's mental health for profit. Definitely did not help mine

-5 Star SCAM

I would give them a negative score if possible! Cancelled my trial and was charged the $150 yearly fee anyway. Their website is complete garbage, transparency is NOT what they are about. This is a complete scam and I would happily jump on a class action lawsuit with others!

Complete scam

Complete scam. Beware! I tried the one week free trial. I canceled after 2 days and deleted the app. They charged me $150 for a year subscription. I contacted them they said because I did not have an email saying my subscription was canceled they will not refund me my money. I've been fighting back and forth through email and have finally disputed the charge through my creditcard.

SCAM

SCAM. Buyer beware! I thankfully used a prepaid card (as i do for most trials) and after the 7 days when I cancelled, they tried to charge me $150 and even after I emailed them to ask them to stop they kept trying (the day I emailed them, they tried multiple times in a day). Buyer beware!

So interesting, after their response below that was posted today, they tried to charge my card again (September 8) Scammers!!

Deceptive and Misleading Subscription Practices

I feel completely misled by Open. I signed up thinking I was just trying out a one time offer, but they hid the fact that it was a recurring subscription. My initial payment was around $25, and then without clear notice they charged me $150 for an annual renewal. I never even used their services, yet I lost a dispute with my credit card company and was forced to keep a subscription I did not want.

The way their sign up page is presented makes it seem like you are doing a trial or short term plan, but in reality you are locked into an auto renewing membership that is difficult to cancel. I went into my account and saw my credit card information stored even after cancellation, which makes me even more uncomfortable.

I have no trust in this company and I do not recommend anyone sign up. The pricing structure and lack of transparency are deceptive. This feels like a trap for customers rather than an honest service.

No notice of the trial ending

No notice of the trial ending. I didn’t even open the app until a charge of $150 was put through. They charged for the entire year when it said only a mothly fee when I signed up. No help and no refund for an app I’ll never use even though I called the number that appears on the transaction (they have a google voice #) as well as emailed support while the transaction was still in process.
Definitely a class action law suit should take place. I would think better of a meditation app.

Hi Rachel - there may be a slight misunderstanding here. The $150 was for the annual charge where as the $20 was for a monthly subscription. If you still need a refund processed or have any other questions, please reach out to support@o-p-e-n.com and we'd be happy to take a look.

FRAUD - VC funded greedy and ethically questionable

I never signed up for a subscription. they got one of my cards I rarely use and wont delete it from their system. Despite disputing the charge and cancelling in February I have been billed 4 more months.
I reached out to customer service and they gave no support, tough luck no refund and pls check your bank statement.

I guess when you raise a 14.5M Series A for a wellness studio you have to make some compromises to pay the piper.

I see many reviews with people signing up and not being able to remove the card or reverse billing.

Stay away. unethical practices
