The best cataract surgery!
Quite naturally I was nervous before the procedure . Everyone from the people on Reception, Angela the admissions nurse, all the team during the surgery and finally the wonderful ALLON BASRAM put me at ease .
The surgery was performed with professional efficiency and was totally pain fee.
The procedure was followed up with a phone call from ALLON the next day.
If you need to have cataract surgery, I can highly recommend OCL .

Mixed result....
I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty with Dr Mohammad Dehabadi in London three months ago. All my interactions with Mr Dehabadi have been very good.
The upper blepharoplasty results are excellent. However, I am disappointed by the outcome of the transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty.
My eyes are quite hollowed, and one is significantly more hollowed than the other. During my initial check-up visit, Mr Dehabadi showed me a picture of the two removed fat pads, and I pointed out that one was much bigger than the other. He responded that it wasn't the case; it was the way the picture was taken.
I understand that results cannot be guaranteed. It's a specialised surgery, and I appreciate that Mr Dehabadi may not carry out many transconjunctival lower blepharoplasties. I should have checked beforehand.

I couldn’t have asked for a better…
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mr. Mearza is not only a world-class surgeon, but also a genuinely kind and caring doctor, exactly as he was years ago when my son was under his care through the NHS.
I went to Mr. Mearza with a recurrent corneal abrasion caused by an untreated eye injury from decades ago. The pain had progressively worsened to the point where I would in sleep scream out in pain during the involuntary rapid eye movement phase of sleep.
Thanks to Mr. Mearza’s skillful correction of the corneal lesion using a very quick procedure (PTK laser surgery) I was after a few days pain-free at last and could sleep again.
For brevity I omitted all the pre surgery and post surgery aftercare details that are required for a successful outcome.
The ancillary staff, including the optometrist and specialist ophthalmic nurse Jenny, were equally exceptional—clearly chosen for their expertise and the wonderful qualities they bring to their roles.
The admin and reception team were also fantastic, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free.

A wonderful experience for cataract surgery.
I attended the OCL surgery in Centennial Park, Elstree for cataract surgery on both eyes.
I cannot recommend OCL highly enough. I was treated by Allon Basram.
The whole experience was exceptional. In common with most patients I was nervous but everyone from the delightful receptionists , the anaesthetist and all the other professionals in attendance were wonderful and made me feel absolutely at ease. Allon conducted the actual surgery with the utmost, care, professionalism , efficiency, expertise and attention followed up with a telephone call the following day.
I couldn’t wish for better treatment.

OCL Vision; very much a premier experience !
From the initial consultation through to my surgery for Refractive Lens Exchange a month later I was kept fully appraised of what would take place, every step of the way.
Being able to meet the surgeon who explained the procedure in detail, providing very clear advice around the right combination of lenses was of immense help. She instilled complete confidence. So much so that I actually looked forward to having the surgery !
Needless to say, it went very smoothly with no pain experienced of any sort.
After just 24 hours I was able to read and watch TV with relative ease. Now, only a week later my eyes are like they were in my 20’s, with no more contact lenses or glasses required again !
A few more weeks of eye drops and that will be it. I’m looking forward to my follow up with OCL in their New Cavendish Street, London location next week.
A real game changer for me.
I would fully recommend OCL Vision for anyone wanting to experience something positively life changing.

Five stars for the actual procedure
Five stars for the actual procedure. I’m a scaredy cat but it was really not too daunting. Mark Wilkins was recommended by a retired eye consultant friend and it was all seamless. Had no pain or discomfort. Nursing staff all really lovely. I had RLE and the colours next morning - wow! Giving the review four stars however as I was less impressed with the admin side of things. Mistakes were made, conflicting advice given about the payment plan, I didn’t receive the info pack initially and yesterday was asked by the lens company for feedback for a different surgeon and location so some wires crossed there. For a clinic of this calibre everything should go smoothly. Apart from that I am now glasses free and in a state of total wonderment about what I can now see.

Mr Ali Mearza has a magic wand
Mr Ali Mearza has a magic wand. He used it to point at both my eyes. Voila! When i opened both my eyes, to my surprise i can see much clearer and objects from far distance. Every colour which i hadn’t been able to see for so long. Life is so beautiful.
I had 10 days gap between the two cataract surgeries. Right eye was operated 1st and left eye 10 days later. To my delight, on my 3rd days after the 1st surgery , I was able to see things clearly. On second left eye surgery it was much quicker. It took only two days.
Can’t say thank you enough to Mr Ali Mearza for his excellent work. His care towards his patient is second to none.
I had a very calm and wonderful experience with his team and all staff I came across at both clinics of OCL Vision.
I highly recommend OCL Vision to anyone seeking specialist eye care with exceptional results.

Saved my vision
I can't thank Mr Chien Wong and the wonderful team at OCL Vision enough. After suffering a giant retinal tear in my left eye is was rushed to OCL Vision. I was terrified of losing my sight as the tear was almost 50% of my retina. Mr Wong’s care, concern, and expertise was brilliant. He performed laser surgery that same day that quite literally saved my vision in my lft eye.
It’s easy to see why he’s considered the best retinal surgeon in the UK. His calm reassurance and precision gave me confidence from the very first consultation. I will always be deeply grateful for his help.

Incredible experience and life changing
My eye surgery is life changing. From initial phone consultation to surgery and after care I cannot praise my surgeon and the staff enough. Everyone has been kind and very professional. I was concerned about the surgery and whether it would be a success, I did not believe I would ever be able to see without glasses or lenses but I was proved wrong and I am delighted.

Had my eye floater vitrectomy last week…
Highly recommend Mr Wong and the team, I have been suffering in both eyes for some time, waiting and hoping they would improve but sadly they didn’t , i had been doing my research and booked a consultation with Mr Wong , I had lots of tests and was well looked after before the consultation! Mr Wong discussed options and he listened to me , he could appreciate that these eye floaters were in fact really impairing not just my vision but my quality of life . After this I was shortly booked in for a vitrectomy on my right eye to remove the eye floaters . I was told it would be unlikely all could be removed due to proximity to the lens. The surgery was comfortable , no pain , I didn’t feel a thing , after I was reassured all went well and shortly was heading home ! My eye has continued to heal well, no pain! Minimal swelling, I had blurred vision for 48 hours but then it’s perfect again . Even better than before I actually think! a good 95 percent of my floaters have gone . Only a tiny small few remain and I couldn’t be happier , I am booked in again shortly for my left eye floaters, I can’t wait ! I don’t think many professionals in this industry really understand the effect that these pesky eye floaters have, I would absolutely recommend Mr Wong and the team.
